HEY Bracelet

Everybody wants to be close to their loved ones. But sometimes there’s just too much distance, making it impossible to hold that one special person. Until now. HEY bracelet lets you feel your loved one, no matter the distance. It’s the first wearable that’s able to mimic a real human touch. And by doing so, it adds a new dimension to relationships. From now on you are always closely connected to your loved one(s). Wherever they are. HEY creates an exclusive bond between lovers, parents and children, friends or anyone who wants to stay connected through touch.

In order to use your HEY bracelet you need the HEY app. After creating a HEY account in the app and connecting your smartphone and bracelet via Bluetooth, you can send and receive touches to and from other HEY users. The app is really easy to use and it’s free!

Free and easy-to-use app, tailor-made for the HEY bracelet
The HEY app lets you:
• Create a personal HEY account;
• Connect your smartphone with your HEY bracelet via Bluetooth;
• Setup your HEY bracelet;
• Send and receive invitations to get in touch with other HEY users;
• Send* and receive touches;
• Keep track of touches sent and received;
• Send touches including your location, so the receiver knows where you are.

*That means you can send touches if your HEY bracelet’s battery is empty. Woohoo!

So for a good while I was having most of the same issues as everybody else said, bracelet disconnecting. Never reconnecting. Never recognizing the bracelet after turning off. Seemed like the only fix was clearing the data or uninstalling and re installing. After messing with the battery setting and following the instructions more carefully, the biggest fix was locking the app in the recent apps tab. Something I never knew was a thing for my phone. No issues what so ever! Love it!

Pairing directions are very poor. Bluetooth and GPS settings must both be enabled on your phone and in app. The GPS settings can be turned off once paired. The motor is WAY louder than expected and sounds rough. the body of the device feels very cheap with low quality plastic and half hearted design. I love the band, and it does actually work. I feel like more time could have been spent on the design phase to address the motor noise and cheap feel.

My partner and I were so excited to use our bracelets and mine won't connect to my samsung 9 phone. I had no problems at first but it won't reconnect now. His works perfectly fine but I want to have the experience too, it. I've tried disconnecting to reconnect to deleting the app and downloading it again. I even double checked with the battery on the bracelet and charged it for a long night. 😔 please help me with this issue, I just want to have the connection. We spent a good amount for this.

Figured it out, the bracelet will disconnect if you're away from your phone, and then you got to plug it back in to reconnect it again or turn them off and plug them in. You can send a touch whenever but if you want it to send out faster you should have the app actually open on your phone screen and not just the background. It was tricky to figure out cause the downloadable manual doesn't say much but honestly, I guess I'm glad I got these. Also keep your phone nearby, they won't disconnect

The bracelets are a neat way to stay connected, however the app is a little buggy and it's difficult to keep the bracelet paired, especially if you turn it off. We also can't update our profile pics for some weird reason. So far we're going to keep trying. Update 1/18/21 Reached out to customer service and were given a run around. Tried all the troubleshooting with no luck. The product and app are faulty and not working as described on the website.

We tested it on 4 different phones, only the one with the absolutely outdated android version managed a half stable connection. Two other devices can't pair at all, when pressing the search button it says it can't find a bracelet within just a second, so clearly a bug. I never complained during the kickstarter campaign, but this is an absolutely broken product and simply does not work for pretty much every customer and the designers are not doing anything about it.

The only thing going for this app is that the interface is easy to understand. However the negatives far outweigh the positives. My biggest gripe with this app is the notifications; there's _way_ too many! "BLING", you sent a touch! "BLING!" you received a touch! Very irritating, I just want the bracelet to react, not my phone! I tried to hide the notifications in Android, but the app quit working altogether! You NEED notifications on to receive or send touches with the bracelet!! Absolutely ridiculous.

The app is pretty much trash. There is always some glitch which in order to do anything on the app you will have to close it completely and restart it. I have never had an easy time pairing my bracelet. It always takes at least 5 tries and two app restarts for the bracelet to finally pair. The idea is great but the app needs some serious help.

Frustrating setup. Never shut your bluetooth off or you'll be hit with 50+ notifications from the app in less than a second. The bracelets themselves "worked" but they were not the quality we were looking for. The squeeze is driven by a motor that produces an audible and not really subtle sound, even with the quieter mode enabled. Certianly underwhelmed for the price and in general. I strongly suggest Bond Touch bracelets to anyone looking for a similar product.

The bracelet continues to disconnect after use. Even with a full charge. The app gives me nothing but problems trying to reconnect. it typically takes between 20 min to an hour for the app to FINALLY MAKE AN EFFORT to search. It's getting ridiculous and I'm tired of having to go through this SEVERAL times 100% DAILY.

I wanted to love this, I did. We got these because the app specifically stated we could send touches without the bracelets, as we frequently have to go without. The bracelets worked as long as we had our phones on us (see everyone else's issues) but recently, we cannot send or receive touches from the app anymore. It says they send, but they don't show for the recipient or in notifications or on the timeline, which was the whole reason we wanted this over any other device. Very disappointing.

I love the concept and I desperately want it to work and it does but only temporarily. It find the bracelet. Starts connecting and then it going back the "make sure your bluetooth is on" screen. I am very frustrated because I would really like it to work.

I have a Galaxy Note Edge. No matter how charged my bracelet it (over 2 hours), the app can not find it via Bluetooth. I put my bracelet directly on the phone, plugged it in and un-plugged it after a few seconds like in troubleshooting, put my hand over it, nothing. Very dissapointing. I will gladly change the reviews if there's ever a fix! But, for now, this is about all this app and the braclet is for rating.

Last update of the application doesn't even start and immediately crashes. Previous version was not properly registering the touches unless the app was open in foreground. Running nRF Connect in the background to keep connection to the bracelet open sometimes worked as a workaround. Overall the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Honest Review: The ratings say it themselves. I've never seen such low ratings on an app, even for those that was used for the rip-off chinese things. So I had this doubt but had confidence in the bracelet. I was so... disappointed. First, you have to have this app, connect it to the bracelet which takes ages. But, in addition, the app must ALWAYS be on or in the background or else it wont work. Furthermore, it disconnects every 10 minutes, ruining the experience by 100 times. Conclusion: Trash

So i bought the bracelet to use with my partner. They just received it today and I installed the app. It just..doesn't open! Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, still nothing! I would hope one of the employees of this company could write back and respond to me. This is not a good way to advertise a sentimental product. Don't scam people 90 or even more for a product that doesnt even work! Thanks.

the app is full of bugs. we have not managed to make the devices function as was promised by the developpers. after hours of tries and errors only one device is capable to send and receive touches. the device is oversensitive resulting in tons of notifications on your phone, which cannot be disabled, because otherwise the devices wont function at all.

Mal. J. Jun 28, 2021

Bracelet disconnects randomly even when its charged and has to be plugged in to reconnect. Sometimes even when its connected it still doesn't work unless its re-paired. Sometimes the Bracelet will be on and sending touches but nothing actually gets sent because the Hey service app crashed and is no longer running without me knowing. A traditional watch band would go along way with these because the ones it comes with aren't very secure for normal activities. Sometimes it will just pop off.

Cat. S. Oct 24, 2018

Starting off with I like how the app is simple, straightforward and visually appealing. That being said, I can't connect to my bracelet even though my bluetooth scanned and identified it. I have a Galaxy S9+, I've read every word of the manual, charged the bracelet for hours, I've restarted my phone and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. So until House of Haptics fixes this issue of pairing my devices up, it's a tentative "this app is pretty but garbage".

these are just horrible. after spending 3 hours trying to get them to connect to our phones they kept disconnecting them selfs. then we had to restart the entire process. when mine did connect the app told me that my battery level went from 62% to 80% down to 9% within the span of an hour and it wasn't on a charger at all durring that. hopefully customer service is decent but well see... also jad a problem where mine received touches but couldnt send them...
