HDD Audio Remote
HDD Audio Remote is a mobile application that allows you to operate compatible HDD AUDIO PLAYER models using your smartphone or tablet.The application allows you to operate HDD AUDIO PLAYER easily using specialized functions that are only possible in a mobile application, such as the “Full Browser” function (tablets only).
This application has the following features:
- Easy operation of HDD AUDIO PLAYER using your mobile deviceBy installing HDD Audio Remote on your smartphone or tablet, you can remotely select and play tracks, change playback volume, stop playback and more, instead of operating the HDD AUDIO PLAYER directly. You can also select music services.
- Creating and editing playlistsYou can create and edit playlists with your favorite tracks.
- Editing the music information of a trackYou can edit the details of tracks.

- Playlists can now be created easier. You can add content to a playlist while browsing or add the entire play queue to a playlist.
- Playlists can now be sorted (by Name, by Creation Date, or by No. of Tracks).
- Detailed track information can now be displayed on the playback screen. You can tap an album name or an artist name to go to the relevant list.
- During playback of one of the SensMe™ channels, its channel name can now be displayed on the playback screen.

Sony needs to give the Android version of this app some love! Seriously, on my Android phone all the icons are in some sort of superzoom mode- one can select tunes, or change just about any state with this app. The ios version of this app is great, so I don't understand why Don't has snubbed Android. I spent $1000 for my Sony HDAudio amplifier, which requires the use of an app for all the features- the little remote that comes with the HFA amplifier can only turn on/off the amplifier- and next/b
Its a good app. Except on android 11 it is forced into landscape mode and everything is so zoomed in that it makes it difficult ti use as you can only see 2 lines of text. Please fix!!!
Needs a serious up. crashes and won't power on the unit half the time unless you unplug the unit then plug it back in again. c'mon Sony, always so slow with updating your products.
Hey.... It works. If you like simple, with no email sign up and all that stuff. If you comparing it to something made in 2020 or something it won't stand up but it does what it's supposed to which is stream music remotely.
What the odd! I downloaded it for my new Sony Xperia 1 II, it can only display in landscape mode. You know how skinny the phone is ( didn't happen to my note 10+ ) it's useless.
It was working well till today. Suddenly it stopped working - can't connect to Sony hap-z1es. I deleted and installed application twice, but no success.
Hello, this software update stopped the application from connecting to the HAPZ on android tablet and made my iPhone useless as a remote control without warning. How can I roll back the software please? Nathan
Unreliable. Connecting the app to the player often hangs. And same with syncing the database.
Worked great. Then it won't open without an update. It won't update. Fix it please.

The apps can only open in landscape mode on my S21ultra. Weird. Please fix it.
The player itself is 10/10, but the app is only 8/10, too many operations require a complete halt to process

The new Notification Shade feature is excellent! This app is pretty handy but I wish this app offered a way of syncing missing album art for files on the player. Even though I have taken the time to embed hi-rez album art to all of my source files too often the accompanying art doesn't sync over to my HAP-Z1ES. There's no indication of what the limits of resolution at which the embedded art has to be.
The app crashes a lot on my device. LG V20. My phone is rock solid and runs the newest version of Android. For whatever reason this app constantly crashes. When it works it works well but I'm getting tired of how inconsistent it is.
Works well controlling my Sony equipment. Very convenient and has most of the functions I need so I don't have to look for the original remotes. Thanks Sony!
Doesn't connect to my Sony HAP Z1ES player no matter what. Shame on on Sony to have such a poor remote for such a potentially great piece of equipment
Works perfectly across multiple devices. Those of you who can't make it work: the problem is with your network discovery rules. Not with the app or the player. Debug your network user rights. But hey Sony: no app updates in a year?

The electronic identification of your music is very limited and is further restrained by Sony updates! At least give us the ability to in put the music information. I've had problems over and over from the rejection of the use of music identification. THIS IS AN ABSURDITY! BUYER BE FORE WARNED!
Can't be connected via network. Been a unsolved problem for a while.
First, the quibble; the database is less than ideal for Classical music. The galling problem is that the app disconnects from the HAP Z1ES if left inactive for even a few minutes. That necessitates restarting the app, and, occasionally, resyncing the DB. I went so far as to get an Android tablet that's running nothing else, but no joy. The music transfer function will not run in the background. Ever. It is impossible for me to stand by for from 5 to 30 mins. while the transfer is effected.
