Fantastic gallery app with no bloat or unnecessary features. I was looking for a replacement for Quickpic, which went downhill very rapidly for some reason. This app so much better! I love that you can customise the colours of both the app and the icon. Plus playing GIFs in thumbnails is something I didnt even realise I needed. I really cant find any downsides. Highly recommended.
After losing HTCs own gallery when I upgraded to a HTC 10, I was looking for a gallery app similar to what I was used to. After being forced down the over fussy Google photo route I was really happy to stumble on this great app which looks and behaves very well. If you are looking for a gallery app that like the title suggests is simple and easy to use then this is for you. Does what it says and does it well. A big thumbs up to the developer, thank you
Its a great alternative to a very popular gallery app. However, I have some suggestions: 1. Allow pictures to display in their original size (not fit to screen). So if, for example, the image is 400x400 pixels, allow it to be displayed using 400x400 pixels on the screen. If the photo is 2000x2000, then please allow the app to display it at the screens resolution, even if it zooms in a little already. 2. In landscape mode, double tap doesnt zoom in. Overall, this is a great app. Thanks!

Love the app, great display, no adds! Only have two concerns: 1. Is it possible to see pictures in HD? I feel like theres other apps where my pictures look in better resolution, more detail when I zoom in, etc. 2. Is it be possible to add an option where one could transfer albums of pictures via Wi-Fi, from one phone to another, but using this same app? I know the gallery works offline, but it would be a great asset to have optional Wi-Fi transfer. I would gladly pay for this!! Thank you
Love this app! Probably the only gallery app I liked after QuickPic, and I can finally switch off QuickPic for this. Just one feature request though, the search functionality currently works only inside folders. When outside folders, the search only checks for the folder names, not for the files inside folders. For instance, when I open the app and without knowing the folder if I want to search for a string abc, I cannot do that. But QuickPic searches for that string in the file name for every folder and returns the grid of media. Would love to have the implemented here. Apart from that, Im absolutely in love with this app and it certainly is my new favorite gallery app! ?
Excellent views In Moto E 3 power there is no pre installed app like gallery and if I go through file manager I have to wait for thumbnails to appear for at least 10 minutes while having only approx 500 images (small as well as of good quality). But through this app I just opened and I found all images arranged in respective folders with previews as thumbnails and I was amazed when I opened folder containing pictures. There is so many options for showing thumbnails. Thanks for such a good app.
cropping photos to desired size, hopeless. user has little or no control. very poor, disappointed. thanks for that, heaps better. everytime I open Gallery, Sb etc they are inundated with annoying ads, and apps inviting me to instal them, coming in over what I am looking at. Have tried to stop it occuring in settings by marking as not allowed, but with negative success. I bought a new phone a few weeks ago and updated facebook shortly after that. Didnt have this problem prior. Now cant type
So far, so good! Ive been looking for a simple gallery viewer that allows me to add or remove additional folders to for a while, and amongst other features this one has it. The layout of pictures can be customised to suit the number of columns you want, and the file names of the images can also be shown on the thumbnail images, which is a small but very useful feature! Great that this is add-free, and provided its stable would gladly offer a one-off donation should a popup appear to show my support. Great job keeping the app simple yet pretty much highly featured!

Great little Gallery App. I used to use QuickPic, however its become quite a mess, in my opinion. Simple Gallery is like the name implies, simple. Its clutter free, customizable, intuitive, and quick. Exactly what most people need. I paid for the Pro Version, as I quite like the Simple Series of apps, even if I dont use many. Keep up the lovely work.
Ive been looking for a decent gallery app for my HTC 10 ever since HTC started forcing users over to the Google photos app.. side loading the old gallery was an option but the only control on the SD card was as a viewer so you could not copy/past to the SD card or edit photos once they were saved there. It was a massive pain in the backside. This is a simple app with few permissions needed. There is some basic customisation too for the UI which is a nice touch.. and most importantly no ads
After initial impressions, a great gallery app. Simple and effective, ad free. Much like my old Galaxy Note 3 stock gallery (which was great, the new Samsung stock gallery is pretty pitiful) but with many more customization options to make it feel just right. Controls for customization are also pretty easy to find and use. Only drawback is it wont use my Note 8 built in photo editor, or work with Android Beam.

In particular, trying to use Simple Gallery when using the SD Card option in the Album Art Grabber app results in it just bringing up the regular viewing gallery when you open an image rather than selecting that image to be used Edit: Didnt expect to see such a fast response! Im not sure if its limited to just that app or it would happen with other apps as well. Glad to hear youll try and fix it though Edit 2: The only issue I had with the app was fixed, and with speed that I havent seen elsewhere, thank you! Changed my rating to 5 stars :)

Very nice app to view your media such as photos and video, especially on an Android one phone where I miss the gallery option other venders offer on their phone. It also at time of this writing has no ads for now but is asking me to buy the pro version saying that this app is expiring even though I thought it is free.
I have been using QuickPic until recently and although the Google photos app is mostly ok, I need something that can be edited quickly like rotate, crop, auto-color, etc. That this Library app makes very unique. I dont usually give 5* for any app, but this is exception. Not experienced lag/bugs like other reviews, anyway I wanted a gallery app that did more than the default android but not bloated with features I would never use - this fits the bill (until something else comes along). 1 thing Id like to see is (possibly) plugins for online services like flickr, mediafire etc so I can browse media files in just the one app
I love how simple and easy to use Simple Gallery is. I love the new Recycle Bin where the app makes a separate file for the pictures or videos you want to delete ...and then you empty the file when your ready. I also love I can edit my pictures - resizing, changing color format or brightening them. THIS IS A WONDERFUL APP!! Much better than Photos.

Its okay however, the basic thing is missing. Albums are not sorted and there is no gradual / descending sort option in the Menu. Best gallery app i have ever used. The best part is the delete button nvisible at the top when the file is open. I love it. Can it extend to open nmusic files? So that i can open them and delete when i find any unwanted or nold music file while playing as in video files. If this feature is there or ngoing to be developed in the near future, then i will definitely buy. nThanks great work.
Moved over from Quickpic, no surprise there and it feels like home. Simple and intuitive, the gallery is low on resources and snappy. What I am missing is the ability to fix the date for the photos, which was present in QP. Add that and this is it, THE gallery app.
