HelloJoey - Parenting App for Ages 0-12

Parenting: You've got this. And we can help with the first parenting app that combines insights from experts in psychology, neuroscience, pediatrics and mindfulness with relatable, real-life stories. Our mission is to improve relationships, starting with parent and child.

We know that parenting is an important jobβ€”but for most people, it’s one that comes with many surprises and very little preparation. Of course, everyone has advice. But where do we start and who do we trust? More importantly, how can we develop a parenting foundation that empowers us to find what works best for our own, unique family?

We created the HelloJoey app (Hello Joey) to help parents manage any parenting challenge with confidence, empathy and sanity--and on their own terms. Unlike parenting classes or parenting books, our app is built so that you can build a rock-solid parenting foundation in just 10 minutes a day.

Here's how:

Our app is organized into kits which are topics such as Discipline, Bullying, Picky Eating, Screen Time, and Reading. Our team spends hundreds of hours per kit, condensing the latest research, science, and parenting books into content that is simple to learn and practice. We address common parenting questions like:

- How do I discipline my kid without losing my temper?
- Why do kids become picky eaters?
- How much screen time is too much?
- How do I get my kid to read more?

Each kit has multiple blocks which break down a larger topic into bite-sized pieces. You can learn parenting skills through your preferred method (listening or reading) and then build on your skills with activities that reinforce your learning.

We love feedback and suggestions. Please email us: [email protected]

Welcome to the HelloJoey family!

I already reviewed at one star, which I admit I don't usually do. But these guys (gender neutral ;) made it right! They gave me a refund for the premature charge. And gave me a free membership for a decent amount of time. I can't wait to try the courses and report back!

Still pretty glitchy from the start, which should be one of the first things worked out (you want customers to be able to sign up and see content, not turn them away without getting to that!). This is a great idea and could be profitable, but you need to test user experience with each and every step with every update or you're going to lose people before you ever start charging.

I was really excited about this app even after I learned you have to pay for it... but then I saw that you only get two credits per month! so even after I pay for something I can only access two different kits. If I'm paying actual money for your app I should get full access to your content. Still the kits have good information and resources. I look forward to applying them to my parenting. Though I will not be paying 4.99 for two kits per month, so bye after free trial.

During the commercial and by the fact that you can download for free this app misleads you into thinking it has free content. Everything I clicked on has a pay wall. So either you need to mark free content better or make the app show it costs a monthly fee. How many of your downloads are really people that got the app and never got to use it. You buff your numbers to your advantage. I'm not against paying for stuff but I find this configuration unethical. At least add price to top of description

So amazing! I am a psychology students with a focus on child development and psychology and I found this app incredibly helpful! The courses and exercises are not only helpful to children but to myself! Would recommend to any parent or educator!

Just started this week but absolutely love the fact based articles and the parenting approach! Love that it is teaching me that I need to care for myself to better care for my child. Most other parenting programs or articles I have read, don't really remind you that you're health is important to your child's health.

I downloaded the app, logged in with Google account, and it asked me when my child was born. I put in the birthday and selected "next". It looked as if it were loading a new page, but showed the same screen. Over and over and over and over. It would not allow me to access any other screen in the app. I deleted it.

a 7 day free trial doesnt give me much of an experience for the app. why would you give credits to use why not leave the learning open if youre paying for it. 2 credits per month that leaves only two options a month. on top of that there is VERY LITTLE material. I get it, the app is still within its first year, but maybe you shouldve built a lot more material up before a full release and started charging people. i want to try your app but just dont see a reason to spend that much on that little

I was excited to check this app out but cant even create an account.. I tried going through Facebook, it doesn't work, tried going through my Google account, it tells me login failed, so then I tried just entering my email and name and it keeps telling me my email is invalid, I double checked to make sure I entered it correctly and I am still getting that it's not a valid email, when in fact it definitely is.

As a senior father of a five year old autistic son, I'm always looking for ideas and insights, especially from other parents. Each time I tried to read further beyond the Explore tab, the app crashed. Every. Time. Disappointed, uninstalled.

Just started and already loving it. It's easy to use & has options to read instead of listening if need to be quiet. It has helped us so far& can't wait for us to progress further.

I am really interested in this app. It looks nice, but unfortunately I need to figure out who to contact because I just tried to create my account for the first time using facebook and it connects me to an account in app belonging to someone else. It says there is a 21 day streak, and shows a name that isnt mine.

The layout of the UI is friendly to any level of tech/app literacy. The tone of the approach to helping and coaching has a very, welcoming feeling to it. To those that give critical reviews regarding the paid portion, this app and content took time and money from other people's pockets to produce. It's not devious in any sense. I appreciate the creators' effort. Well done.

Was a devoted and loyal user of this app as it has helped me reach a better understanding into a toddlers world, but I will say I am EXTREMELY upset at having to pay for the app now. I do not think you should have to pay for knowledge that is beneficial is developing great relationships with your children, especially with the amount of ignorance you see now a days with how parents are treating children. At least offer some sort of discount for parents who are financially struggling and yes it is not alot of money per say but still, with having so many other priorities (financially speaking) the last thing I want to do is pay for an app that helps connect me with my children. Deeply sadden with this upgrade, and I can bet you are going to be losing alot of parent with this.

I always try out parenting apps, clubs, websites, etc. I have never really felt like I was able to keep interest. I want to learn, and do my best. It's tough when you're seeking advice and have the feedback negative. Parenting can be scarey, overwhelming and discouraging. Being blessed with hellojoey, has made me realize it is okay to stumble, ask questions and make mistakes. They share life experiences to encourage and empower parents to try their best and become the best parent for their child

unfortunately, since the last update I am not able to access any content on my Samsung s9. It says "Response: JSON Parse Error: Unexpected Identifier "An", Would love to see this fixed as I was just starting to get into the real kitsch after the introduction.

My four year old and two year old are around there sinilar aged cousins and I felt like I was losing control of them. After the very first episode I was reminded that they arent acting out on purpose and found ways to help deal with the problems effectively.

This app is fabulous. The sessions are short and come with activities. They have interviewed many experts and read many papers to bring listeners the latest information and tools on parenting. In addition, they interview different parents to talk about how these different tools impact actual families. The app is very well laid-out and easy to use. It is worth every penny you spend on it.

I had this app for months before I started really using it, and I'm glad I finally did. It's already been so encouraging and informative. Short clips, profound truths, simple suggestions. πŸ’›

This app seems like a wonderful resource for parents. I love the content but it was disappointing to find out you need a subscription to continue to access this resource. No pay, no learning. Whack!

This is an absolutely amazing app. It's Awesome! I have learned so much from it myself, let alone the kids. I'm not usually one for these kinds of things, but I can't seem to put this one down. It has so much good information and am ready to continue learning as much as I possibly can.

only 4 stars because I've only had it a few hours but so far I love it and how much it explains the whats and whys about our children and how we parent. I'm sure the longer I keep the app the more likely it'll be to get 5 stars, it's worth giving it a try!

Jes. M. Nov 11, 2018

I have only used the app for 10 minutes but I'm honestly really suprised there is something like this I can access. All I'm thinking is: FINALLY!! I can't wait to dig in. Support.

It's difficult to keep place where you are at. If you leave the app you have to start over. Lots of searching for free content. If I were a member things would be better.

Great advice and gives you steping stones on different things you are not sure how to accomplish or address. I enjoy both the listening and work shop like activities it teaches you. I would recommend this app
