Hanping Chinese Dictionary

The application is good. I can easily find the meanings of the words I need. The functions such as the ability to tag and bookmark words, handwriting recognition and radicals is perfect. What I like most is how accurate the translations are and how simple the dictionary is to use. Please make a version for Apple devices so others using iPads and iPhones can enjoy this application as well!

I am learning Chinese Mandarin, I find the app is simple to understand meaning for words. One thing I would like to see is when I try to copy a word, it also copy the characters. For example: it will put the pinyin mixed together with the characters. That is frustrating!! Or perhaps there is a way to separate the two when I am copying??

Great dictionary with thousands of words. Wish had an option to change background color of the app to make it more appealing. For many years the layout design looks too plain like black & white.

Fantasic app for quickly translating Mandarin! I love how flexible the search is on this app, I can search for pinyin and English from the same place and get really fast accurate results. I can even draw a character to search for a chinese word, which I imagine was a feat from the developers end. The only thing I wish this had was a slightly larger vocabulary, every once in a while I search for an archiac word and it doesnt find anything.

Easy to use with accurate translation of characters and helpful examples of sentence use and construction along with pronunciation. I especially like the writing feature, it's great tool to have as a language learner.

Beautiful and with previous categories to help your study, like HSK levels. Is possible to create your own categories to organize words you need to practise, and works offline. I use it since 2018. As a suggestion, it'd be nice if the app had bookmarks, so if someone is studying HSK 1 for example, it can just continue from where it left.

High quality audio and I'm impressed by the simplistic breakdown of Chinese characters. Love that you can contain everything in folders and there is a 'history' feature that makes it easy to see what I've previously looked at & learned.

There's absolutely no doubt about the wonderfulness of this app .I highly recommend to all and sundry . please i have a little issue upgrading to the pro version, I've made payment and has been confirmed by Google by a notification but still the app appears the same .it hasn't changed into the pro features..please help resolve the problem for me .thank you

Such a wonderful app !! perfect for foreigners as well as chinese people. All inputs :English, pinyin or hanzi are accepted, and such perfect results. I recommend to everyone traveling through china ( who don't know chinese) and also to chinese going abroad.

Thanks so much.. the characters are neat and correct now unlike the version i was using earlier.. Making my job less stressful.. A chinese/english Translator. oh i forgot.. the app is very easy to use.

Hello, ur app is very useful but i wish to report a minor bug. When I open the status bar ur app is showing me today's flash card with hanzi. The character is red, however the text is white on white background and i cannot see it. It would be nice if u could change this thing. Thanx

It's a really good app. One thing that really annoys me is the back button. When you click on a word you and check sentences related to that word, if you press the back button of the app it takes you back to the list of words related to the pinyin or word you typed, rather than the definition of the word you were looking at.

How to reach Mark? I like it that Hanping Lite lets me handwrite a Simplified Chinese character and gives me English translation. However, I wish to transfer the digital form of that handwritten character to my computer so that it goes into Skype input window. The object is to conduct a Mandarin chat using handwriting instead of pinyin input. I have no idea how to do this. Can anyone help me?

typing area too small difficult for edit. noun, place , adjective should group together for Pinyin.eg ditu, baidu,manyi . This is for easy input. However , writing input is perfect. voice input column appearing slow as compared with 搜狗。

Although very few words i could not find them in this dictionary (could be is the non simplified form), overall experience have been excellent. Grateful..

Excellent dictionary. I am an overseas teochewnese who never had tge opportunity to go to a chinese schooling. I learnt my hanzi with this apps. Self educate everyday, watching youtube. Originally i have already knew about 1,200 characters. Now after one year, i think i have accumulate about another 700 characters. I recomment this apps to people who has a keen interest to self study like myself. Good job hanping! Thank you.

This app was really helpful for me while learning Chinese Mandarin. I was a able to lean Chinese characters and also it's meaning.

That is the best! Love especially the widget. Just tapto change the character. Even my daughter has started to learn some funny words such as 'straw bag'! Lol. Just add 'show off!' That would be great.

Very good dictionary. I've been using it for many years and always found it to be accurate, convenient and useful. I use the Cantonese version on a regular basis too.

I finally found the perfect app to learn chinese. It has almost everything and the layout is very aesthetic. 5 stars deserved.

The search history has a limit - an entire day of my searches was deleted with no warning. They also include Chinese swear words in search results.

Best apps that I have been using for several years. Only sometimes when I need to look for some characters, can't seem to find it. So have upgraded to Hanping pro just recently.

I use easily pinyin from this app. Also it can help me to understand clearly radicals. If there are sounds for these word, this app will be excellent!

So much synonym for a single word. I get confused it is a essay writer apps or not. Only the most common word should be included. Not recommended to beginner.
