Heart Rate Monitor (Instant)

Take your Heart Rate simply with the flash on your phone and your camera! This app uses the same technology used in hospitals EVERYDAY! Each time your heart pumps blood it changes the red wavelength color values that your phone's camera receives. This is the same mechanism used in pulse oximetry to determine oxygen saturation in blood.
Includes an Automatic and Manual method to calculate pulse in Beats Per Minute!

If you find an issue or something that has been overlooked please email developers so it can be fixed! Device must have a flash to work, Android 4.0 or above Recommended, faster phones work better, tested on Samsung GS4.

If you're on Android 2.3 or below, check out the manual method! Very user friendly and very accurate!!

It does what it says and works fine. It would be great to see some settings or something other than just one screen, but it works.

This app does more advertising of other products than I have ever seen. It does not recognize my pulse and continuously asks me if I'm human. I'm order to get out of the asp I have to go to mmHg task manager as it does not simply allow me to back out. Instead it offers a multitude of other apps to download that need to be purchased. The only reason I have it a star is to have the opportunity to spread the word. Horrible waste of time.

Was accurate and working (although UI / flow was terrible), now doesn't work at all (in not even human now, lol), but UI is much better.

Took ten readings in a row. Only 2 of 10 were even close to my actual pulse. Maybe it's the s4.

After 5 attempts managed to get just 2 readings, both were way out. I then tried Instant Heart Rate by Azumio which works accurately everytime.

Using an s3. Manual method gives pulse of 42 on average. Camera method anywhere between 120 and 170
