Worked for a while then didn't. Poor support. I stopped receiving the alerts even though no changes were made to my phone notification settings. After initiating a support ticket, I was advised on how to adjust the notification radius within the app which was originally set at 1000 feet and never changed. I replied that it still wasn't working and was simply ignored. By the way, the email notifications disappeared as well.
Most of the time this app works perfectly. However, too often, like this morning, the app does not show the bus at all which confuses the user. The app did not need to be updated (which has been the case twice before). We just missed the bus arriving just in time to see the back of the bus. Too many glitches.
App works for the most part. Lacking in features that would greatly enhance UX. For instance, instead of radius from stop for an alert, the ability to set up a waypoint would be better... Especially with winding routes. Push/email notifications are occasionally bugged, mostly in enabling/disabling.
This app is only helpful if it works in real time - unfortunately it doesn't, which makes it useless. The idea is great, I've been waiting for an app like this for years, especially on those -10° mornings. And I love that you can customize the 'notification radius'. However, even after increasing the radius size, I still get the notifications about 2 minutes after the bus has picked up my kids. For now I am uninstalling, hopefully the response-time can be improved in the future.
Giving it 2 stars only because when it is working properly, it's so helpful!! But that happens so infrequently that I cannot rely on the app at all. Issues range from getting notifications of the bus coming way AFTER it already came and went, some days I don't get notifications at all, or it'll go to my email (which is NOT enabled in my settings) instead of my phone. I really hope the developers fix this ASAP so it can be of use. Otherwise, it's just a waste of storage space on my phone.
For the last 2-3 weeks the app hasn't been accurate. It sends me emails saying my sons bus has been sub. When it really hasn't, and then will have the wrong bus # on the map. It's been very confusing, giving me wrong information if any at all, and been so frustrating. The bus has been running very late, up to an hour behind what the schedule is. I think it's had so many glitches these past few weeks, please fix!! Every afternoon I have to call Ward Elementary and bus transportation, every single day. The past 2 years the app was great!! It was accurate and an amazing tool to have! This year it's been nothing but inaccurate and a headache!! Please fix all the issues, I beg you!!
App would be great if it worked. Started off the school year working okay but then after an update, it basically stopped working the way it should. Notifications are unreliable -- often receive notification as the bus is pulling up to the stop -- the tracker doesn't work at all, so to see where the bus is, you have to keep opening/exiting the app. Setting the notification radius is completely frustrating because you can't zoom into the area without the radius moving. Oh, and if you put in a support ticket, you get no response. I really can't believe school districts are still using this system when there are so many complaints.
Thank You! Works great! I am so glad the school systems stepped up and allowed this! Seeing all the bad reviews I'm guessing there's still some bugs, so I'm playing it safe and sticking with my 3.4.0.20... version instead of updating to the 4/14/2021 version. The only problem I've had is the alarm push, a great feature that alerts you when the bus gets to the distance from your house which you specify, is sometimes late, or doesn't happen. But I can always open the app and see where the bus is.
The app can be a little glitchy, freezing at inopportune moments. Update: fall 2019. Like other users, I can only see bus progress when I fully log out and log back in. I tried removing the app and reinstalling, but that did not help. This needs to be fixed. It's a great concept and so helpful for parents, but it does not work in practice.
12/1/18: This app is so useful, when it works. I've only been using it a few weeks but sometimes it fails to update, other times the bus doesn't even appear on the map, and it doesn't seem to be any way to determine how long do you have until the bus actually arrives. Not even an estimate. Update 9/3/19: More unreliability. The app regularly says things like cannot connect to network. I've tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling and I still have problems.
This app and site are both consistent only in their inconsistency. Refresh sometimes decides not to work, and the prefs for things like email pushes do not seem to save correctly. The UI/UX is clearly the work of amateurs...and have not been tested to any large degree, if tested at all. If your school system uses this app...I feel for you. It's garbage..
It's a very useful app and is great when you can get into it. For the last several weeks every time my daughter or myself have tried to login we have had to re-enter all the login credentials that use to be saved and reset the password. Looking at the recent reviews this is a common issue. An app that is a headache to login to is quickly going to become a useless app because we will get fed up dealing with the headache. FIX THE LOGIN ISSUE!
App started off ok, but now I can't get anything to work. I've deleted and started over 3 times, still doesn't work. My kids names show, but their stop doesn't come up. The settings portion is terrible, help section is terrible. When it was working, I got notifications after the bus had already picked up my kids. They need to redo this thing. I'd rather just stand at the stop with my child than be frustrated by this thing.
