Hatsune Miku (Japanese: 初音ミク), sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media. Hatsune Miku is portrayed as a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. She uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizing technologies. She also uses Crypton Future Media's Piapro Studio, a singing synthesizer VSTi Plugin. She was the second Vocaloid sold using the Vocaloid 2 engine, and the first Japanese Vocaloid to use the Japanese version of the Vocaloid 2 engine. Her voice is modeled from Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. Hatsune Miku has performed at her concerts onstage as an animated projection.
The name of the character comes from merging the Japanese words for first (初 hatsu), sound (音 ne) and future (ミク miku), thus meaning "the first sound from the future", referring to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series."

This app is pretty good, but I thought it was going to be only Miku wallpapers. To my surprise, there are alot of wallpapers from a wide range of anime. My problems are you can't search for or save a wallpaper, and since there are so many its hard to find the one you like if you changed it and want to change it back. You also can't make one wallpaper uour home screen and another your lock screen. Your jome abd lock screen have to be the same one or one has to be a default from your phone.
Edit: 2021 NO LONGER WORKS.............. some tips. yes it has ads. let the ads open completely before closing it. if you cancel too fast it wont process your request. some drawbacks i noticed 1)when using bluetooth wireless headphones connected to 2 devices. it wont switch to second device while you have the home screen open. almost as if it thinks the video is playing audio too. 2) while changing screens. the video aspect radio changes for just a few frames. noticeable when locking screen.
I really wish there was a way to set our own gifs/files as the wallpaper. Don't get me wrong, there's an excellent variety built-in, but man the customization would be amazing if we could use any animated gif we want from our own files. Please make this an option! I really do love this app otherwise. 💙
I'm giving this app 3 stars because it was a great idea and a lot of people will love it but I think more people would love it if you made it a constant live wallpaper that instead of it being a slide show of short films in a constant loop, it's one long film in a constant loop, if you can pull that off this app would definitely be a 5 star app
It looks really good, one problem was when I tried to open it there was an ad in the way of the set wallpaper screen but other then that, it 100% works and I would recommend to any vocaloid fans like me -edit, I found out how to get rid of the ad blocking your way, just turn the ipad or phone the other way.
works great, may use your battery a little, but not a lot at all, transitions are a bit strange, and Miku sometimes also looks a little strange and animation looks pretty linear at times. but overall great app, would def recommend try it out.
It would be nice if you could save a wallpaper without having to scroll down to get it, And every time the app closes it removes the wallpaper, other than that the app is great and the wallpapers are amazing. I would love to see some Zero Two wallpapers.
Since the latest update I have a Problem, when I go to my gallery and select "chosen Video" it doesn't change it. Is it because of the files size, length or different? Otherwise the App is cool I'd give 5 Stars but that bug/ feature annoys me because before I was able to you "chosen Video" and it worked just fine. Yours truly Tankcreeper
I love it! Its real cute as a live wallpaper. I would love to have more options or the ability to make some adjustments to when moving or scrolling around my phone. Still an amazing cute Live wallpaper.
If you haven't updated the original app, don't. They added loud, intrusive ads, and the wallpaper cannot be used in landscape mode any more. No longer worth it.
Excellent ! Not for me unforts. But exactly as described and and way cooler than i expected. Hatsune is very animated and surprising and the details are undeniable. Really awesome. Feels almost like a game rather than a wallpaper!
I wish you can interact with miku, and she will move around like a normal person, and she can do things she wants to do(not inappropriate), and u can change her outfit, and she would be awake or sleeping depending on the time of day, but other than that it's a great app!
I set this as my wallpaper for both home and lock screen. It was cool, but after a day or 2, it went to default. It did not go to my one before setting it as my home and lockscreen wallpaper. If you can keep setting it back when it goes to default and also like Anime, I reccomend this app.
I rate it 4/5 because I was super excited I was going to set wallpaper but it didn't let me because an ad pop up near "Set wallpaper" so please fix it
The first review is just pure salt and ignorance, this app is great it literally says its one live wallpaper the fact this is free is even more amazing the developer deserves credit, thanks for this wallpaper, works great and of course it will eat some battery but looks great, stop being r/choosingbeggers apreciate the fact that this is a great wallpaper for free
I downloaded this twice and was disapointed because i tapped on set wallpaper and it sent me to an add i was fine with that but then twice the app shut down and im done with it if this gets fixed i will try again if not goodbye. yours truly That_dumbass
Cookienah is retarded this app is great (You cant 1 star an app for doing what its supposed to do also it says wallpaper meaning 1 not wallpapers) the animation is smooth and the effects are perfect I would highly recommend this app for anyone.
its a good wallpaper but i miss that you could swipe on your device to look around the room, i think there should've been a manual way to turn it on and off. but still great wallpaper
It is okay but you know this app would be the best app ever if you upgraded the quality of the wallpaper because it very low so please raise the quality then I can contact the president about this app you will become an internet sensation!
I love anime. Im known as an otaku, some things could be fixed though for example she moves too fast for me to enjoy her cuteness. If you could fix that it would be great but thats my only complaint
It's a decent app, just wish there was an option to put it as my lockscreen as well or save it to a "my wallpapers" page. Other than that it's a good app.
The app itself is fine, but after a while there is a black screen. I don't know if it's my phone or the app (this is for the other live wallpapers not the Hatsune Miku one).
The image is too wide and the way it transitions is stupid. I preferred the old way it looked when it was all one image where Miku just teleports around.
App is overall OK, but I downloaded it to find a hatsune miku wallpaper. Most of the animes I either don't know about or are just drawings. Don't download if your only looking for miku
It's so flipping adorable, but could you make it to where she actually stays in one place for more than 3 seconds? That would be amazing.
This is the best Miku wallpaper I could find and you guys did a great job on it too! The only downside is I wish you could add a setting that allows you to see the whole room or just the way it is now. I'm a big hatsune Miku fan and I and satisfied. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Its great when it works. But the video breaks rendomly causing a black background. :(
I like a lot of the wallpapers available and the ads are tolerable but I've already encountered a few bugs. One is the picture will randomly go black and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix it. I think switching wallpapers to quickly is what causes it. Two. Instead of tapping on "set wallpaper" to set it, just viewing it switches my wallpaper. This is a little annoying and I can't seem to fix it. Three. The wallpapers "shrink" when I view or apply them. I want them to look normal.
