This app is required to interact with Hello Custom Message cup, designed and manufactured by Whirley-DrinkWorks! It is not designed to communicate with any other product.

Quickly adjust message content , font, direction, speed and brightness. ( Your mobile device must have Bluetooth tuned on in order for the app to communicate with the cup.)
***Important Note Regarding Bluetooth***
While Bluetooth must be turned on, you will not be able to pair your Hello Cup with your phone via the phone's Bluetooth settings. The Hello Cup App communicates with the Hello Cup only when you send a message, and then immediately disconnects, so a persistent Bluetooth connection is not maintained.
Please also note that Android Bluetooth Low Energy API requires Location services in order to perform the scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. We are committed to your privacy and do not retain location data or utilize location data for any other purpose.

App doesn't connect, unnecessary permissions. Asks for location, which it doesn't need. Tried with Samsung J2 (Android vers. 8.1.0), S8 ('droid vers. 9), ZTE Axon M (vers. 7.1.2) and despite enabling location (who are they selling our data to?) didn't connect on any device, despite being visible in the Bluetooth settings screen. Lid on cup is trash/broken as well. So it barely even works as a cup. Cool idea, just not well executed.
This cup is trash! You can't connect to it even following the instructions I got from their "support" email. You can't connect to the cup via Bluetooth, it's supposed to just connect if you allow it to see your location all the time and that still doesn't work. Everything about this cup except for holding a liquid doesn't work. Buy this is you wanna just throw money away.
For everyone struggling with the pin, just turn on bluetooth and location then download the app. Go into the app, it will ask to deny or allow location tap on allow. Should work fine.
Annoying. Will not connect to my Bluetooth. Asks for pass code when one was not provided. Tried basic ones and get denied. It's a farse.
The app was working just fine, until I tried sending a new message this morning. Neither 0000 nor 1234 work as PINs. Is there a new PIN? What happened, all of a sudden?
No way to prevent someone from changing your message! Simple nouns (vodka) and many common verbs are marked as offensive.
"Bad" words are censored at the app level. That's pretty dumb. Good thing I kept the receipt, i'm returning the mug. I can't leave my wife a basic message without being censored. "Damn girl, you fly."
This is ridiculous... supposed to be able to scroll custom messages but sensors words that aren't even curse words. Feel like returning the cup...
It holds my drinks so there's that. This thing is so censored that I couldn't even write root beer on it because the word beer? What's the point in policing something like this? It takes the fun out of the concept.
Deff like it..just wish there was more of a variety of colors & just neat little things
I can't even install the app. It stalls at 97%, thinking of taking this back for a refund. Lame!
My Galaxy S10e recognizes the cup on Bluetooth, but cannot pair.

Over the top censorship. I paid $25 for a cup I cant use to the full potential. 5 stars for an option to edit the censored words

Works well but the censorship is trash. I can't write EPSTEIN DIDN'T KILL HIMSELF on my cup, that is lame. It is my cup, I paid for it and it is none of your business what I want to write on it. You need a way to toggle free speach mode on.
Everyone is complaining it is censored but all you have to do is leave a space between each letter, it still looks about the same and you can write whatever you want.
I just found this cup sdont know who to change colors yet but it's nice to have my own person cup for sure when I dont want to talking l pi ve it I'm going to buy another one just in case
Just got my cup and tried to connect can't connect keep asking for a pass code didn't receive one with the cup I purchased 3 cups and none have a code what can I do

The cup is a fun gift to my wife. Pairing it to my LG Stylo 6 was simple. For those who are spasing about censored words, why are you surprised? And getting around it is easy! Don't be such a Boomer. My wife's cup said this: "I love your 8oobs!" See? Easy peasy!
I have never found this item at any 7-Eleven store as of yet nor any store that has even heard of the item

It won't let me use the word vodka apparently it has a profanity filter, why else would someone get a cup like this.

I like it since i can type anything if you just put spaces between them if it gets censored out
Has a censor that isn't smart enough to know that "grass" isn't a bad word, and it can't be disabled.
So much fun! Works easily, although you can't send messages to your cup unless you allow location access, which is horseshit. It uses bluetooth, so the cup has to be within 30 feet, there's no good reason for this app to need location permissions. So 1* for intrusive permissions. Would like the ability to set it to scroll vertically.
