Have deleted this app. It used to work fine but now no alerts no matter what the alert settings are. I have tried different alert settings even another phone. Only way to view alerts is by going into the app. Don't bother with this app if you rely on alerts.
Really bad app doesnt give alerts, go to alerts in app and you can see them but they are never shown in phones alert bar. Waste of timw app have unistalled.
Since the latest release rhe app had been incredibly buggy, shutting down constantly and not opening or working.
This app is all well and good, but when I receive a alert I have no idea where to look for it. For all the effort of creating a hazard warning app it is long over due a upgrade. Some input from users would be a good start do we can all understand the system and we can locate alerts more easily.
Keeps giving false or unwanted alarms. The user interface is not very intuitive and a lack of thought out design is evident. While this would usually give an average rating, these issues reoccur with subsequent releases and as the app is meant to provide emergency alerts, I can only describe it as a total failure.
I'm getting warnings that take me directly to the page of icons and no information about the actual warning I click on the triangle at the top of my phone and go to the page showing an icon for each disaster. I've taken a screenshot. I'm not sure how to share but I'll try. I'm elderly. Criss your fingers.
Why do they always waste time with pointless notifications? I get 2 or 3 alerts a day telling me it's going to rain. Not interested in my phone making endless pointless alerts. So the App is sadly deleted. I want an App notifies for emergencies. If I want the weather forecast. I'll look at a weather App. Like endless safety cones for road works that are long finished and so the pointless warning is ignored. This App also is another boy that cries wolve and is also now ignored. Sad really.
Getting 10+ push notifications this morning after a quake (and counting) is the kind of thing that makes me want to uninstall this pretty useful app. Every notification is just a duplicate. In a real emergency, you'd be putting people at risk of draining their phone battery
The app used to work fine. However, it won't run at all now - it just presents an error message "Unfortunately Hazards has stopped." I've deleted the app cache; force stopped the app; rebooted my phone and; uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No joy. Any advice?
So many duplicate alerts. Had a quake 30 mins ago and there has been a constant barrage of alerts since, all saying exactly the same thing. I know there was a quake. The house was shaking. I didn't need 100 alerts saying "there's been a quake!" to figure it out. In a real emergency this app would be wasting valuable communication channels.
Working well and very very useful. Just wish there was some way to have the default opening screen to be the alerts rather than preparation. Prep is under well under control so primary interest in the alerts.
Not working. Displays a message about downloading content but immediately errors out claiming that there is a poor internet connection. Happens on wifi and on 3G every time I try to open the app.
I cancelled the alert of High Wind Warning and High Wind Watch and even general alert, but they keep showing, it's annoying especially when I staying in the high wind city. And, raining alert not working as it should.
19 notifications for one event. A little over the top. Edit: In response to Developer reply. Cannot send screenshots as app has no alert history. Will be sure to screenshot of occurs again.
Looking forward to the coming update to remove the issue of a notification from Android being permanently present once an alert is received - can only be cleared by rebooting the phone. Would also love to see the app open at alerts instead as requested by someone else
Found it alerted of hazard in my area - the local alerts for which didn't work so well because of cell tower issue. Great for when you are heading toward a hazard.
During the Auckland tsunami warning test on 30.9.18, I received no push notification at all from the app. I have to go into the app and them the alerts tab to see it. Kind of defeats the purpose if it doesn't notify me.
This app does not work deleted and reinstalled still no notifications of severe weather this weekend total waste of time will delete. It used to send notifications now silent a waste of time downloading
Having the peace of mind and security of knowing that I can be warned of potential danger is invaluable to me and my family. Even when the notifications scare the living b&%%;*s out of me in the middle of the night. This app should be standard on all mobiles
When an alert message comes thru there is no indication as to what it relates to - a tick on the relevant alert would be helpful. There is a 1 on the Red X App but nothing indicating what is for. Jenny
I just received 36 notifications (and still counting!!) for one minor earthquake ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This app should really be in the hands of developers who understand its significance and the gravity of receiving an emergency notification.
Great app, although pretty much limited if no power or internet connectivity. Would be better if could be mirrored offline locally.
Applied the latest update. Now it does not start up anymore. Reinstall didn't help either. Something is broken, and I cannot go back to prior version that worked. I suggest to not update.
Fabulous, awesome🥰 always feeling safer & more informed with possible disasters & hazards. May not always be accurate in some areas yet the caring, sharing & fore warnings for the nation steers one towards positive, considerate & preparation for all forewarning events so what a wonderful blessing. Many thanks to the Developers who have earned a 5* rating at best🏆
Interesting app, have received notifications in the past, but now something has happened with the app where it shuts on startup and I don't get notifications anymore. I hope the app gets easier to use over time and has a holiday setting for when your not at home and want to know if you're in trouble.
