It's definitely a good app, however, there is some work to be done. The main problem for me is (tested with Huawei mate 20 lite so far) the fact, that after calibrating headphones (FiiO F5) it works fine for a few days, then it just wont produce the same sound. Restoring settings from back up makes it only worse - so the only way around is actually deleting the preset and re-doing. I know my phone has crappy audio so its a challenge, but this was the main reason to purchase the app.
I love the app but it needs a bit more work. I wish I could give it 5 stars. I am using the app on a Huawei P20 pro and sony MDR 10RBT. It doesn't always start automaricly, it is not responsive when i make adjustments and when i use the amplifier volume there is an unpleasant screech sound. The good staff is that when it works, it transforms the headphones in a super power house, you feel all tue instruments and there are few handy adjustments to tailor the sound to your liking.
I really enjoy this app. Being a musician, sound quality is something I'm very picky about when it comes to my headphones. It's very easy for some of these apps to make even the highest of quality earbuds sound very mid-range biased. This app does not. It gives you a good blend and full range of sound for everyone's preference. It doesn't stop and shut down in the middle of the song. Nor does it flood your screen with disruptive adds.I now download this app on all of my Android devices!
Played around with the paid version for a while trying all aspects of the app, thought the sound was pretty good at first. Turned it off and listened to the music through my Motorola Plus Bluetooth headphones and it actually sounds a LOT better than with the app. Also tried it with headphones plugged in, same difference. Conclusion is that the music sounds a helluva lot better without the app. I've tried many of these apps and they flatten the sound rather than improve it.
I wanted a graphic equaliser to control the Amazon music app that sounds lifeless and flat. This does the job brilliantly. Amazon music now sounds great, detailed open, nice bass and lovely sound stage. Recommend this app to improve the sound of your wireless headphones, wired headphones. You can do a direct comparison by simply hitting the on or off in the equaliser app. Totally transformed my listening experience. I have the paid version so I can save my setting.
i am saving giving this app the fifth star for some minor tweaks to the audio engine... while it does maximize the sound quite nicely, i still find myself choosing to run neutralizer whenever i don't need a volume boost... this app is close in quality of equalization, but comes up just shy, mainly due to the muddy sounding low end, which is the end of the audio frequency range that i am often most interested in maximizing its fullness and clarity... anyway, with some clearing up of the sub and bass ranges of sound, i will happily give you all five stars...
Brilliant! Just made my new AKG Y500 Bluetooth headphones sound even better - they were already sounding pretty good, but I found (as i had read) that they have a bit of a dip in the vocal range. Love the way this app calibrates your headphones' sound (make sure you turn the sound up to do this). Instantly improved the sound balance and added warmth. I have now bought the premium version. Great work with this app, keep it up!
Bought the premium version as I thought it would allow more granular control over frequency bands, but it's still just a 5-band EQ. I get that a lot of the issues with this app are Android's fault, not the app's, but I still wouldn't recommend this for anyone who wants fine control over their EQ settings
This application is not improving the sound just makes it worse. I tried it with high sound quality headphones and with cheap headphones also. In both cases the sound is becoming much worse when the "calibrated" equalizer is on. I bought the premium version just in case of having better sound quality but nothing changes. You can test it but don't buy it even if is 2€. It has a nice menu easy to use and as an idea is great! But what it gives is very bad sound.
I like what the app does to my music but i don't like what the app does to Google Play Music on my phone. GPM's interface slows down to a near useless level when this app is running so that browsing my music in any way takes forever. It's a good music enhancer for sure but it's no good to me. And, of course, I didn't notice this before I paid for the premium. grr
Great app. Minimalist. No fancy lights or bells and whistles to bog it down. Virtually no input lag allowing for on-the-fly sound adjustments. Only thing missing would be a volume slider.
this is an outstanding equalizer, it makes my really cheap earbuds sound awesome. it also has a volume booster so the sound is louder but you can modisy the eauializer sonits nit a bombardment of sound. my only gripe is it sometimes turns off on its own and you have to go turn it off and on again for the full effect. other than that this is probably the best equalizer on the market.
I've tried every equaliser going and this is the best. Beautifully balanced. Having tried so many, I didn't expect anything different from the others. But I was blown away. No exaggeration. Edit. No matter what settings are used in the app or on the phone, it keeps closing down on Huawei phones
This app is absolutely perfect for when the minimum volume on your headphones or speaker is too loud. Or when you just want to boost bass. Easy to use too!
If you start your music then realize the equalizer is off, and turn it on, it starts a different song. Also, weird compression through my wireless headphones only when this is on. Goes away when I turn it off. That may just be an issue working with my phones, but the first issue I mentioned was enough to uninstall.
Excellent! The audio analysis is a great help and then you can retouch for your audition perception and for your taste. Also, the option for saving many ear-, headphones is very convenient. It improved a lot some of supposedly "humble" quality earphones or headphones. Thanks!
Can't get any volume. I bought the premium version and none of the volume boost or base or surround or any of the extra features I paid for are functional. I am quite upset. What a waste of money.
Only equalizer app that actually works! I have tried many on a variety of devices from older to newer generations of kindle fire 7&8 in . lg phones, galaxy 9+, rca notebook & more. Works with or without headphones and outside music players. Affects ALL audio output on my devices thus far. THANK YOU!
After a long time a real tech stuff to tune up your listening experience. Does the job almost perfectly. It enhances the listening experience. This is useful only if you have a low end headphones, Eg. Redmi Airdots. All high and headphones come tuned for best experience. Most of the mid and high range cellphones have their headphones tuned. This app is totally unnecessary if you have such phones or headphones.
I am a believer! Until you have sat down in a quiet place, put some JBL's in your ear, listening to your favs in lossless quality and played with the controls in this app, then you really don't know what it is like to FEEL the music. Sold me in 5 minutes.. Uninstalling all other eq's in my phone. You owe it to yourself to escape once and a while.
Read some of the negative reviews and quite frankly I can't understand all the negativity. I have a paid subscription for Spotify and the output using this app is fabulous. The menu is easy to navigate and the quality of the Equaliser is far better than previous ones I have used. By the way way, I got the paid version within minutes of testing the free version.
okay I just started using this app I'm very impressed so far I love all the different options mid-range, softener, surround sound etc. first one that I've come across like this and I've been trying to find one that will work with my bluetooth earbuds the neck type and Bluetooth speakers and non Bluetooth speakers haven't tried the non Bluetooth yet. Thank you so much!! 😁
HiFi compatible! Most EQ apps you hear a noticeable drop in quality, but this app was engineered very well. This is clearly a labor of love project from someone who cares about audio enthusiasts. Free version is amazing, but pitch in if you can.
The app is perfect for headphones! Great control and the adjustments actually do what they are supposed to. It's user friendly and anyone should be able to use it with no problems. The interface is in wanting as it is boring and drab gray. It could use more options in the pre sets for those of us that are not complete novice. It's still having the connectivity issues and is a lot worse in the beta version. I hope this is being addressed quickly. Thanks for a great app!
