Incorrect answers marked in red before completion, cannot review correct answers of completed test. Before finishing a sample test, you can double-check all answers. However, incorrect answers are already marked in red, making the double-check more like cheating. Additionally once a sample test has been completed, only incorrect answers can be reviewed. If you guessed at any answers but got them right, there's no way to see those questions again.
The app tends to freeze a lot for me, and I wish the fading in and out effect between questions would go away. Otherwise it does what is intended.
This app would be five stars were it not for the ads. I used both apps Technician & General to pass both portions of the exams. I'm now using this for the Extra test. I would be glad to pay a small fee without stupid ads.
HamRadioExam is the best available app for license exam preparation. Four sections allow you to: study correct answers, take a section quiz, take a sample test, and makes past results & recommendations. It is easy to use and easy to read.
This app seemed closest to meeting my needs. I was wrong. It skips questions and counts the skipped questions as wrong answers. It asks questions which have been withdrawn from the current 2020 - 2024 question pool. Uninstalling.
Great apps! I used all three, tech, general and extra went and took all three tests and passed them all. Definitely the way to go and I highly recommend.
the ONLY app that lets you study the just the CORRECT answers. When studying a 700 question pool, it's a waste of time to look at anything other than the correct answers.
This series of ham test prep apps has been very helpful. I used them to help prepare for all 3 exams for myself and to help teach my wife and son. I found that doing a section at a time with the ARRL license manual in hand or someone who can help explain followed by doing the section test open book and then closed book was a good approach. Then for sample tests, I started open book (no guessing allowed) followed by closed book and then take the real test.
App is great. I successfully used the Tech and General app to pass and obtain my prior two licenses as KE0JIT. The Extra app is no different in quality.
Finished studying and realized its old pool. I added all the subtopics qs and it came over 700. The new pool is 622 I believe. Wasted probably 6 hours on studying about 100 qs that have been removed from the pool. Not sure why author note on app says its for updated 2020 pool when it is Not?!
I took a section quiz, but It didn't show me if I was right or wrong, it just showed all my answers highlighted when I went to review it, I'll stick to "ham test prep"
Awesome app!!!....just took my Extra exam...scored 100%.....also scored 100% on both the General and Technician exams as well...using the Roy Watson Ham Radio Exam apps....would highly recommend all of them....Thanks Roy!!!! You Rock!!!! Ricky - Nashville, TN p.s...My wife also just took her Technician test using Roy's apps and scored 100%!!!

So glad they updated the extra for 2020. I recommend this to anyone looking for help with the ARRL study book!
Great app! I earned my Extra using this app. Great study tools for groups, as well as full 50 question tests.
Excellent options to prepare for exam. Ads are unobtrusive. Wonderful!

Force close. Freezes up. Used to work.
Developer gave me feedback from original review and cleared up my lack of understanding about how the app can show feedback. THANKS
Excellent work, got my Extra from this help.
GREAT help!!! Only missed 4 questions!!!
It was great helped with tech and general
Convenient. Great study aid.
Love the app. Are there any plans to provide an update with the new question pool?
Excellent study tool
No updated app for the new pool questions.
Does this app use the July 2020 extra pool questions?
Helped me pass my Element 4 exam! Thanks!
Wonderful! So glad to have an app to study the correct answers! What would make it even bettter is a way to track when you study a section - or at least how many times you've studied it and when was the most recent time. That'd be super helpful. Or maybe that's there and I didn't find it yet? I plan to study multiple times, without any quizzing or pracice tests, but it appears I would need to track that externally. Thank you also that the app uses so little space! But kindly allow to move to SD.
