I've used Handbase before going all the way back to Palm and it has always been an excellent DB program. However , being able to print locally is vital for my work and currently you can only save what is visible on the screen to PDF so there is currently no way to print out your work on the go. (Workaround: you can send to email which comes through as text, then copy and paste to Word and print that)
Like others I have used this on handheld devices since long before android was created. Simply the best and easiest database I use. I have been running the same entry forms for so long I can't comment on current version of these. I link with the desktop application which is functional but looks dated. Love to see the suite upgraded.
Having an issue with signing into the app which i bought less than a year ago. Contacted via the email provided, twice in 5 days, still no reply. Wonder if their support team really exists... Previously only used it for a few weeks and it stopped working, all my entries were erased and replaced with the data unknown to me (possibly other user's entry...) I contacted support team twice now to no response. Extremely disappointed with lack of support and the quality of the app.
This is a fantastic relational database that runs on computers and smartphones. Have tried the desktop version and amazed by how well it runs. I have it running on an Android tablet and will update this review within a week with test results. I have successfully run it on Android 4 and 8. I tried it with Android 9 and the received the message that "this app was developed for earlier versions..." This same message is being displayed on hundreds of apps running Android 9 and 10 due changes being made by hosting software companies, phone, and tablet manufacturers. The HandBase developer is working on the update for new devices and says it will run on Android 9 in the near future. Meanwhile, I am happy to have a real RDB running compatibly on both platforms. Will use this every day, and it will remain 5 stars unless it just breaks.
I've used this app for years - first on Palm OS and on Android OS. I've always gotten first rate service and it is a quality product. It's easy to use and provides flexibility in building personal data management tools. Worth the purchase price!
Ever since updating to OneUI of Samsung, the app stopped working properly. My entries were not saved. I had to constantly reenter data. Please fix this.
Can create databases on android but failed to establish partnership between manbook pro desktop and android phone. Effectively can not transfer databases. Tried to send a database as attachment via email. It is not seen on the list of databases when Handbase for Android is opened.
I have been happy with this app for a long time but with a newer android phone (note 10) the entries disappear and I need to keep re entering. Please please update the app to make it compatible with newer android versions
I used to be very happy with purchase. Not so happy anymore. It deletes data input on a regular bases. I will have to find something else. When it doesn't delete data it's great!
This App is great! I've been using it for more than 10yrs. However i just noticed they take a long time replying to questions. Also , the last update was 2017.
Very frustrated. Have used this app for years with no problem but it is now deleting records and that is causing me considerable annoyance. Can this be resolved please?
I've been using HanDBase for years. I started with a Palm version. Some of the databases are from that era. Still a solid app. Kudos!
ive used this on android and ipads. Great easy to use relational database. I sync it to an MS Access Database for daily work order syatem. Works offline.
Not compatible with newer android versions, needs an update.
No longer any good on newer android phones so needs update Also a tasker plugin to add records would be great
I've used this app since Palm PIM days. Still a good app, but hasn't seen a lot of development.
Totally unsupported, resulting in an app riddled with unresolved bugs.
Unstable, and it has stopped working.
If there is an data import function, I couldn't find it.
Early days, but seems to be working quite well
Has kept my collections for years. grest app
Nothing password character * Please add password character thankyou
Use it every day for the last 10 years.
You,re mom
I have been with this app for 18 years since Palm ver. and found no other apps can be replaced with this in simple, straight forward, versatile usability. The saddest thing is this app is getting old without update. I wish the developer could find the way to monetize better so that both dev/user are happy to get along with this app forever. I would love to pay for subscription if they wish.
This app hasn't been updated in many years. Just moving from record to record, when opening a file, it will copy a field from the 2nd record into the 1st record and you won't probably realize that until you go back to the 1st record. There is no way to cancel the changes made to the file. If you don't have a backup, you're in trouble, but even if you do, you don't know if the backup had also been corrupted...
Literally used this for over 8 years when I switched from the wonderful Palm database program SmartlistsToGo to this for Android. It has always worked fine, if not as seamless, flexible or elegant. Syncing between Android and desktop has always been something of a challenge, and gets harder every year when a new version of Android comes out. Now, it won't sync with the desktop at all (Android Pie). Vendor is no longer responding. Works fine on the phone, and I copy the databases to Google Drive and then download them to the desktop, so I can use the Windows app. Not great, but it all I have. If you only need a phone-based app and don't care about support, it's fine. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. My problem is I've looked and can't find a decent Android Database/Windows Database combination that syncs. Until I do, I will stick with this.
