This app does not have a bad interface or anything like that the problematic thing is even when you're scooter displays on its interface set bluetooth is active the signal, this Highboy app that's supposed to be 10 official firmware tool application does not work. Eyes I've been spending the last 30 minutes trying to load it and it does not catch my scooter signal at all. I hope I was helpful thank you.
I'm using Android 7 on the Moto G4 phone. For some reason this app fails to see my device (Hiboy S2) without me trying to connect several times, it's an inconvenience that can be frustrating. And it shows my device having 25 km of optimum distance and 30 km of optimum speed when the specs of my device on the box it came in says it has 27 km of optimum distance and 25 km of optimum speed. It's all quite confusing. I think this app will need some fine-tuning before it's ready for the app market.
Better than the other hiboy app.. other app wouldn't even connect this thing connected instantly and it let me adjust my sport mode speed from 15 to 17.4 mph Max I could have even set it to 18.6 but I heard it heats up/ pushes the motor... if I could just Mount my phone on the handlebars because it's a lot easier to use the buttons on this app then use the one button on the factory hiboy interface ...
app works with no problems can even make the scooter faster than stock setting but warning setting speed at higher then stock setting can overheat the motor which will cause a loss in speed to protect motor only use high speed for short spurts app could use improvement in customizing regenerative braking cause it cant be adjusted
After putting on hundreds and hundreds of miles on my highboy I can't think of any ways to improve it as it already comes with a solid Wheels as the air fill Wheels easily pop and are expensive to replace my highboy gets me a to b again as cheaply as possible and charges quickly and will not overcharge as it has a regulator on the charging system I took my highboy to the super bowl in Tampa and never had more fun getting up and driving to LA fitness every morning at 5:00
My Samsung Galaxy S8+ cannot find scooter with this app. It seems to be the android app. I tested it with my iPad and it connects. I am not gonna carry my ipad around son fix the app or I will have to return both of my new scooters and get a different brand.
App connects to the scooter quick and works great, however I feel its necessary to have some security enabled for connecting, so that not anyone can just connect once the scooter is turned on.
App works great and love locking the scooter through there. It would be nice to know what is upgraded when there is a new firmware update.
Can't connect app to Hiboy max Edit: newly released app just for hiboymax. Need as many features as this one.

Connects almost immediately when my HiboyS2 is on and I open the app. While it can turn the headlight on/off, it cant turn the deck lights off. The 2 different settings for cruise control are good, let's me set the CC for one of them to 15(speed limit on a nearby bike trail)and have the second set to a higher speed. It's set to metric, which is not adjustable. The Lock is theoretically useless if the battery is completely drained as it locks the wheels keeps scooter on and beeps if it moves.
