For some reason the app came preloaded with a bunch of previous measurements from some mystery person. It's a huge pain to have to go through and delete them one by one. Edit: Found the delete all button, it's in the settings page, not the measurements page. Don't understand why this is even an issue.
1. If you see "UUID Error" flash once on the scale when trying to sync data, go to your Bluetooth phone settings, and tell your mobile to forget the scale entry. Go to the app and re-add the scale. Try syncing data again. Eventually, it will work. 2. If you have more than one device with this app for yourself, only use one to connect to the scale. Once it provides the data to one device, it will say "no data" when you sync with others. 3. This app is really clunky. IOS version is a tad better.
I am a personal trainer and fitness coach at a gym where we use the Tanita RD-545 Ironman scale. The scale works great but not this app!! The app has a lot of problems connecting to the scale. Many clients can never connect the app to the scale. We have contacted customer service and they are no help!!! They tell us there is nothing they can do to help. So frustrating!!!
Used with Ironman RD-545IM scale (one of the top prosumer Tanita scales). Has issues: 1. Can't connect with other apps like Polar Flow and MyFitnessPal. 2. Graphs use yellow line, difficult to see on white. 3. Graphs don't seem to show most recent measurements 4. Graphs -- hard to change calendar scale and slide through past measurements. (tried PC app but that didn't work at all).
Piece of junk. Can't get it to sync with my RD-901 rendering it virtually useless. The iPhones in our house have no problems. The Android phones are SOL. UPDATE: I still can't get this POS app to pair with my RD-901. The app navigation is horrible too. An example: To pick your birthday you have to tap an arrow key, month by month, until you get to your year and month. Last time I buy a Tanita scale.
Terrible app and site for a great scale. The worst app I've ever seen. If you replace you phone, you'll lose your history and personal settings and have to repair, losing all settings in the scales. The charts are useless. I can't tell when the sync works.
What wrong when oooo stays lit when weighing and it doesn't go away? No info in the manual and tech support doesn't answer the phone (RD-953). Physique Rating gets cut off. My rating is: Very (the rest is missing) - Samsung Galaxy S10+ user / O/S: Android 10, One UI: 2.1 / Healthy Edge Mobile v. 2.2.1
It would be nice to just have the ANT+ option because alot of new phones and tablets have the ANT+ built in. It would be nice to have the same software you download to your pc in a app form. This would be extremely beneficial
It paired with my device the first time, and hasn't been able to since. You could make a better graph and table with Excel in 5 minutes. Tanita should be embarrassed.
Terrible. Difficulty connecting and staying connected. Interface simple, behind other apps. Sad bc scale nice. But knowing what I know now, probably bought different scale 😔
Able to Bluetooth synch my Rd-965 scale on my pixel 3 running Android 9. Once I upgraded to Android version 10, Bluetooth synch no longer works. Developers, folks expect your scales to work with their phones. Get busy!
I love the scale but I do not like this app. The healthy edge app is way behind the curve of competition. Also does not sync with Google Fit or MyFitnessPal.
App makes the expensive Ironman Scale useless. Buyer's remorse. Must now return the Tanita scale because of this App. It NEVER worked with my Android version 7 (up to date). Less than zero stars.
Scale just won't connect to the app, cannot delete it from the bluetooth devices as it's never connected.
When it pairs the app shows TNT_PAIR but it does not see the scale and everytime I try it the app keeps crashing and but I want it fixed
App tells you what you need to know - just wish there was an easily avaliable manual to decode your data.
Hot garbage Able to connect and query the device for new measurements Unable to connect and actually take a new measurement
Worst and least intuitive app I have ever witnessed.
Can't manually input measurements.
App not syncing with scale
terrible absolutely terrible...does not work...
It just doesn't work. Expensive, sad.
Don't bother is a pain
I use an ANT+ Scale (BC 1000) and have ANT+ on my phone. Yet, appears I need a Wifi Adapter ($125) to connect and automatically upload my data via this app? Aside from being terribly designed (and filled with useless dummy data by default?), it's also not very functional. Embarrassing that your company would release something like this. Tanita should offer software that matches the quality of their hardware. Maybe also hire a graphic designer and a strong copy writer. I'm definitely moving away from this company as fast as possible.
Too ugly and the graphs are horrible and imoossible to edit. When you change your phone you lose all history. Website is not better.
Needs a total rewrite. Should be able to export data in standard formats. Doesn't always sync with scale. Occasional crashes.
Not the most intuitive but if you read directions it works just fine. I set up both my wife and my own and it works and records measurements every time we tried. The app does come pre-loaded with measurements. It says it right in the directions and there's an option in settings to clear out all measurements before you start. As for the app, it does need a lot of work. The graphs aren't very capable. The measurements are fine but they cut off text so some aren't readable.
