HAPPN, how does it work?
1. Every time you cross paths with someone in real life, their profile shows up on your timeline!2. You can check out the profiles on the timeline whenever you want. You’ll be able to see the number of times you’ve crossed paths with someone, as well as the time and place of your last encounter.3. There’s someone you like? Like them secretly: they won’t find out… unless the interest is mutual! But you can also choose to be noticed by sending a Charm.4. And when you’ve both liked each other, you have a Crush, which allows you to start a conversation.

The localisation feature is buggy! You don't see any new profile during a whole week, but if you disable and turn on your profile again, you suddenly see them appearing. The tech team should really address this problem since this is the main feature which makes happen different from the other app! I applied the successive updates as recommended without success.
Basically can't use the app unless you upgrade $$, which would be ok if it wasn't so overpriced. This app is not worth the amount that they think it is. Also, I turned off all of the notifications and would still get atleast 2 notifications a day, all of which are pretty pointless (if I wanted a daily notification to see "what I missed" I wouldn't have turned off all of the other notifications). I'm sticking to bumble and hinge.
After three weeks of use, I have two people to choose from on my "crossed paths" list. One day it said I crossed paths with 11 people, but only one was visible. Maybe it counts men in this total. The core concept of the app is neat in theory, but in practice, unless you travel a great deal, with large stretches of said travel on foot or via public transit, happn just doesn't seem to work. For anyone with a usual 9-5 type life in one city, you will have no matches. A definite swipe left on Happn.
( Update 2022 the happs about the same and the memberships are way way way to much money like extremely extremely expensive as if they don't care if you join or not) (06/17/19not enough people use this app it has an extremely small user base. I was traveling all this week and had very few matches I've been using this app off and on and it's small. not effective at all
hangs all the time and fails to update UI often. written by amateurs. Also they managed to include more nagging annoying popups and upsells than Tinder. Quite an accomplishment. It's gotten even worse now: if I try to add photos it sends me to an Android app for selecting system icons. How did you even?!
What a depressing experience... Endless browsing of profiles, only a single match in almost 2 years, hahaha. And then I constantly get bugged with "Open Happn to see what you've missed" which I at first did with lots of enthusiasm only to find there are no new encounters and I "missed" nothing. BTW, super complete profile, probably redid it 10 times since joining, I'm not limiting my encounters to a ridiculous radius, and I travel a lot over weekends, so not limited there either. Worthless!
This app is utter garbage, and it's even more useless than Bumble; there's no way I'd pay for any premium services. NO ONE ever shows up on the app, and that map feature is a complete waste of time. I've deleted the app from my phone.
The app does not follow through with advertised services! You get likes of questionable origin shortly after making a profile. The "likes" never respond or show any interest if you subscribe to uncover their profile. If you discontinue service and restart those same profiles will reappear to "like" your profile. I am highly confident happn is employing a bot system to entice people to subscribe. Also if you cancel the subscription to prevent billing the app will act as if you did subscribe
Terrible, said I crossed paths with someone over 200 miles away & with someone in USA and I'm in the UK 🤷♂️,neither one of us had been to each others towns, this app lies so much about crossing paths with people, don't believe it, its just a scam to get you to upgrade.
The idea is great but your like and dislike buttons are so far apart from each other. You can't swipe and so it means you need to use both hands which is annoying. If you don't want to feel like you're copying tinder, can you at least put the like and dislike next to each other. You can have a setting so they can be next to each other on the right or on the left of the screen depending on what handed they are. Simples
There is an issue in the apo. Even after receiving message from my match, it doesn't show the notification on time or sometime doesn't send notification at all. Please fix this issue.
Dissapoint app as I've subscribe for the premium hoping to see more crossing or people but almost a week since I've first started I have even cross with anyone. Tried to expand to the whole country and still no result.
happn is a app with a different approach (you see people with whom you have crossed paths with, even chosing the place that happened), a good UI and several options to personalize your profile, as well as the possibility to filter to only see the kind of people you want to (like who's looking for a relationship or nothing serious; despite that's exclusive for premium users).
I tried to buy premium version for it, today morning using my Credit Card but at the end after deducting the money they told me transaction failed. I need my money back!! This isnt the way you mess up with someones money! this is not done! I need my money back.
Owner and admins of this app is looter, fraud & cheater. I purchased 1 year subscription few days ago. Now after few days after uninstalling and reinstalling it doesn't restore my premium subscription. Contacted them through customer care but no response with proper solution. Don't buy premium friends. Otherwise your money too will loss as they cheated with me.
Really starting to get fed up of the 'see what you missed' notifications. Only to find NOTHING has happened. On the boarder of uninstalling.
It's just looting people after 1 subscription 399 adding more scheme and charging extra for flash note then they will charge for profile boost. It's nothing but scam and fraud with us .
They force you to join premium subscription. Stopped showing me people around me. Those who have liked me already are not being shown on match option untill you buy premium. Update.- Why those girls aren't shown even 2 months after they have liked me. To make them a mutual crush I have to buy premium. And also your shortlist feature is completely useless.
The UI seems unfriendly to the user, with a "block" button looking like a "close profile" one. And the notifications... They keep showing ads for the Premium which is not worth it given the tiny user base, and the buggy free experience. And the map bugs out pretty often, giving you a whole country instead of your zone.
