Heredis

Great app. I'm having fun entering my family to it. I haven't tried to import my existing tree to it though but that's a personal preference. LOVE that you can add photos to either the person or the events, or both! The only issue I have with is so far is that everytime I change the signature status of a person, it doesn't save. It always reverts back to the default I set which is "Signs Perhaps". If that could be fixed, I'd give this app a 5*.

The app is good as it doesnt force ads. It is fairly straight forward once you play with it a little. Though being able to scroll through the entire family tree would be nice. My biggest issue is more of a nickpick, when typing surnames the capital/shift key is automaticly held down unless tapped. Like a reverse of how it normally works except holding it down to trigger lowercase letters doesnt work. Being able to type surnames normally would be good.

I have this on ipad, it is very good, easy to use & convenient. However, the synching between devices is troublesome & the lack of backwards compatability is a serious flaw stopping me moving forward. Later versions will not even read a GEDCOM file created by my version of Heredis FGS!

Really enjoying this app. Now trying the PC version. Unfortunately I am having issues with transferring files from the phone to pc and back. If I can get this working I will buy the full version.

I've been using Heredis on iPad for years, which exports in GED file format, and it's brilliant. Now on Android using this version, I've absolutely no idea how to convert GED to the format it supports, and hence am unable to use it.

I tried importing a GEDCOM file, a feature you'd expect in any genealogy app, but apparently it's useless without the desktop app (which is only available as a trial or paid application).

great to be able to carry my heredis files but would be nice if it could update between main files without uploading new copy. also not able to update information if i come across something doesn't help.

This seems to be the best one out there. Nobody bothers you for money or steals your branches to put on their own family tree. You can add as many pictures as you want. It's well laid out and easy to use. Exactly what I've been looking for. Kudos!

I downloaded this app after reading all the good reviews and I cannot get it to do anything! It is not user friendly at all!!! I am going to try and do some more research and try and figure it out, otherwise I am deleting it.

Tried to open app, it froze. Tried again, screen went black and froze. So I uninstalled it.

When it works it's not bad, but all too often it just won't open, all you get is a blank screen.

Is there an option to put customise your own event under each person. I would like to add my own event to each person.

I downloaded several family tree apps before I found this one. It is the best one I have found. Now I have lasting family information so my kids know where they come from.

So confusing, not user friendly, not intuitive at all

Won't import gedcom, most take other steps, help is in Spanish,?????

No direct .ged file import. Please put this as a note in your App write up to ensure people know before downloading. Yes, I know, should have read all the negative reviews first!
