This is very helpful for not just learning the different Hangul character's but for getting an understanding of the language structure. The optional quizzes after each lesson are very helpful, as are the pronunciation guides and the animation to understand how to write each character. Ads are not distracting and do not get in the way of learning. Love this app!
A simple introduction to the Hangul alphabet, with several helpful explanations along the way. One minor problem is that the alphabet has a few instances where two characters sound the same: the app itself mentions that. Yet, in the quizzes, it asks us to choose a character corresponding to a given sound, and gives us both the correct characters as options. As there is no way to judge which character is the one being spoken, every now and then you will get an answer wrong.
As someone who is new to learning languages, it was pretty hard trying to find learning apps. But this app really helped me a lot. You have to memorize the sounds and characters, then take the quizes, and i know that might not work for everyone. But it really did a lot for me, and i think it could help a lot of other people too.
The best Hangul app I've tried. The interface isn't particularly attractive but the content is superior. It gives clear context and explains everything thoroughly, allowing an understanding beyond mere memorisation offered by others. You are also allowed to repeat and review sections ans it's also free, simply asking for donations. I find this app truly useful. This works best if you're self-directed learner.
I've been struggling to teach myself Hanguel. I finally found a great book, but it's audio is lacking. This app made up for a lot of it, and it also gave variations that one would hear in reality. I love this series. I hope they keep putting out more.
I would have given this precious gem 5 stars unless it has that one single issue I'm facing right now. That is, the app keeps stopping whenever I click on "start quiz" button. Thus I can't test myself out to know my real progress and it's so frustrating. Hope you can fix this issue.
It's really cool and explicit app to use for learning hangul. I've been using many apps for that and searching different sites, but in this app there were explained some IMPORTANT things that I haven't seen anywhere. It was also structured really great, making it easier for you to learn. You should give it a try!
The English descriptions of sounds are incorrect. The pronunciation of the Korean letters adds an "ah" sound at the end. The English sound translations in the quizzes are incorrect. The people that developed this application do not understand proper English pronunciation. It is the best Korean alphabet app I've used so far. I've developed software at the largest USA education company. There are many ways to improve this app.
With other apps you have to do a lot of guesswork. Like why some letters are pronounced differently in some words and not in others. This app cleared a lot of concepts and explained everything in a clear and logical manner. I highly recommend this app to all who hope to learn the language.
I'm learning a lot from this app. As a beginner, this app helps me understand better the korean language. For those who really want to learn, it is better to start from the basic or foundation of the language and that is to begin with the alphabet. From here, to be able to recognize and read the alphabet eases one to understand the following lessons. And having a good grasp of the Hangul builds your foundation towards being able to read/write the korean langauge. This app totally nailed it! 😎
It isn't built on fun or experience. You actually remember the material after you leave. It gives you a lesson to read, then quiz to take. I personally recommend this app and also take notes to help.
GREAT APP!! It is helping me alot in learning Hangul! I kind of started to watch kpop yesterday and now I want to learn Korean! I am also part South Korean so it will be good to learn my heritage! I am planning on visiting Seoul when I'm older and this app is great! The only thing I wish it had was the defenitions of words to help me learn what they mean, but for the most part this app is AMAZING!! Totally recommend it!
Im about 10 minutes into this app & already I can tell it is going to be very effective! Im learning to speak Korean using LingoDeer but I find it so difficult to try to memorize symbols (Hangul letters) without any basic foundation of what, how or why they are how they are! I cant "test out" in LD if I dont know how to read Hangul, but LD is lacking in teaching me to read Hangul. This app seems very promising and I think both apps together will allow me to finally connect the dots. Thumbs up!
This app has been very useful in introducing me to reading and writing in Hangal with no previous experience. The lessons are interesting and informative, and I feel it is helping me progress quickly each time I study.
I've had this app for almost a year and it's visual aid has improved as well as its lessons. I highly recommend for the beginner, or if you need to brush up on hangul.
Best Hangul(Korean alphabet) learning app for absolute beginners 👍👍👍👍👍 Well articulated, easy to access and comprehend. But why would the app providers of such a wonderful app put the Next two apps under purchase 😕 well it's not expensive though ...i think it's #400 or something like that 🤔🤔 still can't purchase it though
This app is much better than I expected. I was only looking for some flashcards with sounds for me to practice, but there are actually great explanations for the letters with it. Very happy with it!
Really love this app! I tried to learn Hangul alphabet from the book and got confused how to pronounce zillion flavors of "u" and "o". Then I tried a live class with a native speaker teacher and while I had picked up some basic phrases I was still unclear which letter is pronounced which way (because you can ask the teacher to repeat the sound only 5 times max before you look like either a jerk or hearing challenged). This app was amazing with helping me to know CORRECT sounds and learn Hangul!
VERY helpful. Instead of just teaching only how to write and pronounce words. It'll also teach the History of Hangul and it was very interesting now i understand a bit more about it instead of only knowing how to read and write.
Thankyou very much. This app is helping me a lot. The descriptions given are very easy and interesting to understand. I would really like to thank whoever created this app. I got the potential of learning Korean from BTS. And this is the best app, I would recommend. Quizzes are very well creates I started learning it its that I can contact with BTS whenever/if I meet them. I thought it is just imaginary you learning new app but this made my dream come true.... 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝....
I've downloaded several Hangul learning apps, but this is hands down the best one on the market. Does a fantastic job breaking down the material into easy to learn parts. Highly recommended.
this app is amazing to start learning korean from scartch it teaches me hangul in a period of about 2 days it doesn't only help u memorize hangul but understand it too ... you just need to get this app as a fisrt step then i recommend going through books afterwards and if u still need more practice go search on Korean from zero it's an amazing book to practice 💕 Standing ovation for this stunning APP 💜
This app is best to learn hangul language. I will just say in simple words that "Hangul (Korean Alphabet)" App is the easiest and the best app to learn hangul or korean alphabet. It takes quizes to revise whatever you have learnt and I think that one can easily learn hangul, korean alphabet using this app.
Very informative, the interface is primitive, but intuitive and very helpful. Can teach you to read Hangul in one day.
Really gets you going as fast as possible and teaches you the right pronunciation. Also do checkout the other apps from this developer, they are as good too.
Fantastic app. Other language-learning apps don't show you the logic behind the language and instead rely on you memorizing all the characters. Thing is, this method is soo much simpler and actually makes it easier to remember the alphabet and each letter's corresponding sound. One thing that could be improved: the sound doesn't seem to work on wireless headphones. Just fyi.
