Hieroglyph Flash Cards

Nothing like this available anywhere else! The best thing to learn and understand the hieroglyph alphabet! One suggestion I have to the developers is to add a "view previous" or "view last" button, as sometimes I will accidentally click on the answer before getting a chance to grasp the glyph and it's translation. This gets especially frustrating when in bilateral or trilaterals and it's a long time before the last hieroglyph presents itself again. I feel such a feature will help enormously :)

I have been using Damien's other apps and find them a very valuable tool in helping me translate hieroglyphic text. When I retired I made learning more a full time hobby. Memorizing transliterations has been hard. I knew of this app, but always thought it was a game. I finally downloaded and tried a few tests. I was shocked! I know more than I had ever imagined. The program has the typical Damien quality but the system is a powerful tool to learning. 10 * thank you guys for your hard work!

If only there were more cards that could help with those advancing their knowledge into higher, more academic levels of this beautiful language! It is wonderful for anyone interested in learning the most common, basic glyphs. I completely recommend this app for the casual enthusiast on up to the budding Egyptologist.

Best app I've seen to start learning Middle Egyptian. However, the pronunciation component is missing. It would be great if the user could hear the symbols' sound.

Fantastic app and lovely, clear depictions. I would love to see the Arabic alphabet added for reference, so I can understand each sound better.

Easy to use and an excellent way to learn to recognise the hieroglyphs and the transliteration. I wish I could print from the pictures.

Super useful, no bugs, very accurate. I memorized over 100 hieroglyphs in an hour using this, and it's great for brushing up.

Love this app. !!! Has monoliterals,biliterals and triliterals. Has quiz mode and also slide show mode. In color also.

Very very easy to use. Doesn't take up much memory. I like that you can set it at different levels.

Almost perfect! Seems to be at least one error i think? (F16 Horn is "db", should be "Ayin-b") great app though!

Really like it. Thanks for the hard work you must have put into it. I like the Uni test it's short enough to learn. However, the bi and tri lists are so long I can't learn them all at once. Perhaps u could add a way to for users to select a subset of glyphs to be tested on. Thanks again.

I thought that this program is brilliant at doing exactly what it is meant to do - It gives a great rundown of the basic uniliteral, biliteral, and triliteral sets! The obvious next step would be adding a selection of the most comon determinants:)

Okay let me just say that this app is awesome. It helps so much for someone studying the Egyptian language! Paired with the Hieroglyph Dictionary from the same developer, it is a flawless study tool. I would totally recommend this app to anyone interested in learning more about Egypt & Egyptian language. Thanks!!

Very good app, visually appealing, it would be good if it started with a sideshow of new hieroglyphs before launching into flashcards, also if it would show you the right answer immediately when you get it wrong, otherwise you just guess and tap all the options without memorising what's correct, also audio of what the sound is would be fab!!!

This is very good app to learn alphabet of Egyptian hieroglyphs and after finishing learning you can made test for yourself, thanks for yours app and hope you to continue

I was totally in the process of creating my own app, but this app already does everything I was planning to do with mine - and more! So glad someone has finally created such a useful app for memorizing Egyptian Hieroglyphs!
