I was using this app since 2017 on Lollipop, and now on 8.0 Oreo and its still working perfectly fine.I never ever could accept these heads-up notifications,i dont see any reason how could it be useful. If im doing something on my phone,i can see that i received a notification,i dont need the system to push it into my face covering half of my screen, especially when im tapping the upper half of the screen and then a heads-up comes in then i accidentally click on it.It not only changes app and i have to switch back to the app that i was using, but also clears that notification which i dont want because i kinda use my noti bar as a to-do list. In an active texting, just boom boom boom messages coming in,heads-up popping, you literally cant do anything without distraction! How is this any good? Why cant i set it up?Im so mad since 2015 when they introduced it.. All i need is the so called ticker text, its superior,i can see what i received, but in a non-intrusive way.AFAIK this is the only app which can restore ticker, not perfectly on Oreo, there is a slight overlap(i dont care),i dont understand why doesnt it have much bigger attention, play store doesnt even list on search results.THANKS JAWOMO

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Disables pop-up notifications on Android Lollipop and will display them only in the notification bar.

It no longer works, which I suppose isn't surprising, given its age and lack of support.

I just bought a new samsungJ5 today and the whatsapp message popup super annoying & gives me less privacy as it shows the message content.been choosing "no pop up" on my hp&whsp setting but nothing happen..i decided to install this app and my problem solved .thank you!

Love the ticker functionality this app restores, but wish there was a way to limit the number of lines to display or roll through them faster (long notifications like emails end up blocking the notification bar for too long). Really needs DND/Quiet Hours and/or Tasker integration.

With the new lollipop version of android, you cant watch a video or play a game without being interrupted by an annoying pop up from message. Either that or completely disable notifications ( no sound no status bar, nothing) this app fixes that :)

DOA on Marshmallow (6.0.1) on my Nexus 5. I so wanted this app to work. It didn't. Joined the community to gain access to the beta (2.51, instead of the default 2.50). That did not help. Tried checking and unchecking every checkbox in app's Settings. That didn't work either. Tried setting app to "No Peeking" in phone Settings/Sound/Notifications, that stopped the pop-up notifications but also stopped ALL text from appearing, defeating the ticker feature. Unfortunately, this app needs more work in order to function properly in Marshmallow. Sure hope they can fix it! I would love to restore the classic Android ticker.

I am using this app on a Motorola Moto X running lolipop. It says it blocks every app except the phone. The priority message from Motorola to upgrade to marshmallow still appears several times a day. The reality is that my phone call notification screen i.e. caller ID is blocked. I get a black screen when someone calls. If you want to select what apps are blocked, you have to pay. Why pay when the free version doesn't work as advertised? Will uninstall, Too bad it sounded good.

This makes Android useful again. When using my phone I would often accidentally tap a notification because it would be covering a UI element, now I can glance at the ticker and ignore or act accordingly. Google should consider upgrading Android with this superior functionality as standard XD

*Update 02 - Okay, after some tooling around I found if you disable "peeking" for Heads Off under Settings/Sound and Notifications/App Notifications/Heads Off, the app will work under Marshmallow on a Nexus 5 at least. That little tidbit should have been added to the Google Play App screen for Heads Off because it's no where to be found in the app itself. I spent far too much time trying to figure out how to get the app to work. 4* instead of 5* because that information would have saved a lot of annoyances if only it were explained by the developer. ORIGINAL REVIEW - YEEEEEEESSS! Thank you thank you 1000x thank you. I absolutely f#%king hate the notification system in Android 5.0. Whoever thought that clumsy, annoying mess is an improvement over the old system should be fired. PLEASE support this app as long as possible because as long as Google uses the putrid current system, I will always support your app instead. Highly recommended. 5*. I'd give 10* if possible.

Used to stop all heads up bubbles, but now seems to work about 50% of the time. Very annoying, obviously.

Har. T. May 21, 2016

Earlier it was working but now after updating it is not even though after going through all the instructions. What is the use of such crap then. Total waste.... Fix it for Samsung note 3 so that I can give 5 stars

Ben. Apr 5, 2016

When I play a game, heads up still pop up and its very annoying. Last time it worked on my Samsung Note 3. But now its not working on my Samsung Note 5.

Rai. A. Mar 17, 2018

It's an ok app, but sometimes it's stopping itself and doesn't automatically start again. so I have to manually start it in order to make it work. if you could automate the heads up everytime I turn on/restart my phone, that'd be great. thank u .

Lee. D. Dec 2, 2015

Works fine so far. Sad that an app like this even has to exist in the first place -_-

Ima. T. Oct 28, 2015

Now the app turns itself off every night, always need to turn it on manually every day.

Jor. F. Feb 10, 2018

Edit: celebrated too soon. Doesn't seem to work. Still get the heads up display. It only works sometimes. Will check with dev and get back. /edit. Thank you! Thank you! My note 4 was forced in the lollipop update and the forced heads up notifications bugged me so much! This makes it so much better.

Pab. V. Nov 21, 2015

Used to work perfectly, after update just works for group chats, I've tried everything to make it work on Note 4 use to give it 5 stars, now only 2 since it doesn't work anymore. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** I was starting to really hate my phone, which I love and after a whole day looking for answers on how to get rid of those annoying notifications, I found this app! Thank you so much!

Tho. R. Mar 20, 2017

Just got it and still trying to stop my What's App popups but still get the notification icon. Probably just configuration issues on my part.

The. C. Nov 7, 2017

It used to work on my note 3 and now i got an A5(2017) and i don't know if it's the phone or the app just stopped working in general but it is not doing anything now.. so i will have to uninstall it and hope to find a another alternative :(

This app doesn't seem to affect Facebook notifications at all. For the notifications it does affect, it doesn't do it reliably as it keeps losing registration as a notification handler.
