This app was originally developed as an entry to the 2010 CIO/G6 "Apps for the Army" competition, and it is based on the modules publicly available online from the U.S. Defense Language Institute.

This is definitely my favorite Hebrew learning app I've used to date, not kidding. Fortunately I also have the et Cepher Lexicon, which is also very helpful. I never try to learn anything from just one source, and this app is my main one.

Awesome application, practical and easy to use. It has words and expressions for various life situations, including military terms. This recent update added lots of stuff...Cant't wait to see their next move: pictures, items around the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, livingroom or work related terms.
Kind of hilarious as to how much military terms are included, compared to how many cooking and gardening terms. Guess it's written by a soldier. However, the ap is easy to use, and a great reference tool, especially for the slowed down pronunciation. Would love it if there was a quiz at the end of each section.

Easy to use with decent audio. -1 star for some words having wrong translations. Also was looking for this app in iOS version for my iPhone... Is one available?

Works well for its purpose. Probably wont get updates, but a few ui improvements would be very helpful.
it can be useful but the yud shows up as an appostrophe instead of yud like 'אול instead of אולי
The layout comes across as antisemitic. very military oriented

I enjoy using this app, clear and articulate pronounciation and a slow feature that is truly helpful. I can't imagine where there would be a situation where I would use the military commands, but that is interesting as well. SANFORD MILLER
