A close rip off Polytopia. The graphics are more elaborate, and less crisp. The gameplay is about the same, although the tribes are more uniform than in Polytopia. And overall the departs from just cloning Politopia for a hexagonal map are a bad idea, like the weird tech tree. Where all resources are the same, and exploring ruins is bound to give you a resource that is not on the map, at least not on your side of the map.

I really like this came as it's a great alternative to over playing polytopia. I've bought almost every character and enjoy each ones pros and cons. One of the more frustrating aspects is playing a game involving am open sea. The ai spawns an enormous amount of ships and the game sometimes feels like its "whoever controls the ocean wins" no matter what technology is researched etc. If the enemy outproduces you in ships you're immediately done. Could us tweaking but overall really great!

Pretty good, compared to polytopia (pretty similar game I've enjoyed) there are some aspects better than others, I love the design, although there are a little to many details I'd say. My least favorite feature is that you need achievements to go onto harder difficulties, I got a hold of the mechanics and everything first round, but then I have to play another round on the easiest setting to go on. I reccomend this game if you are looking for a good, simple strategy based game.

Bingeable, but not quite 5 stars. Great graphics, gameplay is easy to learn. Each tribe is unique and has a strategy, which is cool. Gameplay gets repetitive and sort of dull, especially on the larger maps, and the higher difficulties just stall the game out to long lengths. Deeper tech trees and less expensive tech later in the game might help.

The game is worth your time if you like turn-based, nation development, light war games. Gameplay: The perfect ballance between the best things I love about big PC strategies, but in pocket form and easy enough to pick up. Monetization is good: You have no advertisements. But you also have only one tribe, based on the conquistadors. The rest you buy with teal money, but the prices are cheap and it's a one time purchase. There are f2p options, but it's nearly impossible to earn them.

This game is generally enjoyable especially at the start. Unfortunately when you start trying to hunt 3 star Master rankings everything becomes the whim of random generation. The ai really loves to spam ships on this difficulty if there is any amount of water and it's pretty hard to clear them out in a reasonable amount of turns. The concept of the game is fun but trying to grind higher difficulty especially ai vs player team games kinda isn't enjoyable.

This game is really fun. It would be fun to play a campaign mode as well as pvp multiplayer. Overall it's a great game but the way you get graded on match results needs adjustments. It's not fun to try and finish the expert level maps in less than 30 moves or 20 or 10. You literally have to jump out of the gate and go kill everyone as fast as possible. There's no time for building an empire. In addition to a "long game" it would be cool to see a deeper and more sophisticated upgrade system

This is a good game, fun to play but for a short time. in my opinion the upgrade choices for the towns are very narrow (in the beginning you will always choose gold over sight, and maybe expand over more citizens). I also miss some more balancing for the units, but that is harder, admittedly. and finally, more achievements would be appreciated, as well as ways to get some more tribes for free.

Fun turn-based strategy game with good graphics and gameplay. The control interface is easy to use, although the developers should work on the centering feature after selecting a unit (the map quickly recenters when a unit is selected, and, if the player keeps tapping on the map, the unit might be sent to an unwanted destination) Also, please do something with the bonus ads. They aren't loading sometimes.

This is a legit strategy game. It's incredibly fun and thankfully doesn't beat you over the head with constant ads. Locking some of the tribes behind a paywall is a bit disappointing, but it doesn't take anything away from the gameplay. There is a problem though, in that right now there's some bug that prevents me from connecting to the network, so I can't get achievements, can't get daily gifts or any of that. Fix this and it would be great.

The game runs smoothly. Everything with the gameplay is fine, but I'm giving it 4 stars. Why? Because there's the same problem I had with polytopia - small map, quick games. Give us the option to play on a huge map with a lot of opponents, for now I have 160 tiles and 3 fractions to choose from. I don't mind being 'limited' to 3 tribes and to pay for other, but I hate map limits. I want a reasonably big map with things to do (like civilization). Add that and I'll be pleased. Thank you!

The game is entertaining for a while, but there are a ton of balencing issues that need to be fixed. Like when you start out I've had it where i start out landlocked, with only one or two villages near, with the oponent having the rest. The game also has research that you can do to become more powerful. However, many of the techs are only useful while playing as certain tribes. For example, there is a tech that lets you harvest wood, but trees only appear when a certain tribe is ingame.

This game has a lot of potential but falls short in two key areas 1. Provide us with an option to unlock all tribes with in game currency instead of forcing us to pay to play. 2. Add the option to play multiplayer. There are other quality of life changes I'd like to see, but those two are at the top of the list. It has solid graphics, and is very fun but can get repetitive n boring after a while due to the above limitations.

Good game, nice graphics. Similar to other titles such as Polytopia, this has better visuals and the hex-shaped tiles work better than squares. The tech tree is a bit limited, however, and the three tribes available for free mean that you get all achievements and run out of things to do pretty quickly before you need to pay. If there was a bundle pack to unlock all tribes I'd consider it, but at a few dollars for each separate tribe, it wasn't worth continuing for me.

Pros: Gameplay is good, it's a basic Civilization type game, which is fun, it has replayability at the toughest difficulty, and the controls are fairly easy - you tap, you tap again, you can pan & zoom the camera, & that's it! The graphics are low-poly, which I like, & they're done well! Cons: Drops a star because literally the only negative is that most of the factions are behind a paywall, there's no other way to unlock them, so it's basically a demo! It could also use a multiplayer mode!

I don't usually rate games but this one is compelling me to. The concept is brilliant - tower defense in a new intuitive style. Each game has a different combination of situations and resources, so it makes the game not a stereotype typical strategy game! At the same time you need to plan for each move as a wrong set of moves will probably make you need to restart game! Looking forward to furthermore improvements and additions of technologies.

This game is a complete copy of Polytopia, but with a few changes. Really, Midjiwan deserves the credit for this game, not Toggle Gear. But the few differences are fun, and I really enjoy them. Only a few problems keep it from being five stars- when you unlock unique units (without real money, thankfully), the computers never use them. The music is pretty but there's only 4 songs, please make more! But those are small, it's a fun game :)

Mys. D. Jul 31, 2019

All in all, the gameplay, graphics, and controls are really good...TOO good. This game is a ripoff of a game created back in 2016, this one was created in the later part of January this year after seeing that that game had gone trending. The name of the original game is The Battle of Polytopia, it features the same controls and a little variance in units. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PLOY!!!

Pau. S. Dec 24, 2020

this game is cute and fun but becomes repetitive quickly as there are very few achievements. the only goal is to play a perfect round of each difficulty with each tribe, but the AI appears to have a clear advantage, able to develop and train troops much faster than the player ever could. the harder difficulties then, are not much fun and simply luck of the draw if the computer decides to stomp you immediately or not. fun for a few days but don't invest in it.

Jon. W. Nov 1, 2021

This is a really well done balance of strategy and casual. The game is challenging enough to be interesting (especially with the review after games) and the graphics are charming. There are a lot of in app purchases and encouragment to watch ads but in general this is not too intrusive which I appreciate. The scoring encourages extra grinding for points after winning which is a shame and it is a real missed opportunity that there's no multiplayer or ability to create custom scenarios.

Neat little game. It's clearly 'inspired' by Polytopia but the hex map does give a bit more flexibility so props to that. The design however isn't as polished, it's hard to figure out at first glance what a mine or where an enemy is. I hope they continue developing and expanding upon its unique features more, as games like Polytopia offer plenty of replayability.

Wonderful simplified civ-type game. Nice looking 3 dimensional models and environments built into a hex grid really help with the feel of the game, and for the mostpart the controls are well built and easy to use. A must-play for anybody looking for a tough, yet fun, strategy game. That said, this game is far from complete. A.I difficulty seems to have been achieved simply by giving them more resources, and units like the archer and cannon need a nerf.
