The app is good. Needs more instructions on how to successfully install BT. Seems intuitive but it's a bit redundant. The user manual has the default password as (000000) the app has password listed as (0000 or 1234). The manual is the winner in this battle. Once you connect to BT and the BT icon on the scooter stays on the app apparently it is still not connected. Of course, tried to uninstall and reinstall. Also checked several permissions settings. Finally: restarted my phone!! Worked!👍🏻

App needs improvements as well as more UI friendly navigation. For those who are experiencing not connecting error. I did too. But I found the solution. Install the app, then if you have the Bluetooth on (on your phone), pair it with the scooter (pin number 000000). The Bluetooth light on the scooter will remain lit. The scooter and phone will successfully be paired. Ok. Then on your phone, turn back off the Bluetooth. Later open the hiboy max app and turn on Bluetooth, and done! Good luck. WAGM

App is a bit clunky but works fine on my Nexus 6p. I had trouble connecting at first but you have to give it location permission and turn on GPS or it won't work at all. Don't forget to pair the Bluetooth device in system settings, pin 000000. If you're concerned about giving it location/GPS then block its WiFi and cell data using a VPN app.

Worked fine with my HBMAX from receipt in May, until 9/2. Scooter will no longer connect via app, un/Reinstalled, and now it is asking for a LOT of permissions. Photos, meda, files, Wifi send and receive data and files, and also to Modify/delete as well as read contents of shared storage. Location and BT I can figure, but why my files and Media? There's no speakers. Roll back your update guys, this one is a dud.THE APP IS THE ONLY WAY TO TOGGLE CRUISE CONTROL, IT IS DANGEROUS TO NOT BE ABLE TO DISENGAGE IT ON FIRST USE!!! This needs fixed!

I have to restart the app everytime I want to connect. So if i turn my scooter off, and come turn it on later, And the app is still open on my phone, It won't connect. A connect button or autoconnect without restart feature would be nice. Also, please change the ui and make it prettier

So far not a single one of these apps syncs up with my Hurtle Hiboy. Either the passwords don't work or it will not recognize the Bluetooth. Don't bother, this will be more frustrating than just looking down, and pushing a button a few times.

Unfortunately the app does not work. I did everything from giving it all permissions but the scooter wouldnt be recognized by the app. So i used my parents iphone xr which actually worked with no problems. The big reason i did this to mainly turn the annoying cruise control off. My solution is if you cant get it to work borrow someones iphone as i couldnt get it to work on my galaxy a51. It connected right away when i installed the app and turned on bluetooth.

So red and black, can't change the colors too anything less depressing and more cheerful. If they give a way to change the colors I'll give it 5 stars, the thing looks almost gore like with the black blood red scheme. Also instructions in the app for how to connect the thing

App does not stay connected. Will connect for a few seconds then disconnect. Basically useless. Using a OnePlus 7 pro. Update 9/2/20 After latest update the app now stays fully connected to Hiboy Max. Much much better.

The scooter is great the app is the worst piece of garbage I've ever downloaded on my phone. The app will not connect to the scooter and the only way you can turn the headlights on is if you can get the app to connect, please fix your app so it connects to the scooter.

It good but I hate the fact that I got close out the whole app when ever I walk out of range or turn the scooter off in order to be able to login to the scooter and control things again

This app is how one is supposed to access some of the features of the Hiboy Max v2. However, the Hiboy company knows that this app is non-functional and shows no interest or concern for fixing the problem. So, this app is garbage. And this garbage app makes your Hiboy Max v2 and possibly others, GARBAGE! If you haven't yet bought a Hiboy scooter, DON'T DO IT! I'm taking advantage of Amazon's return policy today. Thanks for nothing Hiboy.

This app is completely useless. It won't recognize my Hiboy MAX scooter even though it's correctly paired with my phone via Bluetooth. I've tried everything. It just sucks that it comes down to a crappy app not working. Get it together guys!

Awful. I have never been able to connect the scooter to the app. Scooter connect to the phone via bluetooth, but the app keeps saying disconnected from device

It's good, but it can be better. I wished it was a bit more updated UI wise. It just looks a little outdated in my opinion. But other than that it's perfect so far.

Very bad app wont work with the scooter and the scooters wifi is bad too I can connect with my phone but when you turn it off the scooter you have to disconnect wifi and re type the code to connect it again but app still wont connect.

I'm trying to pair it with my android phone and it doesn't do anything, I've tried uninstalling the app and install the app and doesn't want to connect, anyone else having trouble, I need help with this.

Barely works, each time I have to completely unpair and connect to restablish the connection and it's still a hit or miss.

Connect to phone Bluetooth but that's it. Nothing works, says disconnected from vehicle.

With the 1.1 updates scooter would not connect with app. Had to downgrade to 1.0.3 and scooter connected with no problems.

I can't even connect to it I don't have the option and no my native Bluetooth doesn't work

Should have an option to limit speed. Also, an option to lock the scooter or have the app beep if the scooter is moved.

Avast listed this app as containing malware. I'd uninstall if you have it until the developers can remove the malicious code.

My scooter quite charging the second week i had it and they took a month to tell me it would be a month before i new battery could be shiped to me. Its been over a month and no battery

Wont connect, emailed the developers and no response for days. Not even worth the hassle.

Phone is Bluetooth connected to HiboyMax but app won't pick it up no matter what I try.

Do like the scooter but the folding put its so hard to fold the scooter is not worth the time. Might takes hour or hours to fold the scooter or can't at all fold one bit.

Brand new scoot with an app that doesn't work at all. How disappointing. Last update in October of last year. Come on guys!

Scooter is supper fun! Love riding it for sure! The app doesn't work though. Update it.

I like the app. I had no problem connecting to the scooter. It has a nice layout.
