The page to choose how much and what way to get reimbursed is always buggy and requires recreating the expense. Then after it goes through the second time, two duplicates of the expense report is created. Certain providers are never saved even after I create them multiple times. Pressing my phone's back button exits and logs me out of the app instead of taking me to the previous page. Uploading pdfs as a document never works as it just loads forever. Overall a user nightmare.
Terrible. Completely freezes when trying to view expenses, and when trying to bypass that by going straight to 'reimburse me', expenses only save about 50% of the time. Not to mention the horrible UX and weirdly long loading times for such a small app. Coming to this from Wageworks, which has its own issues, I cannot WAIT for the companies to merge.
I've honestly never seen an app this terrible. It crashes constantly, usually in the middle of trying to submit a reimbursement request. The provider list is just a repetitive list of recipients and actual providers don't even get stored, causing you to have to re-add them every time.
It's surprising how financial institution's app could be so full of bugs, inconsistencies and poor design? App functionality is different from options you can find on website, for example reimbursement, it's not intuitively easy to operate with and shows errors or unnecessary execution delays anytime I open tabs inside it! Surprisingly awful
Update 4/30/22: App is still absolute garbage. If i didn't know better I'd think it was intentionally bad to dissuade users from using it. Original review: App constantly crashes so I can't submit claims. Also the UI is horrible. Whose idea was it to make selecting dates of birth only available scrolling rather than manually entering the date. Who doesn't enjoy scrolling through hundreds of months to enter dates of birth from the 80s and 90s?
Typical American healthcare system quality. I use this app to keep my receipts for all my health expenses and the app can barely do it. I pay them monthly for investment stuff that I don't need them to help me with and I can't even upload simple receipts without the app freezing, hanging up not uploading anything. This seems like such an easy thing to make but they don't do it very well in this app. This is not user friendly it needs a lot of work
The app constantly freezes and becomes unresponsive. It's organized poorly and makes it difficult to find relevant information and take care of expenses. Completely useless and frustrating!
This app is AWFUL!! It is constantly freezing, everytime I am trying to go between options it freezes, I have to shut it down and restart it. What a pain! Something needs to be fixed here.
This app hasn't worked properly the past 4 or so years I've used it. Each menu selection takes about 20 - 30 seconds to process during which the program freezes. It crashes about 25% of the time while frozen. They've updated the aesthetics of the app a few times, but the performance has not improved one bit. Testing done on multiple android devices over the years. Trash app, don't bother. Use the desktop or call in.
I just downloaded this for the first time to see if I could access my FSA card. I was skeptical since the first reviews I saw were about the app loading slow or not working, but I'm not having many issues. The tabs load quickly, with the exception of "Expenses". I've clicked on it twice & the app froze each time. I had to close it & reopen it for the app to work again. I don't foresee me using that tab often, so not a big deal right now
Confusing and poor design. Navigation bar hard to use. Missing expenses for 7 months. There are a few good things about this app, but the bad dwarf the good.
One star is one star too many. App crashes so frequently it is next to impossible to actually check my account. App info versus emailed inquiries seldom match up. Not to worry though, the website version is almost just as terrible.
the updated layout is nice, but the app essentially doesn't work. it's only good for viewing your balances. everytime i try to attach a document to a card transaction the app either freezes, hangs, slows down extremely and finally it crashes. The potential is there but the App developer needs to have this app optimized. i tried this on both my Note 8 and my Note 20 Ultra with exceptional connectivity and even on Wifi. You guys need to hire a new app developer or have your existing development team do this app over and test it on actual devices. it is so Laaaagy. also while you guys are at it, please give this app the ability to be transfered to the SD card. in the meantime it's best i just use an actual computer to conduct any transaction in the Health Equity account. Weak!
I really do want to use this app but the negative reviews are truthful. Just installed, tried to make a payment twice, app froze up both times and wouldn't let me pay. I'm going back to the web site. Small print but it works much better.
Really struggling with this app freezing. Just installed it simply for convenience of uploading receipt photos to a reimbursement request but it is not proving to be worth it. Hope this gets better over time. - Android user.
I'm the past hour I have received 20+ notifications about the same charge. I've checked the app multiple times, but nothing inside seems to change, yet the notifications keep coming.
Crashes on every trade. Freezes all the time. The only reason I have it because I need to look up my account and investment. Otherwise I would only look thru mint. Can your IOS developer take a look at the android app and provide the same level of polish?

Completely useless. Freezes up whenever opened. I don't have this issue with any other app, so it's not my phone or internet connection.
App is hot, flaming garbage. If you manage to get logged in without receiving an error message (rare) or crashing, none of the account information will update automatically. So then if you or the app tries to refresh account information (like current balance), the app just gets stuck with a loading circle and eventually crashes or times-out.
USELESS APP locks up and must be forced closed after doing ANYTHING. Add a new provider, locks up. Force close the app. Reopen the app. Authenticate again. Add document to an expense. Lock up. Force close. Repeat. Ridiculous and entirely unhelpful. Please fix, thx.
Does everything except what I want. If a transaction is declined, I have no idea why. If a transaction occurs and is denied, it shows no history of transactions. I get no info on any locking of my account should a supposedly "fraudulent" transaction occur, support requires a phone call instead of having a FAQ list, and I'm just generally miffed. Card got locked and I've been battling over it for over a week. Please improve this app to give the user more info about their transactions.
Great when it works. Tried last week and today and just circles the drain and does not respond. Issues uploading documents. Would always have to call customer service. They could not figure out why I was having issues either. Now I just wait for documentation requests. They need to fix this. Ridiculous.
Worst FSA app I have ever used. Can never upload receipts, other receipts I know I've uploaded don't show up linked to transactions or disappear, and each page freezes.
What a joke of an app. You are dealing with millions of dollars and cant even produce a functional app? Everytime I try to trade investments with money it just shows the logo then crashes. Everytime. You literally cant do much of anything on this app. I wish my employer would use fidelity or even Prudential. But no, I am stuck using this garbage. Just do us all a favor, remove the app so we all just need to use the browser version.
I've "tried" to use this app for several years mostly meeting with frustration. I'm sure I've lost a lot of time fighting with this app to accomplish my end goal. They've updated it several times and I think maybe once it worked beautifully and made me smile. The rest of the time it's just frustrating and not good to work with. I have to trouble with the mobile version both on my phone and tablet. Very frustrating.
