- if an app is already shown in the list of recently opened apps, you should first close it. Then execute it again.
- starting with Android version 4.2.2 and higher the app is shown during its run
- if your widget style is not updated, try to change the orientation or restart your launcher
- some launcher can hide app in drawer

If you are looking for something to hide an app's visibility, and thus impossible for unwanted viditors to know it is there, then this is not what you are looking for. This app hides your app's recent active history from appearing on the "recent list"(hold down the "home" button for Android). This function, though it works, is useless for most users.
does exactly what it claims. Interestingly, this was the only workaround I found for the faulty push notification system on honor 8 - I just made all the important communication apps auto-launch and stay in the background(otherwise no notifications), while also hiding them from recent apps so that they don't interfere with my activity - when I need them, I can access them from the widgets. Thank you indeed!

Worst app to download.wasted my time for it. dont download it and waste your time its just a laucher and could not hide apps.
Instead of hiding the app in recent apps, it kills the app you choose everytime you leave the app at background. Somehow i lost my reading footage everytime i left my books background, and yea the app doesn't show up in recent apps list...

I can only open the app through this, it doesn't hide anything. If there are steps that have to be followed in a particular order, provide proper references.
All those who said that this app is crap and stuff like that, please read the description carefully. It says it hides app from recent app list, not from the launcher. Well done, the app does what it says.... excellent app compede.
I can see the app list, but can't check any app to proceed. I've tried with 2 mobiles, the issue remains.
You have to add a widget of this app and select your secret app, then it puts an icon on your screen and if you start it with that, then it won't appear in recent apps. Great! Unfortunately it doesn't work with my new phone Realme X2 pro - Android 10.

It's very useful aap. However, sometimes it shows the application in recent. And it's not permanently, if mobile restarted, we need to run it again for the take place. Needed to work on it..

Don't always work some apps just won't hide and there for when clearing resents a apps notification icon will disappear as well. MSecure5 is just that one. This could be because of MSecure5 and not this apps fault.
Does exactly what it says.. provided a way to launch an app so it ends when you exit and doesn't show in recently used list. No more.. no less. No root. Works for that use case only where you don't want trace that you used the app in recent used list. The other hide apps didn't do this for me.

I read the instructions, they were unclear. But I was able to get the app to work by using the app to create a widget. It worked well for a while. I tried the same thing with another app it didn't work at all. I downloaded the shortcut version it worked but the widget version stopped working. It's a great idea. I hope the developers can fix it. I'm keeping it only with the hope that an update will solve these issues.
