HD Widgets

Figured out the freezing problem! The recent Android update apparently gave the phone the power to put apps to sleep without telling me about it! If you go to settings, then battery, you should be able to find a sleeping apps list; mine included this app and an alarm clock that I greatly depend on. I cleared the list and both work fine now! I have used this app for many years, and I was crushed that it had stopped working! I am happy to have it back!

It worked great for a while! Then out of nowhere everything stopped working. It stopped picking up the forecast. The clock stopped changing times. I reset my phone and uninstalled/reinstalled the app, then everyhing just went blank. I guess it just must have become incompatible with my phone, whixh is also annoying because I paid for it. But, overall it is a decent app, i guess just glitchy.

I did love this app, the widgets are so much better than the default ones. But, since upgrading to android pie (Note 8) the clock doesn't work in real time with the system clock. Still works fine on older phone (S6). The clock seems to stay on the time the app last synced or phone turned off screen. Sometimes the widget will disappear and show a loading icon and i have to delete and replace the widget. Had hoped for a bug fix, but after months of waiting I am now uninstalling the app.

Adding my own mournful review to a growing number of similar experiences... I absolutely loved this app on many different devices over the years, but it is no longer working properly. If there is a new update to correct the issues, I will definitely be back. However, it is with a heavy heart that I am switching to a replacement app. Hopefully, I can find one that even begins to approach the HD Widgets app in its days of glory! (Currently on Galaxy S9)

Clock stopped working the last month. I've been using this app for 4+ years and have paid to upgrade. The past month the clock does not keep the correct time. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. At the most it works for a day or two. Now I just dont use it because its unreliable. I'm planning to download another weather with clock app and will keep this for backup to see if this resolves itself Otherwise it used to work great and it was beautiful and functional. galaxy s9+

Love the app, but can't use it anymore. Have it on both my Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Tab S4. Worked great until the devices updated to Android Pie. Now the time doesn't change. I don't know what Android did to break it, but I am disappointed. As a side note tried to use Beautiful Widgets and the time doesn't work with it either anymore. Have to use the stock time widget. Still giving 4 stars because I have gotten so much use out of it in the past and hope they can update it to work with whatever.

I love the designs, especially the Kairo widgets. It worked for me forever, just fine, but lately the widget isn't keeping the time and weather. I can go in and refresh it by just moving it, or adjusting the size, but it doesn't do it on its own. Deleting temporarily, I will check back in the future to see if it's fixed. Note 9 with Pie.

I've used this app for years and it has been great. I recently purchased a note 10+ and for some reason (I think after an update), the clock widget does not display the correct time. As a matter of fact, it just gets stuck on one time. I've checked all my settings and made sure I have the right time zone and all, but to no avail. Would love to contact the devs about this.

This is the 6th device I've used HD Widgets/glass gems on & until about 2 months ago I would have given it 5 stars. But for some unknown reason, the time function randomly stops working. I haven't left my city, so the time shouldn't change except for DST twice a year. To be honest, it's a pain in the neck to have to remove widget & go thru entire menu over & over again. You need to get this fixed or I'm afraid I'll have to check out other options.

been using this app for years and used to be a great app now its awful. The time feature freezes, no matter how many times I reset the app (uninstall then install) it doesnt work and the time doesn't move. I sent HD Widgets an email to them to find out how to fix the problem, as I have paid for the app, but I got a auto reply stating their email address does not work, even though the email was sent via their app...would not recommend.

I experienced the same issues others have described where the time and weather were not updating after upgrading my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S10+. However, I found that the HD Widgets was included in the list of apps to automatically put to sleep in the Android system device care settings. After removing HD Widgets from this list and restarting the app, it seems to be functioning properly again.

Been using for quite a while and it's always been extremely useful. UPDATE: 8/12/19 - Phone updated to Pie last week and ever since then I've been having issues with the app. Clock doesn't update, toggle switches don't work etc. Extremely disappointing for an app I've been using for many years across at least 5 Android devices.

Used to have 3 weather providers. One was removed in the last update, the second no longer works. One provider left for weather and soon this app will be useless. Needs an update badly, because otherwise it's a fantastic app. Second edit: had to drop it to 0 stars because now the weather doesn't update automatically, I have to do it manually. So 1 provider manually.. This app used to be amazing, but it's been neglected for years. Find something more up to date.

have been using this app for years and has been great until last week. ir no longer works...time freezes on it. attempted to email developer but email address is no longer any good, it was returned as undeliverable. don't waste your time installing this app. apparently the app is no longer supported. Still works fine on my Samsung Tab 4 not no longer works at all on my Note 9.

Had this app for years with buying the full features and worked perfectly until I updated it recently and got my Samsung 9+. Now the weather nor the time toggles or updates at all. Such a disappointment as it had such great features that you can change with different backgrounds. I have restarted my phone and everything and emailed the company with no luck. Please dont waste your time with downloading.

Love this app, used it for years but having similar experience as a lot of others with it not working. It's an easy fix to go into device care and make sure it's not an app that's being put to sleep but now my phone (Note 10+) is nagging me about HD Widgets using high battery and if I run my device care it will force put it to sleep even if I've removed it from the sleeping apps list.

I've enjoyed the clock/weather widget for several years now but looks like I'm going to have to ditch it because it looks terrible on my Note 9. I've tried every setting I can think of but can't get it fixed. Tried reaching out to the company times now through email but apparently customer support is not something that they do.

Please add an option to display on the large widgets the hourly forecast with option to choose the steps (every hour, every 2 hours, etc). Also would be excellent to add additional info to the widget like real feel, wind, pressure, rain (probability & mm), UV index, ... That is the widget, it should display the current info at glance! The good example is Transparent clock & weather, but with accuweather support

Does not update the clock; big problem for a clock app. UPDATE: many users claim this can be fixed by removing it from sleeping apps list. I have no sleeping apps. It still does not work. It's irritating when Android pushing updates that give a bunch of useless features - like a new GUI - while breaking core functionality that allows a clock app to function.

Sad but it appears the software is no longer being maintained. Used to be a 5 star app --- The app was fantastic on my galaxys7 but now, since I've upgraded to the galaxy s10e, I keep getting battery drain warnings as illustrated by the screen shot I've attached. If I tap 'put to sleep' or 'fix now' on another screen, the app stops working properly

When I restart my phone and sometimes randomly, the widgets don't load. As of now they are stuck in an infinite loading loop and will not display. I always have to go and open app for the widget to refresh... Waste of time and money. Same on both my note 10+ and old phone note 8. I would be 5 stars if I didn't have to do that.

app has been making me think i have message notifications as it vibrates when the weather updates. so i thought something was wrong with my phone when turning it on and seeing no notifications. it took weeks to figure this out. not happy about this. that vibration should be a feature to enable and should be disabled by default.

The clock sometimes doesnt pop up after booting my LGV30, and when it does it typically lags behind the actual time. Im using Android 9 Pie. Please update this "APP", and if it functions correctly, I'LL give 5 Stars. (UPDATED REVIEW)- App was being put to sleep by OS, corrected the problem by making it EXEMPT, and EXCLUDED from going to sleep. Now HD Widgets works perfectly. 5 Stars!

Note to everyone having the time not updating issue! the latest update changed some.of the app settings! hold the clock widget then go into the app information! once there select mobile data, I noticed allow while data save on was not enabled, enable this, go back, select battery, this time I noticed allow background activity was not enabled! enable this and it will work fine as it has done for me!

I finally figure out the battery issue with this great HD widgets app. after I updated to Android 9, I noticed the clock wasn't being updated by default. the issue is that Allowed Background Activity has been restricted by default. what one needs to do is: go into Settings, tap on Apps, from there, you'll see a list of all the Apps, then, Search for HD widgets, once you find it, tap on it, Tap on Battery, from there, Tap on Allow Background Activity, a pop-up comes up, tap on remove. Cheers...

All in all the app is good, but lately the clock portion of the app keeps stopping. Right know the internal clock is 11:42 am, but the app clock is 9:56 am. I have to delete the widget (4:3) and reinstall it to change it. This can be very annoying. Is there a fix to this or am I deleting the app? May 26,2019 this app is at it again. The clock keeps stopping. My time is 5:38pm but the widget clock is 4:22pm. This is getting very annoying as it seems to be happening more often.

Was a 5 star review ! IVe Been using this app for Many years now, all of a sudden it will not work anymore??? All i get is a spinning circle like it's trying to reload but never does! If i delete it and replace it it goes onto home screen but will never change time or weather or anything else! Eventually it disappears and the circle starts spinning again! Fix it! Worked from s6 thru note 9!sum1 below found the problem, the update put some less used apps into sleep mode remove and i think it works
