i love the app it's simple, quickly editable, and clean interface. I've been using for months but I didn't give it 5 stars because i haven't seen many improvements since I started using it, granted it works but you can always make anything better. One example is that it's really easy to enter the wrong set data and mess up your stats. I would also like to view only current exercise not the whole page.
Solid enough app. Coming over from using Strong, the experience is a bit different. The need to add extra sets before you do them in order to have the workout timer actually work is annoying. Ditto for the cap of two exercises in a superset. The limit on customized exercises before paying for Pro is understandable, but it doesn't compare well to Strong, which has no limit.
I've used loads of different workout/health apps. This one by far has taken the cake. Usually when using apps I get frustrated and think "they could have made this part easier/better/ more organized". I find this apps layout very simple and easy to use while at the same time including everything you'd need. 10/10 recommend for all levels of fitness folk. The creator knew what they were doing.
I really love the app. I was struggling to organize my routines while training by myself, but after downloading it in January, I have rearranged all my training plans to it. It's easy to use, saves the weights correctly, and offers all the exercises that I need. The only negative point is the limited number of plans you're able to create (4). If the Pro version were cheaper, I would consider buying it.
I've been using this year, and I have about 52 workouts logged with it so far. I used to use the fitness 22 gym tracker app which is pretty good, but it lacks so many of the features in this. Using the plate calculator and quickly being able to swap exercises during a workout is extremely amazing. The community on here is also fantastic. Me and friend are competing to see who has the better squat, and we can quickly check it on this app. It's so amazing. Overall this is a fire app. Good job!
Moved over from Strong. This app beats it hands down. Totally customizable to your trainings requirements. The free app offers basic features that are adequate for a beginner. The paid for app allows customizable routines and exercises. There is also a social part of the app, sharing routines and posting questions to other members. On top of all this, the paid for version is very reasonable.
This app is great, very easy to use and very user friendly. I like the comparisons when it counts how many workouts you've done or that you've lifted as much as a cyber truck. Only thing is I wish I could see other people I follow when they are at the gym currently. Like "in progress" that way we can cheer them on for being at the gym at the same time! Anyway, highly recommend!!
This app is so amazing!!! I just started online coaching and was feeling super list in the gym and a little frustrated going between the spreadsheet of workouts recommended, the YouTube videos on how to do them, my notes app to log my weight and reps, and everytime I'd open YouTube my spotify would pause. The struggle was REAL. This app took all of that pain away and makes me feel so much more confident in my workout. THANK YOU TO THE DEVELOPER! AMAZING!!!
The free version is good without intrusive adds. The ability to build and customize different workout routines is what drew me to the app, the simple reminders of what weight and reps I did last time are icing on the cake. I also find the simple rep timer invaluable. I'm very impressed with the balance Hevy found being useful as a free app for novice lifters with the paid features becoming essential only when somone becomes more serious about their training.
Tried 5 similar apps and this was the best. Each workout has a picture or gif of the exercise with the targeted areas highlighted, which helps for matching the exercise to the name from whichever plan you're using. Only complaints would be that I wish the pictures loaded faster and had a clickable button to some YouTube channel of the exercise.
I love this app and use it in free version, when I go train. In my opinion, it has everything I need out of a training app including, timer, save your favorite exercises and make your own routine, even explanation videos for every exercise, you can customize your sessions how ever you see fit and you can even create customs exercises, which I dont, but it is a nice to have feature
Great app, ive been using it for about 6 months now and just bought the lifetime membership today. I picked this over other apps because you can add notes that wont go away after the session ends which i really like so im reminded of rep ranges. REQUESTS: I would like to have the ability to add an RPE to sets so i remember how hard it was and would also like an updated timer that tells the total amount of time its been going for. Im proud to support a smaller app, keep up the good work!
I really like this app. It's super easy to use and user friendly. There are exercises already in the app to build your workouts or you can add your own and what's really nice is it shows you an animation of the exercise if you're not totally sure how to do it! I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking to plan and record their workouts!!
One of the best fitness apps I've used. I switched from FitNotes to Hevy and I'm not planning to go back. Saveable routines, RPE measurement, Warmup and Fail sets and more are all things I've been missing for a long time and are all implemented here. Devs are super responsive and helpful. Some extra features I'd love to see are a Rest timer in the notifications bar and automatic CSV exports to Google Drive or other cloud storage.
