Hide pictures with LockMyPix

Nice app with a few minor exceptions. First it's too easy to refresh the screen, and why would you need to to begin with? so if you select items and then accidentally pull too far down it refreshes and uncheck all your selections. The other thing that I wish the app would have is a more disguised entry screen like other apps use. When you are first presented with a password unlock, it raises questions. The app allows you to change the icon but it should have some kind of covert login screen to, in my opinion. Other than that it seems like a very stable and usable app.

I just downloaded the app and really like it so far. It would be 5 stars but there are just a few things I'm struggling with. When I am in a folder, I am unable to exit the folder without leaving the app entirely. I should be able to but something is glitching. Also, when I place photos in the app they come in rotated differently. All in all, though, the app is designed well and does exactly what I need it to do.

Great app, good for travel use, where you can store all the important stuff encrypted in case you need it. I give it 3 stars because there's one issue with it, which I've contacted support about and have never been fixed since the July. They've promised me it'll be fix with the next release, and several releases have passed and it's still not fixed. Taking a photo with this app, Google Photo will also pick up the photo and subsequently backs it up on cloud, unencrypted. Only remedy so far is to take the photo with wifi off (so the cloud backup doesn't happen), then delete the photo off Google Photo before it has a chance to upload it.

Nothing much to say, it is better than any of the other apps that do the same thing, and that by miles. Only thing I feel is yet missing, is that you can import whole folders with their names and they then get added to the Vault, instead of having to recreate all folders and adding all the contents to them, because when you have a lot of subfolders for organising things like me, it takes a lot of work to add it all, and if you then unlock it, it doesn't put it back into the respective folders.

Great app, lot's of useful features. Contacted support, they were very helpful and fast at responding to a series of emails regarding transferring data from old phone to new one. *Tip- When transferring data make sure to use the exact same password as on your old device when setting up new lockmypix app on new phone and restoring from a backup you made on your old device. Otherwise it won't work because all the data is encrypted and won't transfer over without the old password.)

Good app, but using the built-in video player sometimes doesn't display the drag to seek forwards/backwards button on some videos, which is major issue. I'd use an external player instead, but then there's a really bizarre 'preparing playback' long loading screen to deal with, which again is not ideal. Why is this necessary? Other vault apps don't have this problem. I would also prefer to at least have the option to disable volume and brightness gestures in the internal video player.

I can tell this is a truly a well-designed apps plus with a very legit security features. A very recommended apps that come with great customer support. I don't think you can get this kind of a deal from any other similar apps. Please keep updating the apps from time to time, and as a user, we will support a great apps that come with great features with the right price. 👍👍👍👍👍

Brilliant app! Nice interface and album organisation capability. Can create folders and sub folders. Support is great. The duplicate removal facility saves space and can remove duplicates within folders only, or in the whole collection. Only one other app I know lets you choose folders and it is terrible. Well done! Truly worth the payment for the premium facility which I have used for more than 2 years. Free version is great too! Wish I could give more stars.

Update: The application now functions as well as it used to after updating to a Pixel 6 Pro running Android 12. Might have something to do with the lack of expandable memory, but either way this issue was solved, and I love every bit of the functionality of this app. Old review: Horrifically slow after Android 11 update, it takes 1-2 seconds per photo to lock even though I'm using internal storage, whereas before it could go through 10-20 photos in one second.

Absolutely effortless to use. I like the look of it and appreciate how easy it is to organise my pictures into named folders. I use it solely for photos. Support is amazing, was unsure how to best xfer content to a new phone and they contacted me quickly and explained just how easy it is to do. So glad I found this app.

It's good, though there are issues. Sorting pictures, for instance, doesn't work right. Sometimes one specific picture will keep its position no matter how you sort, and sometimes the order just wont update at all.

Doesn't upload in order, and doesn't always delete photos after upload. In fact, it scatters the photos across your library. Meaning you have to search for them manually in order to delete them. It's a huge bug and defeats the purpose of the app.

I paid for this after 30 seconds of owning the 3 day free trial. I am not a fan of Android putting all content of my sd card onto the Gallery. This app does exactly what you would hope for pics and vids! As soon as you import the pic or vid. It will remove automatically from the Gallery! Theres a slight glitch in app on the import screen. when you import the pics or vid, sometimes on the import screen the content doesn't disappear BUT DOES on the Gallery screen where it matters.

I'd give 5 stars if I had an option to cast my videos to TV. I really like the picture slid show feature, smooth. I've tried just about every app in the play store. This one by far is the best. Thank you. But PLEASE, add cast feature

CANNOT ACCESS AFTER HIDE APP AS CALENDAR. Pro User here. Use it for more than a year with no problem. After changing the app default photo with calendar as a disguise, I can no longer access my photo even after keyed in correct pattern Sent email to support with video as reference. For now i reserve only 2 stars until problem solve. Edited to 5 stars for lightning response from support team. Problem solved with minimal fuss and i'm back as happy user. Thanks a lot.

Works well and has good features. I just wish you could close an image using the back button. Thanks for the reply Roman, but that doesn't work. I can bring up my back button, but it doesn't do anything. The only way to close an image is to press the back button in the top left corner of the screen.

I have been using the app for the past few years and it's a great app, until recently when it locked me out of my photos by not accepting my password. And every time I try resetting the password, it gives me my same password which means i haven't entered it wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally satisfactory. Not overly complex but extensive settings require time to figure out and some functions are found through exploration only. Procedure isn't intuitive enough.

Smooth, pleasant to use, and makes the user feel safer about their privacy. Overall a great app if you value having something more reliable than just your lockscreen, or if you have some pictures you'd rather not have anyone else see. Definitely recommended

I'm not sure what to think. Been using this pro version for a long time but found another app that I thought was better. So I installed it and paid for the premium version. Turns out...it's the same app as this one - same author also, but different app name. What's the difference between this and Privary????? Looks like I paid twice for the same exact app. Sounds fishy unless the dev can offer a comparison or reasonable explanation.

I had previously left a bad review because features I had paid for didn't work on my phone. Now that I have a more modern phone everything works perfectly. I highly recommend buying this app if you need to store confidential material. Just make sure you don't forget the password, you might never get your pictures back

Password won't work... I paid for the super version of the app. (about 20.00) I changed my phone and the app says invalid password. I went through the steps to get the password and it shows the I have the correct password. Sent a email to the developer and no response.. Poor app. Poor service

Disguising the app to look like another app is good but if i choose for the icon to be a Notepad app icon for example then when i first click on it an actual functional notepad should appear and not a request for my Vault passcode. If someone else is on my phone and wants to use the notepad or calculator or whichever and they tap the wrong 1 then they know immediately that im hiding something.

No option to remove this app from the android Share dialogue. So if I hide the apps icon as something else in the tray but then I go to some app and press share, the lockmypix app and icon appear in the list. I don't want it in there, please allow me to remove it, thanks. Other than that the app works well.

One of the best photo lockers I've come across, glad I got it when I did! One of the best looking ones too, just material-ish unlike other ones I've gotten where they have ugly locks and themes.. only thing I wish is that you had the option to backup to external place like Drive.. other then that love it

Very nice interface .animations are too classy and beautiful . But this app doesn't have any cloud backup option .if i have uninstalled it then my all work would go away .so please add a cloud backup option for the help of the customers over the world .
