It's a nice little game. The artwork is amazing, and I love that it incorporates some of the major things in the original games. I wouldn't play this super intensively but it's good if you're looking to possibly waste some time and if you want dragon age: the very lite edition. It's a good game for what it is. At first it wouldn't finish the download but I just had to uninstall then reinstall.
Was having a lot of fun to start. I don't mind so much how much everything costs, because I can grind for that eventually. However, I do mind that my device lost service, and then suddenly I was playing the tutorial again. And now, even if I close the app, I just get to start over. Until I get my profile back, this is staying one star.
After putting some more time into the game, I've decided to change my review. HoDA is a solid game with an enjoyable amount of depth. The strong presence of DA lore and its overall style are great as well. While I wish that there was more to the game and that we could all move past archaic energy systems, this is a fun game that the devs continue to support years after release, and I hope they'll continue to do so.
As a whole I do mostly enjoy this game. But something that is supremely aggrivating, is that if you try to load the game onto a new device - upgraded phone for example, you are forced to go through the entire tutorial again. There should be a skip option for the stupid tutorial.
I played this game and loved it and then switched devices and encountered a bug that had persisted for two years locking me out of my hard earned heroes and teams. I really enjoyed this game. I haven't been able to play it for two years now because of this bug and I bring up now because back when the bug first happened there was no response from the team . I would hope to get one now. I am doing this because I see other people complain in other reviews and it seems to work.
The game is ok, what holds it back for me is that it is CONSTANTLY lagging. The UI under the Heroes section needs an actual search bar so I can find what I want very quickly also a scroll bar would be nice. Also current search catagories should be replaced by the various Races and Groups since Rarity is too vague and unhelpful to find what I want quickly. The Double XP event is nice since I can use 2 XP boost runes on top of it to level very quickly. But that Giants event... Yikes.
It was pretty awesome for the approximate 42 and a half minutes i actually got to play. its getting a 1 because it was only on my 4th attempt installing on the third phone when i finally got the briefest above mentioned preview of gameplay before it crashed, and returned to doing the same glitch and freeze that originally kept me from enjoying this otherwise amazing game...
I installed this yesterday... I can't play it. It keeps saying that I have a network connection error, but my internet is and has been fine... I got to the 2% mark on downloading the "rest of the game" when you start it up and it errors out
I played this game shortly after it first came out and had issues with how much space it devoured from my device. I thought I would give it another try, only now I can't seem to get a connection to the server continuously enough for a 505 mb download to complete, and I know for a fact it isn't my network. So, I suppose I will delete it again and say screw it and chalk it up to EAs incompetence in making a working game that doesn't cost you a 2nd mortgage on your home.
I assume you guys are aware of the issue facing new installs. The 500 MB update after installing the game, never finishes. I get to about 80% and then I get the error message stating it can't talk to the server. I'm on a Google Pixel 5 with Android 12, fully updated. I've tried multiple WiFi sources and cell data too. Still no luck.
if youre a MEGA fanboy of dragon age just collecting over 600 different characters (from all the games!) is SUPER fun! the combat is different from other f2p character collecting games like galaxy of heroes/marvel strike force but if you play those games in auto its BASICALLY the same (just faster) the only thing that kiiinda holds it back is the slighlty lackluster graphics and the fact the combat is essentially auto it doesnt feel so much of a "game" than a simulation sometimes but its fun!!
They don't want you to actually play the game. 10 minutes in I was out of energy and needed to buy more. I've played a lot of gatchas and have never seen a lower energy pool. Plus 1 campaign mission, which takes 2 seconds, uses 5 of my 12 total energy. Just disgusting. Avoid this one at all costs.
Truly great game! It plays like a gacha game where you are required to collect characters but is incredibly free to play. I have yet to spend more than $15 at any point in this game and I'm level 185 and have played religiously for about a year now. The game has gorgeous character design, beautiful settings for battles and an enormous selection of characters to build teams with. This game is a gem among it's genre, I recommend this highly to any Dragon Age fans or people who are a fan of the strategy genre.
This game originally started on Facebook and I enjoyed playing it there. They then streamlined the game and made the characters into interactive chess like pieces. This game is very old and we really need a brand new Dragon Age mobile game. If your new to this game you will find lots to do. If your a long time player like me then it is boring now.
Obviously not the type of rpg that Dragon Age is, but it has certain elements of DAO, including character types and basic plots. It's a simple turn-based game, collect an army of fighters and make your way through the levels. I got a dragon at level 2 and I haven't been beaten yet. 😁
Wow the possibilities of getting a really cool character are pretty great right from the start!! I love thus game, very addictive and actually is very interesting. It does remind me of dragon age in a way. A little more control though over actions would be nice. But still its pretty cool how the summoning is done.
gameplay is great. quests and equipping characters/consuming is fun. but there has to be a tier system for pvp. there is no way a level 10 should be going up against a level 100. not sure what happened by just lost my profile. now I have to start over
I very much enjoy the ability to consume attributes of new characters and the PVP battles. Graphics are fantastic as are the animations. For a pay for play game the in app purchases are reasonable though you can work your way up the ranks with ease and persistence without spending a small fortune.
Love the Dragon Age series, but this game is too much of a pay to win to get more than 3 stars. The battles also leave a bit to be desired as they are automated and don't give the player any control over tactics.
Not sure what the point is. There is no player participation in the combat beyond plug-in heroes. Plug-in and do nothing but see if you plugged in the right selection. It seemed like a really good concept but in the end it was flat.
So I love dragon age with all my heart. Unfortunately there must be some type of problem because when I am trying to continue onto the second part of the tutorial it freezes and is stuck. I can still hear music of course. I tested to see if it was lag by loading it up in the being of my math class which lasted an hour nothing still stuck on the same screen. Great game though wish I could see more!
