My main complaint is the recording- there are a myriad of errors. Everything functioned properly for two days after installation- detecting movement, sending a notification, and recording for the specified amount of time. After that, it would show the list of recordings, but not allow the videos to be played. Formatted SD card, same issue. Now I get motion notifications, but when trying to view anything, it simply says "No SD card".

Totally frustrated! 1. Setup was royally a cluster F.. 2. Documentation sucks. 3. Cloud recording costs a fee. 4. Program crashes randomly on Galaxy phone. 5. Camera battery dies overnight when connected to Heim solar panel and its the least bit cloudy. 6. The record to SD card feature only worked for a few weeks; doesn't continually overwrite files on rotation. 7. Didn't recognize new 128GB SD. 8. App won't reboot cam, won't dislay memory available after formatting. The list goes on...

Never had issues with app until right now! Why am I constantly receiving "session timed out" when I'm not in the app very long at all? I'm trying to look at my devices but I can't look at all because I have to log back in the entire time? What's going on!? Have not had any issues for over 2yrs until today!

Rubbish...App dosnt notify you when the door bell is pressed, dosnt run in the background properly on your phone it was fine when purchased but since upgrade it it a waste of space. You have to actually open the app then it notifys you who rang your bell 2 days ago !!! NEEDS SORTING ASAP

Settings are basic. It would be nice if you added settings like changing the brightness, contrast, etc. Imagine quality isn't the best, needs to be more vivid. Please update the firmware so this is possible.

My video doorbell I could see where he's at my door I can record it it says motion sensor and lets me know who's there before and after the leaving If somebody walks by as motion sensor and it picks up on what they're saying to cuz it has a voice sensor 2 and it recorded if you want to. It keeps all the motion sensor and voice sensor stored in the app until it's erased, until you look through it and go through everything. It's really great camera doorbells have with this app

Worked well at first. Only records if you manually record it. For that, video viewer has to open but does not open anymore. Takes forever for video to "process" before being able to see anything when it does open. Good luck having video load when you want or need it. If it takes too long, you get an error. Good luck seeing anything in real time if there is an emergency. Need a severe update to update video faster. Oh if you get a new gateway, good luck getting it to connect.

I love this brand. I got a doorbell, and four solar security cameras installed and they all work perfectly. The only thing I don't like is that there is not a cancel unlimited cloud storage button if I choose to not use the service.

Terrible! I get the camera connected then it goes right back offline. Have tried several times and I'm so frustrated. Nothing is working. I have it connected to the 2.4 internet connection and still not working. Update Sept 2021: Both cameras will not connect. The app keeps closing down saying there is a problem. I'm so frustrated. I now have 2 cameras that are paper weights! When they worked, they were pretty decent. But now I can't get them connected. I don't know what is going on.

I bought the Heimvision doorbell camera to install using existing wiring. Installation was very easy. I opted for the three full day recording to the cloud at $6.67 CAD/month. The app has been a little buggy with not loading the camera video once or twice, and having trouble navigating recorded history. It doesn't happen often, and the doorbell still records to the cloud full-time. All in all, the quality is great and the app is easy to navigate. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Easy to configure and connect the wireless cameras with the app. Video quality is good. Can view in SD or HD. The WiFi connection isn't great but my router is old and signal is passing though external solid walls. Night vision is good, but sometimes I don't get a notification when it records video. During the day works well. I was impressed with the first camera, so I bought another the day after. Occasionally the app saves screenshots of movements of one camera upsidedown, but not a big deal.

My first doorbell/camera was the RING 3. Nothing but problems with it. So I did some research and thought the Heimlife would be a good option. Boy, was I wrong. I have had so many problems with this unit. It is constantly going offline. Then I have to go through the whole install procedure to get the unit to work, only for it to go offline again. Very frustrating. I have two WiFi extenders so the signal is strong at the doorbell. I get a message saying that the network has poor performance.

This is still really new for me,but the set up was easy.It has great night vision capabilities...with sound. But,for some reason-it lost reception to my wifi today,it did reconnect later. I am not sure if it receives notifications while I am away from my network yet. The only 'downfall' is it does not alert you unless you "schedule" it too. I would prefer it to automatically notify me if someone is at my door,and record it,not just when I "schedule " it! Still,nice for the price ..SD is GREAT!

When I first put the doorbell outside it worked well. It then lost signal and I had to reset it. I had to do this 3 times. I've now moved the bell and bought a signal booster. I am now hoping this will work properly. Apart from this issue it works well. It has a good range and the camera is brilliant even at night. The microphone and speakers pick up sound from a good distance.

I have three of the cameras plus the doorbell. I get some notifications but not all. The continuously lose connection. At one point I set it right next to the router and it still lost connection so it its not my wifi. I hate that all of their cameras can not be used on one single app. If you have the indoor monitors you need a second app to control them. All of the cameras worked great when I first got them but now they hardly ever work, also no off button

Using this with the Heimlife doorbell. The app is Ok but if you have it running in background it sometimes makes notification sounds for no reason. If you don't have it running in background it sometimes doesn't notify you of bell going off. App on opening sometimes gives you a historic ring from earlier in the day. Also when opening app it should go straight to live view but you have to click again to get there. Some of the options are not clear as to what they mean.

Been using 2 of these cameras outside for a little over a year and only problem I have with them is the night vision is blurry and when zooming in on something it also gets blurry. Other than that they work ok. They are both hooked up to a solar panel to keep charged and it stays charged. Never a problem. I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania and our weather doesn't seem to bother them.

Motion sensing is terrible, does not record. Motion notification come very late when they do work. Also no motion detection area control, not that it matters if it doesn't work in the first place. App is annoying with pop up questions. sometimes kicking me out of watching the video to leave a review... I wish I could use other apps with this camera. (would get other camera in the first place if I did this again)

This stupid app has an issue it keeps showing an alert message I can't get rid of that says "the resident message service has been..." Then cuts off there. I don't know what that message means, clicking it just opens the app. There is no way to get rid of the message from always showing up at the top of my phone without disabling it from informing me when someone's at the door. This is terrible design because now when I look at my phone it looks like there's always a doorbell alert.

Great video quality, even with infrared. Super fast to set up. It finds the wi-fi signal immediately and doesn't drop off. Beats my Ring and Reolink outdoor cameras hands down. Cell phone app is user frienly with many features. Hopefully, it will be supported. I have 25+ years experience in setting up and specifying big $ corporate security systems as a Security Director. And I highly recommend this inexpensive camera for home use.

App drives me nuts. Motion detection menu changes.. Just had a full feature set, including zone settings, but as soon as I enabled motion detection it now only shows very very basic options. Rather than 1 to 10 motion sensitivity suddenly there's only high, low. No zone setting lots of options just vanish. Network is 100‰ strength but half the time fails to connect. Really bad...

Like the cameras and the app. Nice feature with the intercom function. Based on the value of the system, I would highly recommend them. The camera sensitivity is a bit touchy and I get a lot of false notifications. Seems wind, leaves, spider webs and snow will set it off repeatedly.

It would be a 5 star, but there's a few issues that are keeping me from rating it a 5 star. I don't see where you can change the time on the camera from 24 hour mode to 12-hour mode, also the sensitivity for motion detection only has a high and a low setting. I don't see any place where you can change the notification sound. Quite often it says poor network, I thought it might be router to far away so I strung an ethernet cable and router all the way out by my camera, still says it :-(

PLEASE add in a feature to skip to the next/previous video when in full screen mode! It is really annoying to have to go back to normal view and fiddle with the timeline to view other videos. Otherwise this app works as intended. It's just that one missing feature that really ruins the usability!

Camera disconnects from router every week or so . . Many others have complained about this . . Why should I have to climb up a ladder and restart the camera to reconnect it, when they could easily rewrite the software to poll the router every few minutes if for whatever reason the wifi goes down, someone drives by with an interfering transmitter, or any of a multitude of reasons wifi loses connection. . If my phone can do it, if my tv can do it, if alexa can do it, so can Heimlifeless do it.

Video is excellent, app is easy to navigate, set-up was quick. Great bit of kit for the money. I was experiencing connectivity issues initially, but this was my own fault I I didnt reset the camera on initial set up. Also wasn't getting notifications to my samsung without going into the app, but changing the app's notification settings in 'settings' on the phone sorted that. No subscription is brilliant, SD card works perfect and no need for subscription.

In my last review I said intercom, I disabled access to that so it of course says authorization required. When I meant to say TWO WAY conversation and sound in general. I don't want any sound nor do I want to converse through the camera. I have no need to hear my neighbors conversation 2 blocks away! I have no way to turn off the sound which reverberates in a terrible way and lowering it to zero does nothing! No way of accessing many other features that show up in the manual and on videos.
