Here it is 1/31/2022 and the card reader still doesn't work and hasn't in the past month on my Samsung GalaxyS9. I've called the tech support and they fixed it once and now it doesn't work again since the update. I loaded the app on a Motorola phone and it works fine. It also works on an I phone. I have to plug in the info manually on the app when I take a card, glad that part works. I got an email about an update. They haven't even got back with me since the last time I reported this problem.
Great when it works, a disaster when the cars reader needs to update...wants to update when you need it to perform, then the card reader gets hung up, and isn't readily recognized by my phone. Linking via my Android and Bluetooth is a waste of time, connects, disconnects, then doesn't connect again unless I instruct my phone to forget the reader....just like in Edge of Tomorrow... Connect... disconnect....repeat...(Live, Die, Repeat.) Except you don't benefit from the knowledge of the prior.
Card processing stopped completing after app upgrade on device running Android 11. Still works on phone with Android 10. March 31 app update bug. Called support & was told to use device with older Android. Every card is seen as a commercial card(when it is not)& I amyou have to shut app down after error message & go back to sales history to see if it completed then manually force a receipt. When calling CS they said there was not an update recently, but there was on 3-31 per play store.
App and reader are garbage. Transactions take anywhere from a few seconds to minutes, when it works. It will ask for your password or update the reader in the middle of a transaction. Will decline charges until the phone is restarted. The reader will lock up with all the light colors blinking until reset with a paperclip.
Crashes often, getting very frustrating. Sometimes I have to log in, wait about 2 minutes, while it acts like it's updating. Then completely exit the app & restart the app and then it works ... most of the time.
App is too slow when it works. Have to log in constantly. We will be switching all of our accounts to Beyond as many already have. One more note credit card changes are to high. Stupid big companies.
This app., has been trial and error! I'm frustrated that I don't have the functions that I had when using my Mobyle card slider, such as editing tips! Customer service wasn't a lie to help me deal or compensate to do this transaction. I'm having to go the long way around this or calling my clients to make the transaction Right! Jules
We have had yet another update on the heartland app and 5, 10 15, 20, and 25% are options. This needs to be more customizable per location. The 5% option is killing my drivers avg tip. This isn't 1975 when 5% tip was ok.
Works well but major glitch with tips. Other button doesn't pull up keyboard. I have to hit no tip for it to pop up.
Can't even use the card reader has to be entered automatically and that defeats the purpose of the readers all together FAILLLL
For business with multiple users this app is not user friendly, as an admin it will not let you adjust enough settings, I am currently looking elsewhere for my app needs.
Never works. Logs me out constantly. Issues connecting to reader if the app does work.
So far this app is very useful and easy to use very convenient to send invoices via text and email
I have to delete app and reinstall at least once a month to have it where it will send emails to customers.
Horrible to have a 5% tip option and no way to customize your own percentages. Should be ashamed.
Was working fine and now crashes with every payment. Can't even provide my customers with a receipt
Since the latest update tax is no longer automatically calculated on me or older versions on Android.
In the tip section of the roundest to the nearest Dollar needs to be fixed also your new setup is unsatisfactory
Updates continue to make this app more stable and quick.
Absolutely terrible, I can't sign it. I deleted the app, will not use it.
I have to say that this is the best version of Heartland apps.
Illegal State Exception? I was told its an android issue. Beware!

Great when it works, like all of the other reviews suggest. After 6 years as Director of IT & Marketing, I assumed it was just user error (like most things are) but nope. Don't have time to wait on a support line to tell me to disconnect/reconnect 1,000x (already tried) so back to the Square we go.
