Really good gameplay, however it is impossible to 'shoot the moon' in level 13 when you only get 2 high cards and the rest are extremely low. At least allow swapping before the game starts!
All things considered a decent free Hearts app. Nice look and I like the cumulative aspect of earning $ and levels over time. W/o that I'd use another app. Problems: 1. No setting for auto playing cards that don't matter, as in when all point cards have played, you still have to drudge thru every trick until the bitter end. 2. Too easy to shoot moon. Com throws out high hearts way too early. Even in high levels. 3. Stats don't make a lot of sense to me. 4. Of course the ads
The app has very good UI, as well as I love the fact that we can play the game in portrait and landscape mode (a feature rare in games these days). The graphics quality is good. But, I'm interested if the app developers can add a 'Play with Friends' option in the game as this game can be much better than the ones which have this option. Also, sometimes or nearly rarely the game gets stuck for a minute second and then becomes ok, which is weird.
Graphics: Wow (5 stars). Game engine: Good, if a bit unnatural (4 stars). Options: Good with adjustable game speed, background, player name and avatar, but difficulty level is not adjustable (4 stars). Full screen ads between every single hand with no in-app purchase to remove ads (-3). The constant ad bombardment is sickening and destroys any chance of enjoying the game. Uninstalled.
Pretty good graphics and innovative/mostly good character choices. There are no video ads preceding each round due to playing offline & that's great for everyone that gets annoyed by these interruptions. It's always challenging. I just wish that the IT developers had made an option to clear all the remaining tricks if a player is going to take the remaining heart tricks due to holding higher cards than the other 3 players at the virtual table.
Started well....months ago...played 1000's of hands....over 1billion points...the ads were "a necessary evil" (or so I thought) for a descent card game...then they got so invasive that I literally was unable to opt out of one...even when restarting the app numerous times. At some point your actual LIFE time is more important than bad software, regardless how cheap the distraction. Today, don't waste your time with THIS app. Ad (or is it greed?) crazy developers/owners. Bye-bye. Deleted.
Awesome game very very addictive love it just one little problem can you fix the leaderboard and achievements please not working thank you 😀 💙👍
This is an awesome app. I was going to delete it after I tried it out for a few days because I was having an issue with it; I can't remember what it was but I'm so glad I didn't end up deleting it. Today I realized the settings to update the apps on my phone was set to Wi-Fi only, which can only happen every so often. So I'm having a blast with it now. Better graphics, better interface and it's offline! Works for me
Multiple difficulty levels, choice of Shoot the Moon and Jack of Diamonds mechanics, and big cards are nice; BUT, now they play an ad after EVERY HAND. Depending on how quickly you play, that could be 20+ ads an hour! This game used to be fun, but non-stop ads - which occasionally even interrupt the hand! - is too much.
Very realistic play. Moon shots are easier as the computer does not do well playing sacrificial, defensive hands. There are times where you can tell the computer is setting you up from the other three players, but that keeps the game interesting.
The visuals is great and nice to look at but opponents AI is terrible. It's too easy to moonshot once you learn how AI "thinks" which takes out all the fun. There's no multilayer, so you're left with dumb AI opponents gaining new level after each game, inevitably winning it.
Nice options and sounds. Unfortunately you can't play with a friend and when you know what card to play you're not allowed to choose it before your turn but also can't even tap it a lot as it becomes your turn because then the game ignores the taps so you have to input a pause.
The game is designed well, with great graphics and point rewards. i wish they would program a few more seconds in before breaking to commercials between rounds, so you could actually see what the round yielded.
Like the fast play. Game seems very fair based on how people would respond to plays. However, do not care for building points to move to another level. Have to start game as a beginner.
Almost there! Bug finally sorted on latest update..BUT this one to sort if you have the Jack of Diamonds you are loosing the bonus when someone shoots the moon, this should not happen according to the rules. Great (was, I have discovered a bug.. Further update, so it seems Shoot the moon does not work (player or comp player) if you also get the Jack of Diamonds, tried with both the jack as plus or minus setting. Hope this helps! Still not fixed on latest updates Dec 19
You get 2clubs far too often 75 per-cent even before you start. If the bots can see you are about to win. It will Shoot the moon. If you get the Queen of Spades. You are guaranteed to get the 13 points no matter how many other spades you have. Also each game one of the bots. Different one each time seems to get a ridiculous low score which you can't beat. Didnt any one test this game before putting it out.???
I enjoy any Hearts game because of the challenges of thinking hard on your next move to avoid getting the queen of spades and/or hearts. I really like this particular game over others because of the graphics and the scord card. One of my best games to pass the time while sitting in the car in the parking lot waiting on my wife to finish shopping in Kohl's, Walmart, Boscovs, and Giant Foods.
Plays OK, slow, but ADS! I understand monetization, but the frequency of ads is sort of absurd. Full screen interruptions, and often - four times before I got through my first game, which I never finished - uninstalled.
Simple to play no interfering ads points earned as you go - very good. Just one thing - can't come out of it without losing whole sequence of games in progress - back to a new start..
It's fun, but would like it better if each round was scored with how many points were taken in that round. Also when game is complete, you can't go back to see your results.
I was so excited when I found the compute game Hearts in playstore. My excitement was short when I learn that there is a 30sec ad after each round. How pathetic is that? A 10 min game can't be completed in 2 hours because of this f.... ads. I see in the other reviews, almost everyone is complaining about the ads after each round. Surely they can do something to play ads in the game, but after each round for 30sec, makes this the worst game on playstore. You want to play, not watching ads!!!!!!
Good game but wish it was just the game and not collect tokens or other challenges.
a lot less ads that you can easily skip. although it does allow the queen to be played on the first turn which is an incorrect rule. beware!
Scoring is more clear than other games. Rules are much more versatile than other Hearts and several different skill levels. A very very good heart game and advertisement are not a problem. Worth the download.
I see my last critical review was deleted. The AI does indeed 'cheat'. This past game I took a trick, but it let another AI player led the first card of the next trick... Also, when you get close to winning the game, the AI gangs up together and forces one of its players to reach 100 pts before you get your chance to win. There's other deviousness... 04-18-19: update.... I like your March '19 upgrade! Now I can re iew past tricks played. Time will tell...
The "advanced AI" here very clearly makes its decisions based on the cards in your hand, which it should not know. Great graphics and smooth gameplay, but an "AI" that knows more than it should and one that will prioritize giving YOU the Q-Spades over any other opponent (they won't shed it when they can if your cards make it clear they can give it to you later) makes the game an incredibly frustrating experience. Also, ads that interrupt your hand.
