Make a Claim – lodge a claim instantly for a host of Extras health services including acupuncture, chiro, general dental, homeopathy, myotherapy, naturopathy, occupational therapy, optical, osteo, physio, remedial massage, speech therapy and traditional Chinese medicine.
Mobile Claims – in this section, you’ll find a record of all previous Extras claims lodged through this app.
Claims History – access your full claims history for all Hospital, Medical and Extras claims lodged on this Membership.
‘My Membership’ section:
My Policy – view your policy details, current premium and paid-to-date, plus all persons covered on your Membership.
Contact Details – view and update your email address, phone number, home address and postal address.
Membership Cards – need to order a new HIF Member card? Just hit the ‘Request’ button and we’ll pop a new one in the mail for you.

I used the old app for years - was fantastic. it stopped working last year so I tried uninstalling and got this new version. this one won't even load properly - it freezes on the first page. Hopeless! Please sort it out HIF, as I live rural and it used to be very convenient to lodge my claims via the app!! Thanks!!
The original H HIF Smartclaim app hasn't been working for some weeks (after always being reliable) so I thought to uninstall and reinstall. The Smartclaim app has disappeared from Play store. This app I can't log into as it repeatedly says it can't connect to the server. Struggling to find an easy way to make claims.
Useless app that doesn't let me change my address. It tells me to save before I leave, but the only button on the screen is to cancel changes. I can't make a claim with the app because it freezes every time
New app doesn't work at all. I agreed to the T&C, it said "logged out", then took me to the main screen which indicates I'm signed in, because it says "Hello Garry". Tapping on any of the 4 main buttons or the menu/padlock does absolutely nothing. Can't press back to exit app, only exit back to my launcher/home screen. Old app was way better.
I do not normally leave reviews, however I am disappointed with the updateds HIF app. I like the previous verson better because you could give your claim a reference instead of getting the random one from HIF. It also appears that if you have multiple people on the same invoice you can only selection one person.
Doesn't work. An error pops up when trying to upload a claim photo: upload error, try again later. It never does work. Pointless app, and no sign of feedback either. The app is as good as their service: dreadful.
Frustrating!! Surely you can build an app that works with my fees alone for the last 2 years? I have to uninstall and re-install everytime I need to make a claim. Show me something for my hard earned on pointless health insurance.
Attempted login with same credentials as web site, says "forbidden". Can't use the app. Edit: a year later I have tried it again and no change. USELESS.
I lodged a claim two weeks ago, it hasn't been processed. I cannot view or do anything in the app now, it will open but nothing more. I've uninstalled and reinstalled three times over recent days still nothing.
Second claim always hangs on submission. Hitting back closes the loading dialogue but then no buttons work and I have to kill the app.
The apps does not work at all! Able to login and that's it. Nothing works. No response. Just frost.
No longer uploads - you fill in all the details then won't submit. Previous version worked well.
uninstalled and reinstalled from playstore NUMEROUS TIMES. This has to be the most unreliable app Ive ever needed to use.
Had issues recently where I couldn't submit claims; just uninstalled and reinstalled and now it's working.
Sadly not working on Android 12. Stuck loading after attempting to login.

The old version kept you logged in and didn't require 4 tick boxes indicating the same permissions before processing a claim. If the purpose of the latest update is to raise clients blood pressure with having to log in every time and to make the claims process so annoying people don't bother using it. Congratulations to the development team. A job well done. You broke a perfectly good app for no positive benefit.
