Hawaii Traffic Cams

HI Traffic Cams lets you view the traffic cameras on the Island of Oahu. You can add cameras to a favorites list for a quick glance at traffic conditions. You can also view road closures for all the Hawaiian Islands. Stay out of traffic by looking at traffic incidents and notices in the incidents view. This pulls in tweets using the #hitraffic hashtag.

This app does not and will never deliver annoying ads. It will also always be free. And don't worry, there are also no annoying "will you rate me" popups.

When it worked it was great. Unfortunately, images are NEVER displayed now, making the app basically useless. Developer has been notified along with screencaps and has done nothing to fix the problem choosing to blame the City instead. Fact is other apps show the camera images so it is NOT the City causing the issue but the developer.

"when" it works, it's great, a lot of the time it seems like they intentionally black out the cameras when there's an accident or vehicle fire. Um, Hello...we want to see how bad the traffic is so we can decide whether or not the traffic is manageable enough to get on the freeway!

As of 04/16/2022 Hawaii Traffic Cams is working perfectly. All available traffic cameras mirror what is available on the City and County of Honolulu Traffic Camera website and their own Google Play application titled GoAkamai. Hawaii Traffic Cams pack a better interface and is more user friendly and customizable vs GoAkamai in my experience. Both provide the same information in a different delivery package.

Highly recommended app! Shows cameras by map location, traffic, and roads closures. All we need now is to check cameras blocked by traffic lights or looking at the ground (in Mililani). Great app tho.
