The UI is fluid and quite intuitive, and the app gets the basics right. However, the ads can be seriously interfering while using the app. While doing fund transfers, an ad pops up at the bottom of the screen and blocks the keyboard. Due to this, it is impossible to enter the amount of transfer as there is no way to close the ad. Showing ads on the money transfer page is truly unnecessary.

First it started with an ad layer(HDFC ad!) On top of the normal windows with a close button. Kind of annoying, but still it had a close button and could close it. Now they started Ad without close button and it covers the keyboard when trying to make payment. What kind of design is this?! It makes the app unusable. What's the point in ruining an otherwise good app with your own ads? Such a shame!

After the latest update, the app is extremely slow to open any page. The UI looks neater and better, but accessing anything inside takes forever! The logo revolves for about 5-10 secs, just to access another page in there. Kindly fix ASAP! Also, if you can have the credit card info on the main page, it would be a world of ease. Thanks

Hi team, i've been using this app from past 6 years, kudos to complete development team, this is really easy to use UI and other banking apps stand no where if compared. But don't know from past 2~3 the app crashes before opening. I've tried everything reinstalling, rebooting my device, clearing cache. please fix the issue asap.

The app has a few very glaring issues. 1. I have my own account, my wife's account (joint) and my daughter's account (guardianship) with HDFC. If i attempt to do a third party transfers, this app automatically selects the amount with the highest balance instead of defaulting to my account. 2. There doesn't appear to be any way to modify the transaction limits on the app. 3. Most other banks allow you to view the credit card/debit card numbers, expiry and CVV details. This one doesn't.

Good app for banking. Credit card summary and other details are shown clearly. They can improve UI and user experience. Sometimes there will be some small glitch in UI which leads to disappointment in users. Updated: Also most of the times credit card information is not displayed in home page. We have to select cards options & then navigate to get credit card information. So it causes inconvenience sometimes. Just inconvenience in point of view of user experience!

It's good but slow. I wish it was more lighter and had more features that one can access only on the Internet banking. The team should disable the 4 digit pin. It's redundant. The app already unlocks with fingerprint and internet babking password. If one does not use the pin, they forget and its a problem during force pin change every quarter or so. You have to reset everything using debit card details.

In pixel 6, finger print scan option for hdfc app is not working as intended. When I open the app the it will show finger print scan prompt for multiple times in a sec. Then when I press the finger on prompt it's not responsive. So I need to cancel the op up and need to enter the pin manually. Please fix this issue 🙏. Other than that the app is to slow to display the landing page

As the app is improving every day in one side, on the other end the experience is going down. Intially, it was annoying to get so many personal loan calls from HDFC, but now the app also started sending too much of push notifications on top of many other annoying push messages. I have maintained a good account balance to get into premium banking, but sorry to inform except the tag in the menu noting has really improved in the last 4-5 years. Now, don't suggest me to TURN OFF the notification.

You guys disabled the app usage while debugging is enabled. I'm okay with that. But now you are launching a browser alert every time a message notification appears? Edit: I know the risks. Like I said, I'm OKAY with hdfc app not working when usb debugging is enabled. What I'm NOT okay with is hdfc randomly launching security alert page in browser WHILE IN BACKGROUND?!! Security is important but do too much of it and you won't have a usable device. Better to lock it up in a box and never use it.

Finger print authentication is not possible with in-display finger print sensors. Pop-up appears for finger print but finger print sensor is not showing in pop-up. This issue is reported and opened long ago by other users as well, but no resolution provided for such basic feature. Facing the issue on, Android version: 12 OS: funtouch os 12

I think the app covers all basic functionality needed for everyday banking but it still looks dull when compared with iMobile app. Anyways my suggestion: when I disable my credit card for a particular type of transaction, say online then the limit also gets reset when I turn it on for use. This is very frustating. Due to safety concerns, I keep my card disabled when not in use. This doesn't happen in ICICI Card manage section. So, please pass on my suggestion to IT team.

I think the net banking app of HDFC is one of the best available. Everything is easily accessible at your finger tips, navigation is easy and making and payment is also smooth. Very systematic and organized system with practical and logical process. Just the last update has one small flaw, where when i pay from the saved payments and i switch type of payment between IMPS end NEFT my entire description vanishes and i need to type it out again. Copy paste also doesn't work on this.

Why performing very simple banking transactions is so difficult on your platform. Just to view all my recent transactions I have to click so many useless options. When I sing up for the credit card offered by HDFC I had asssume that I would have to click on credit card balance and I will be able to view all the transactions. This experice gives me the impression that HDFC don't want to be transparent with it's client and want to put them into debt trap!

App is good. I just wanna point out one issue of it. That is, if we set 4 digit pin along with fingerprint access for fast login to the app and if we close the app without hitting logout option then afterwards if we try to login then 4 digit pin option and fingerprint option is not at all coming. We have to login by entering usernam and password again. Also app shows some message like please try after sometime like that. Please resolve it team if you can. Thank you.

The new partial redesign is acceptable but the old UI was better in my opinion. Nevertheless it's fine, but the constant bombardment of pre-approved offers is so annoying that you sometimes think whether it's worth to continue with the bank. Other than that, all other features are good.

Does not let me do anything. It keeps popping up with a "Phone State Permission" Required, Not sure what that is. You might want to think about sending a user understandable message. Asks for permission to read my SMS for setting up a login pin. Not sure why the app needs this, I can type in the OTP myself when prompted. I am not comfortable providing permission to read my SMS to any third party.

PATHETIC! I've just open an account open and was trying to setup the account. This dumb app keeps crashing. I tried with an older version of this app and for some reason, it doesn't let me do anything. KI DLY ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AND IMPROVE! Update : As you said, I've tried that already. Still the app crashes. I turned of dev options completely and still it crashes. Looks like you need to update the app.

[Update 06-03-2022]: The app has stopped working after the latest update. It keeps crashing when I try to launch it and redirects me to the browser version. Please fix this. [13-07-2020]: Please get rid of the ridiculous amount of in-app ads, it is really ruining the HDFC Bank app experience. I feel that the older app was much better as it was completely ad-free.

The fingerprint authentication doesn't work on starting the app. I've to first cancel it, type a wrong PIN.. then the fingerprint authentication pops up correctly. Is this how India's top bank's app supposed to work? I'm not even getting started about UI and features. That's an essay for another time. Also, I got a reply from HDFC bank. Asking me to take a screenshot of the fingerprint authentication, exactly when screenshot is disabled. It speaks volumes abt their caliber. Just hopeless guys.

Hi team, Seems latest update has made things worse again, the BHIM UPI is not usable anymore, again! It keeps showing "technical problem". After so long you got app to work on Android 11, and when finally it started working reliably, its broken again with latest update. Also the current check for "USB debugging" is too aggressive, it is not an indication of a vulnerable environment. Please work out with your tech team, and instead spend time on detecting threats in app's process.

I have been working in cyber security domain from many years and seems you have very poor security team who suggested this idea that usb debugging is a security threat. To exploit this some one need to have physical access to your device and should be rooted device and also unlocked. Also not sure what some one can do with that. Poor Security team needs to understand some basics first

I have been using the app for quite some time now. With the latest update (11th March 2022), the app won't open if usb debugging is on. I am an Android developer by profession and I test the apps I work on in my device. For that reason, Usb debugging has been enabled in my device for as long as I remember. So everytime I need to access the app, I have to disable the USB debugging. This need to toggle the debugging mode again and again is the only reason for the low rating. Otherwise good app👍

This is for HDFC bank. Guys you are running bank not an advertising agency and your app looks like spam/junk app today. I can see a car loan pop up everywhere I travel inside app and some times it is not even closing. Please dont do it. It seems like click advertisment and earn money. The more ads you click the more money gets credited to your account. This looks Annoying.

Can't use after last update. I need USB debugging on. Who told you to force this. I don't use the app when connecting the phone to any device via USB. It's foolish to force. Tell developers. But why should I keep it off. I need to close my account with HDFC just because I can't use the app. USB debugging is more important to me than another bank. There are multiple banks out there having no problem. I can use them. I was a premium customer but I'll close if this issue isn't fixed in few days

Most of the things are good except one or two. In this App, scheduling a payment perfectly is very difficult, but can be done in Laptop/Desktop easily. Moreover the App itself fixes the date, while if we want to reschedule it, we have to delete the App fixed date and............ etc. A lot of problems. So if you read my feedback and get time, do revert a call. Then I will really explain it. Best Wishes to Team HDFC.

Only HDFC fails to recognize fingerprints and gives user very less attempts and not even allow password option also to login if fingerprint fails. Very Poor. And now it don't show how much time after that we need to retry in order to login again. It just says sometime and I tried after 5 mts. Still not allowing me. Horrible UI too. Must see Axis or other bank UI's and use it.
