Worst banking app of any of my financial services. Clunky, outdated, crashes regularly, annoying ads for their auto financing that combined with a pop up keyboard make it impossible to see what you're typing.... The list goes on. Did anyone even QA this before release? This would have been a good app in 2005, not so much for current day and makes working with Heartland a hassle.
This app needs to be dumbed down. You have way too much information crammed into it! When consumers use an app like this for finances, they only need to check balances, transfer funds and do Mobil deposit. It's horrible to navigate through and takes too many steps just to get to my accounts. Please fix this!
Like many other users I experience difficulty using mobile deposit. After contacting Heartland and alerting them to the problem then reinstalling the app several months later it appears to finally be working. Other aspects of the app work well- checking balances, etc.
This app is awful. I love the bank but it's no good when you can't do simple things like transfer money or even just checking your balance is difficult. The thing I dislike the most is that the mobile deposit doesn't work, the camera is upside down and backwards. I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. Again I love the bank but really disappointed with the app.
Every time I do a mobile deposit it crashes, been doing it for over a year. What a waste, and they don't even care. Is ok, my new CU's mobile app works fine. I just transferred my loans, good by Heartland. Maybe someday you'll join this century...

Kind of a crappy app. Mobile banking function launches the website? Why use the app then? Also, why should I have to put up with ads on the app screens? It looks crappy also and takes away valuable screen space. I wanted to deposit a check. Seems stupid that I have to wait for the Credit Union to call me when they already have my login credentials. Very amateurish.
I tried using this a while ago, and just gave it another chance. It still crashes when trying to mobile deposit.

It incorrectly focuses, so the pictures are always blurry. And it fails to deposit. No, it's not a hand shake or lighting problem, the stock camera app can take the pic just fine. The rest of the app is okay, it kind of gets the job done, but the screens are awfully formated and its hard to navigate. Also, the developers email doesn't exist… thats ridiculous. UPDATE 12/19: I fooled myself into hoping this latest update would bring any real changes or fixes...it's been 1 yr since an update…nothing's changed.
So, I've given it over a year for the growing pains to be worked out, and nothing has changed. The Snoopwall notifications still come up on every launch. The app itself is still clumsy and unintuitive and the remote deposit is still not integrated and is a horrific mess in and of itself. I love Heartland. Been with them for 15 years. Will continue to be with them... Hate the app.
Hello, for those that are having problems will the security notifications popping up in Snoop Wall just go to the top left corner press the tab. Then scroll down till you see the mobile security settings and unlike the desired switches. Hope this can resolve you're problem.

The background picture loads but nothing ever happens.
Not very user friendly. Wish it would just show the balances instead of having to click multiple tabs to go to my account.
[Edit: for some reason before i log in i get an accessibility severity security notification from snoopwall. Please disable this, I do not want this in my notification window.] Awesome! Please add the ability for mobile deposit and this app will get a stellar review. A lot better than using the mobile website.

A great way to check your balance
Built in Snoopdog security warnings when typing anything. Not user friendly. To many clicks to get anywhere useful.
Just un-installed after getting repeated notifications that had nothing to do with my banking and no obvious way to turn off such notifications
I've bad no problems in using this app.
Current version crashes every time I try to start the app.
