HDR Max - Photo Editor

I was a little skeptical about this app at first but it exceeds my expectations. Whenever I use it my Facebook and Instagram followers are blown away by the images. Six stars...No, Seven! In the past week or so it takes forever for the app to load. Even after it does finally load, it quits in the middle of doing an edit. I am uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that fixes the problem.

Able to take great pics to the next level. It's not photoshop, and there's a LOT it doesn't do that I would like it to... but for a FREE app, this is the best one I've found and the 5 stars is with the consideration of it not costing a penny. Ads are minimal and not invasive. A must for anyone wanting to greatly enhance their phone's pictures without breaking the bank for only occasional touch-ups.

So far I've only used the HDR function, and I love that it doesn't use the weird and cheap x/y algorithm for local contrast like many other apps, but one thing I'm missing is the ability to change the halo size around edges. I feel the "glow" function, which seems like just a contrast increase, could be replaced with a radius instead. Otherwise seems like a great app.

Best HDR App. Of course it's not true HDR, it's an app. Duh! Took my car show pics to the next level. Used to be a purist but cannot compete in today's world without amping up the pics a few notches. I take solid pics anyway and this app makes it look pro. I use HDR, then apply a filter. And I cannot believe all the options they have for filters. Do wish glow feature gave more of a glamour shot but I use another app for that. And best of all, it's free.

Not HDR Camera App, just effects that you apply on photos. Not a camera app at all since it is actually using my phone's camera app to capture images that you get to edit afterwards in "HDR Max". The so called "HDR" of this camera is just applying some effects on the image to make it look like it was captured using HDR. (For those that do not know exactly how HDR photos are made, on short it relies on the camera making several photos fast one after another with different exposure settings)

I really enjoy the filters in this app and it's amazing they are offered for free. I would buy it if they had a one-time purchase vs. subscription option but overall this is great.

It worked great at first but now the Pic it opens is a blank screen. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled to see if that would help and it didn't. Really like this app before it decided to stop working.

Although, with my initial usage it seemed to have much of the same ole, same ole of pocket photoshop knock offs, I realized that the tools included were a bit more than what they at first appeared. Firstly I found this app adds much more control over the finer details than many of its competitors. The effects it adds are subtlety beautiful and add a stunning pop to my photos. I am new to photography and am only using my phone, but I find this app a lot of fun!

This is my all time favorite photo app ever! I've tried a lot of different editor apps and this is by far the best. It doesn't leave any weird lines or bluriness on my photos like most apps do after editing. I can edit and re-edit away and my photos are always left crystal clear but with way more color, pop and quality.

HDR max app is like getting a new camphone with Pro camera quality ! The clarity, definition, light, focus & sharpness my photos have is great ! Glady paid to remove the ads. LIKE the ability to shoot within app with 1 tap HDR after. Works best in good daylight.

The name of this app is misleading. This cannot build a real HDR image from multiple photos from the gallery nor take multiple exposures and blend them. It just applies a "filter" to a single picture, hence it can't change the dynamic range of an image.

Just reviewing to ask why people are trying to combine multiple pics into one. That a high end feature built INTO the AI of most smartphones... It's something that requires burst capture of multiple images of the SAME EXACT image within milliseconds of each other. also that's NOT really what HDR is. It's about the dark being realistic but visible and the brights too.

App stinks to high heaven. This is one of those "cloud based" deals where your photo is sent from your phone to an internet server where the editing is done, then it downloads to your phone when you save it. If you have no internet (say, in the woods, on vacation in the mountains, on an airplane, etc) it simply doesn't work, won't start, and is useless.

This is a great photo editing app, it does much more than HDR, I'm very impressed. There arent many ads, I've only seen them on exiting the app, I would have given it 5 stars if some of the ads didn't have music, which I find annoying.

Lots of advertisements pop up, even when my phone is locked. And it saves the pictures in original versions ignoring all of the changes. Could have been a nice app since it has very nice filters and features but DOES NOT WORK!

Modifiying my original review since updates. 6-3-2020. Files do not open correctly when you tap the listed pictures nothing happens and you need to go into file manager sort pictures and find the latest picture you want to update. Otherwise it works as it did previously for editing.

It works right away with a click of one button. Only issue is it works 100% with/in the right lighting. You can adjust the hd settings though to tweak it. This photo editor is much more than just the hd function as well.

It's not actually an hdr app. True hdr involves taking multiple exposures and combining them into one photo with better lighting data. This app simply applies filters that are commonly used on hdr images by hdr photographers. You can verify this by opening any photo that has only one exposure from your default camera app and applying the "hdr" filter that the app offers. Real hdr photos do not become noisy under any amount of reasonable editing, and cannot come from one exposure.

Really great app nice and easy to use. However I am worn out with every piece of software going with subscription fees pecking away at your bank account. I'd rather pay $15 and be done vs a long list of apps that hang on like ticks.

takes a bit of practice learning all the functions it has, but well worth the effort. small tweaks make good photographs great. just needs the option of buying an ad free version. ads aren't that bad, but program is good enough to buy.

I take a ton of photos with my cheap >$100 android phone. The most frustrating thing is the picture quality. This app has a lot of useful features and I love the HDR quality. I currently uss this and BeFunky for my photo editing.

Great app, it really makes the picture pop off the screen with the most amazing colors and layers and layers of thingys and artsy fartsy kind of stuff that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but when I am done, BAM! That picture is fantastic.

As far as the features are concerned, the controls were are decent. with a rudimentary photo editing knowledge, it's a good app. What I have an issue with is some of the filters, there is no intensity dial control.

Doesnt appear to have an option to combine bracketed pictures into an HDR photo. Just increases the contrast of a single photo as far as I can tell. Can use any editor to do that.

I've used this app about a dozen times and for the pictures that you really want to print in your Digital Collection this is an invaluable tool where you can give a subtle realistic-looking Improvement to most photos especially up close portraits

I love the app, the built in filters and the great range of filtering tools. The thing I miss is the possibility to choose the target folder to save the outputs - eg. on my SD card! Is this possible?

Im using this always to edit pictures. The outcome was professional. Its easy to use and manage. This is far the best than instagram filters and any social media photo editing apps. I guarantee.👌

it's a quick colour grading, contrast detail enhancer and other effect app... hdr you cant merge multi photos but all the same it is well worth it doing a very good job of quickly upping the quality of phone photos.

So far, so wonderful. I just began using it in 2 phones. It's as good, if not better than my 2 Glitching apps. Your app helps me do work I must finish meeting deadlines.
