It has actually been very helpful for drowning out the road noise and dull the train horns, so they can get better sleep, uninterrupted. It also knows by the programming of colors and sounds when sleep is and wake-up time is. Actually helping big time with sleeping through the night which before they were getting up multiple times a night. Something so simple and has made our sleep so much better. Good job.
This thing is an absolute life saver. I love that we can set up designated nap times with timers so I don't have to remember to turn it off. And I can turn it back on when my child sleeps for longer than normal right from an app without having to disturb her. It's so easy to use and all of the sound and light options are perfect for a child's room.
Had this unit for 2 years now and the connection has been terrible from day one. It often takes 4-5 tries to connect and keeping the connection comes down to sheer luck. The whole point of owning it goes out the window when you need to physically walk into the room to change settings.
Bluetooth connection is the worst I've seen. I'm literally right next to it and it doesn't reconnect. The app gets 2 stars instead of 1 because you can customize lights and sound the first time you connect, but make sure you customize all of you favs immediately cause you will not be able to reconnect after the first time.
Love Hatch rest!! We have one in every bed room, and we all sleep so much better than before. The app makes them Easy to use, and set up and schedule. I love that I can control all of them with my phone, super convenient. App does what I need it too and I've never had an issue. I love that I can use the app even when its actively updating, and its not slow or anythingl! Sound quality is good, much better than other sound machines we've tried. And the light is beautiful and customizable and fun!
Love the Hatch! I have it programed to go on and off at certain times for my daughter, it's great! My only complaint is that sometimes it disconnects from my phone. When it does this i can't modify the sound or turn off / on. Other than that I love it!
Awful. I just got mine and I was really excited about it but it will not connect to Bluetooth at all, the app is stuck on the "connect the Bluetooth" setup page. I click the "add a hatch" and it just takes me to the page that says connect to Bluetooth and then nothing. I've tried unplugging it, pressing the Bluetooth, going into airplane mode all the suggestions on Google and still won't connect to Bluetooth. I've wanted this for months I finally could afford it but I'm extremely disappointed.
Initially reviewed the app as 2 stars due to an issue with the bluetooth not connecting to the device. The issue has since been fixed and is working properly again. Overall I am happy with the user experience of this device and ease of use. I would edit my initial review but it seems to have gone away.
I love how my Hatch has helped me at night to unwind at night as part of my bedtime routine with the light setting and a meditation to choose. Then of course the beautiful sunrises to awaken to every morning with a gentle sound of my choosing that gradually gets louder as the sunrise gets brighter is the best way to wake up. UPDATED REVIEW:Now that I have has for awhile. DEVICE is wonderful APP not so much. I have subscription yet I can't get the starred features. Frustrating.
I have 3 and enjoy the sound quality, timing features and ready to wake lights. The app almost always takes 2 times to load/ connect. I would enjoy if they added a power button on the main screen where you see all the devices for fast on/ off access instead of it having to load into each one.
The app and device is great overall, there are only some minor bumps that need to be addressed.. There were times where I couldn't connect to the device even though it was right beside me and some times where the app takes a long time to load.. Hopefully something can be done..
The app fails to automatically pull up my device.. and other times I can see my device on the app but it won't let me open it to change the music/light or volume selection. Other than that my device works great. Mostly find myself needing to make the selection changes on the actual device buttons.
My girl is 2.5 and is at the point where her will to be awake outweighs her being obviously very tired. She was like a little jack-in-the-box, popping up outta her bed every 2 minutes. I was at my wits end! I saw online that parents used the "okay to wake" system; red=bed green=good morning. It's really easy to control colors and sound from my phone and not disturb her sleep. Awesome product and an awesome app!
Disconnects and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have been having difficulty with the app and my restore won't play at night anymore. There is no tech support phone number. You have to email and wait 1-2 business days for them to respond to your email. They haven't called even though they have my number and my machine still isn't working. It is a very expensive clock at this point.
So many different sounds and colored lights, easily control it with your phone by Bluetooth, can set times for it to turn on and off, can make different sounds and lights for different times of the day to turn on and off! Absolutely love this!!!
It works fine. It'd just be 5 stars if it faded sound/noise on wake up rather than an abrupt change. The app doesn't always let me open up the device which can be annoying
I love love love this sound machine/night light and the app. Both are so user friendly. There are a lot of options which make the customization wonderful!!! The only downside is that my phone struggles to connect to the hatch device more often than I would like.
The hatch is a great sound machine. My favorite thing is being able to have different programs for nap time, bed time and wake up time. Not having to go physically turn it on every night is great. Let's be real, as a parent that's a tedious little task you are very likely to forget during your bedtime routine.
Connectivity drops frequently and the delay between an action and the Hatch device responding is unacceptably long. If my Rest+ and Restore were within return window, I would absolutely find something else.
Love my Hatch!! Best purchase ever. Literally. I'm hoping they will add new sounds and meditations overtime but I am very happy with the choices so far after having the Hatch for about 5 months. The app is very user friendly too!
We got this for our baby (22 weeks pregnant) and the biggest problem we've stumbled onto is that now I can't sleep with out it. I guess it's a good thing our little squish will be sleeping in our room for the first few months! 14 months after having our little guy and he religiously uses this for bed! We love love love our hatch baby!
The app won't connect to the hatch unit which is ridiculous because it's a Bluetooth connection, so can't even blame this on spotty WiFi. If the selling point of hatch is that you can control it with your phone, then the Bluetooth connection needs to be seemless. I'll update my ranking if things change, otherwise we'll be switching to another option that actually works.
