What the hell have you done to this app was really good now it horrible to use. Ever heard of if its not broken don't fix it. Change it back or don't leave what you have now bc its horrible. The app has gotten worse now I can't even make a comment on something I read when I can get to the bottom of the article before it freezes and yes i have deleted it and reinstalled it about to delete and stopping my subscription

Frequently won't download the current newspaper advising that I need to connect to the internet when I already am. 7\4\22. Still the same problem. I don't know what the IT people do all day but they obviously don't fix anything. 8/4/22 Still the same problem.

Really doesn't update on NEWS quick whatsoever...HS really need to STEP IT UP BAD!!! And never ever WIN on any of thier competitions ever! Think it's time to move across to thier rivail(s)!!!

Unreliable! Often unable to download the print edition to my tablet meaning that it cannot be read when away from my Wifi.😠 Sunday again and unable to download the print edition 😠 The app is set to automatically delete downloaded editions after a set number. This does not occur meaning they have to be deleted manually to free up memory! Time consuming and tiresome 😠. Some help from the HS gurus would really be appreciated.

Regularly tells me Im offline, even when connected to wifi. Won't let me comment on articles or give "thumbs up" to comments by others. Disappointing.

When you click on a notification, it takes you to the app, not the particular story. I turned off notifications but still get notification about podcasts - there is no place in the app to turn them off. Tried following the categories I want - you have to scroll down to the bottom of the app, past everything else, only to find it's mainly old stories. The old app was better, had some control over what I was seeing

No longer works as good as it used to. What happened to the blue highlight that helped read articles. And it is starting to get worse. Fails to download the paper frequently. This is one of those classic upgrades to disaster, now I can look at olympic stuff except the paper doesn't down load! There should be a no star rating. They keep changing this and it doesn't really get any better, good features dissapear and they make changes without notifying subscribers.

Useless if you want to view the paper. In the past, this app was very useful, but now the "today's paper" function does not work. Issues do not display. Refreshing the pages times out. HS support FAQs for Android suggest clearing the browser (Chrome) cache, changing some settings, and even removing and reinstalling the app. None of the solutions work, and I now go to the website in a browser. This applies to phone and tablet, so it's not device specific.

Disappointed that NOW while reading the paper we no longer have the device time shown. My ratings are on the way down... New version often loads yesterday's paper. Restarting my device sometimes resolves the problem. Reloading the app sometimes solves it. Today however all these have had no effect to fix my problem. Different day and new version downloaded. Once again after an upgrade of the app I am unable to download the paper. I really do not have time to troubleshoot the app in the morning.

Can't read the paper on the app. Says it lacks an internet connection despite having a connection

One of the worst news apps. Most articles are days old, no articles are time stamped, when news is changing fast it is impossible to know which is current and which is old news. Some articles are weeks old. Also there is a bug, when embedded graphics extend across a whole phone page, it becomes impossible to scroll any further.

Every time they update the app it gets worse to use. Now they say if you want to see thumbnails tap the pages tab at the bottom left, but there is no pages tab. I have updated the app but still no pages tab so now I have to scroll through every page when on the previous iteration I could use thumbnails to bypass pages like the racing guide, etc that I am not interested in. If I could give it zero stars I would.

No crossword, pages not shown full size. Nothing has changed in 6 months.

The refresh or new app is terrible, if there is not an improvement coming in the next few days, I'm cancelling my subscription. The articles are slow, the comments section takes minutes to load if at all, and the overall outcome for my experience is dreadful. I.T. heads, why did you break something that wasn't broken. And why did my app just upgrade without my permission on my phone and tablet. Also,if you want to leave a comment, the key board does not appear. CHANGE IT BACK NOW!!!!!!!!!

So tired of having to reinstall this ap just to get the daily edition to load. Almost easier to just go buy a paper edition.

Don't bother I recently switched from IOS to Android and thought the reason I could no longer access quick links or complete crosswords etc was something to do with this but, seems like a broader issue with the app update late last year which has not been fixed despite nothing but bad reviews... Do you just not care? Will you do anything about it..? I won't hold my breath. Would cancel subscription from this awful tabloid if did not need to access for work.

Please please please roll back to the old user interface. This new one is terrible. The biggest issue is navigation. Under the previous version, navigation was simple, intuitive and easily customisable. This new interface is none of those things.

The new app is a backward step. It's difficult to navigate. The font sizing is way to small. You need to rethink the font scaling. I have used the Settings option to adjust the Font size, even on the Extra Large setting the font is too small.

Once again- you have produced a sub-standard app. Please wait until all features are available. "Every update seems to cause a problem." - previous comment - seems you don't learn! I want to be able to adjust app to the things I want to read about! Can't be too hard ... it was in the last version.

The app is not bad BUT the digital version does not download until 5am. What about people who work into the early hours they cannot read the latest version of the paper. I start work early and would to read the paper at 3am but now I cannot. Fix it so it downloads the new version as soon as it is out like before you upgraded it.

A very fragile database. HS not professional in its management of this system - A) doesn't acknowledge it has problems, B) doesn't inform users when there are problems and provide status updates, just let's you think the problem is with your equipment, C) doesn't provide credit days when it can't deliver its contractual commitment. One almost gets the message that it doesn't want app users.......

New update terrible. Layout pictures overbearing. Refresh doesn't work and it's not until late in the day that I can even download the paper on the newsstand. When it is finally available it take so long to download. Used to be so quick. Please fix.

Lost all the stories and groups I used to read. Bring back the old app as soon as possible. I valued sweeping sideways for various groups, top to bottom, quickly lose interest because I can't go to what interests me at that moment.

you have made a very poor app its up there with the worst ones i pay for my subscription and all i want to do is read the bloody paper not stuff around waiting for one screen after another the previous app was good enough best option is to cancel my subscription walk to the corner shop and buy the bloody paper then read what ever page I want to I am unable to upgrade the app due to the lack of available storage so you have made the decision for me it is a walk to the shop from now on

I really want to subscribe to the Herald Sun again. The problem is that I have done it before and the only way to cancel is to call there hotline and deal with high pressure sales people. Other papers offer Google Play subscription which can easily be turned off and on as required. Until this option is available I will not re-subscribe. It's a shame because this is my favourite newspaper.

Can't actually sign in so can't even use my subscription. Everytime I click login, the app glitches and closes, or gets stuck in and endless loop of trying to open the login page on a webpage, then back to the app, then it closes it all before it loads and starts again.

The app all of a sudden won't load the paper, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and on multiple devices but it seems to be an issue with the app. No point having the app if you can't read the paper on it
