Very accurate! I'm really surprised! Tested pulse several times with app and manually to see if it matched and it did every time! I even stood up a few times to increase my pulse rate and again the app was accurate and got the same result when counting my pulse manually! Don't know how it does it but it does! If it's not accurate for someone else maybe it's their phone or they're not doing it right!
Seems to work very well & accurately as gives expected figures. Only problem is that holding one's index finger over the flash led causes it to become painfully hot very rapidly, so i think the resulting stress of this would be likely to affect the result, but it does seem to come up with an accurate reading by the time one's finger has become too painful. Think it would be a good idea in a future update if the app could tell the user as soon as a reliable reading has been obtained. Brent.
Simple, easy to use interface! Was previously using it on S10, perfect and accurate reading using the sensor; love it, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, purchased no ads :) I have now switched to S21 that has no sensor, and the readings using camera are inconsistent :( 8 times out of 10, reading fails. The rest of the time, it's super low (30-40 range) or super high (160+), so I have to spend 15mins taking readings over and over for accuracy. Trying each camera lens individually also inconsistent, never same reliability.
It's a bit of a weird concept, the way this thing works. It take a bit of fiddling around with, but it works. The app seems to work within a reasonable range of accuracy, with the semi-frequent and obviously inaccurate measurement. The truth is that one should be able to atleast check a pulse by hand/finger, so it's a fun curiosity app to play with. A handy feature is that it records your measurements and reminds you at whatever time intervals you set it, for regularly. Stand by for Ch. two.
I have used this app for 7 months, and find it very reliable and accurate. Once in awhile, very rarely, you get an odd reading but you just delete it quickly and redo it and all is well. I can't blame the app for the odd reading. It's usually the way you have your finger on the screen. I also like the way that it keeps a history if your readings to show the doctor, if needed.
Generally ok, but its super annoying that it does not give you the option to save a scan if it cannot read a heartbeat. I have an arrythmia and that seems to stump the app. Even though its getting good readings, it cant figure out my heart rate so it just dumps all that data. Well, I WANT TO KEEP THOSE SCANS! It would be super useful to have those records to show my doc. Also, when it can capture heart rate, it doesnt display them on the graph by date, it just displays them sequentially.
Retried: erratic. 3 or 4 'no reading,' the a few that were accurate to palpation, 99 and 101, then 44 bpm. No Result. Note 9. Does not turn on flash. Am I doing it wrong? PVD apps replied. I tried again and this time, without ipdate or adjustment, the red LED did turn on and it functions as advertized. I do not know why it didn't work 6 weeks ago, but it does now. 🌻
Pretty great, does what I need it to do, marvelous settings for importing and exporting HR. One thing that would make it better is just a longer graphical history to see fluctuations for longer peroids of time immediately. Yes I realize you can just calculate them yourself but that's the whole reason for getting an app is autopiloting and just being able to look at entire months in a glance of a second. 5 star nonetheless.
Very easy to use. Ads are not "in your face". However you need to be able to hold your finger pressure steady to complete a reading, this is not the apps fault, just saying! Being able to include a note is very useful. History format, very good.
More accurate and better at sensing your heartbeat than other similar apps. It takes a bit of practice to get a replicable reading, but the way the app shows you the signal being picked up by the camera really helps make sure you're in the right position for an accurate measurement.
Measures pulse accurately and shows a very accurate graph of what's going on. I am missing a pulse from time to time and it shows that but it also shows something happening prior to the missing pulse which I will show my cardiologist. The reason I did not give five stars is because of the export function. You can export the measurement as a CVS file but you cannot export the graph the data is not there. You pay for the export function but I would not do it. Bottom line it's a very good app
Downloaded to my phone because I found it via Wear OS. Decided to try the on phone measure just out of curiosity. Maybe due to my phone model/setup, but holding my finger over the flash to get a reading actually burned. I didn't get a good reading either, but that may have been from finding it difficult to hold my finger on long enough though.
Works really well, easy to use, fast and accurate. Though with my flashlight turning on i have received mild burning feeling, but that is probably just my phone. I have had heart issues for years and constantly checking manually. This makes it easier and more convenient so i do not have to carry around a book for my doctor. Thank you for making this. Though i do have a question: the yellow, green, red bar. What is it and how does it measure? I'm assuming it shows that it is high or good.
Cannot get a reading at all with Google Pixel 6 Pro. I suspect the problem is that the flash led is too far from the camera, thus insufficient lighting at the point of measurement.
Does this app read palpitations? Irregular heart rhythms? I can see the graph, sometimes, but it will not complete. Took off my otter box and still it will not full ready. update. Turns out I have afib. It shows it, but doesnt know what to do with it. Works fine for the wife though.
It can be really inconsistent at times. I don't know why this app can't do simple averaging. It can be completely consistent for the first 30 seconds or 60 seconds of heartbeats, but then the last heartbeat can completely throw it off and it might change from 120 to 80 or to 130 or 150 or something just based on the last beat. It's really frustrating because my IOS app that I use does not do this. And in response to your reply, I am not moving when this happens. I am standing still.
This is what apps should be like. Does exactly what it is supposed to do simply, effectively and reliably. So easy to use and keeps a record making it simple to see if there's any changes. Unlike many others the ads are not intrusive or excessive and I'm more than happy to put up with them if it means I get apps of this quality for free.
