So far I've loved this app. Used it for two sessions and its been great. I have a few suggestions though and I'll change my review to a 5 star when I see these things fixed: 1. Let us add our own sounds and music. 2. Give an option to start music at 0 volume so that its not as sudden when we start it.
This is a good app. what would make it so much better would be if there was a menu where you could play certain effects in secession of another in a single button push. for example: Magic Missle. Being able to set it where you can trigger the [sound -> quantity:speed = [(3x):Rapid] then trigger a following 'hit' sound say: [ice: 3x: rapid]]. All that set up in one push rather then having to button mash combos. Also being able to trigger multiple sounds 'at once' would be awesome for this menu
I mainly use it for the music but the sounds are spot on also. one thing I would add though is maybe a widget on the home screen that has a favorites playlist queued up and you can play, pause, or skip from. but overall this is a great app.
I initially thought this didn't have a favorites list, but it's the heart. I thought this was to prompt to rate the app at first. The icon could use a touch-up, maybe add a plus sign to show it would "add a favorite"? Great sound samples though.
Really good quality sounds for anyone interested in fantasy or otherwise, I think it's worth the effort of the people who developed this app and they may need to add some more Vampire stuff but they don't have to, but overall it is a fantastic experience with the correct audio for games
Um.. So, this is basically an interface to organize all of the public domain sounds I just downloaded last week. :/ I've got two problems. First, neither the LOOP or the MUSIC categories loop by default. Second, the handfull of loops I DID try seem to have like a six second silence tacked on to the end. Is this a feature??
Lmao listening to the sounds on their own is ASMR, you gotta fiddle with the settings a bit. Some of its a bit cheesy, but its easily fixable by changing pitch or volume. Thankfully the developer has given the user an interface to easily further customise sounds of ambience, combat and much more!
While the UI takes some time getting used to, it's great! There's probably no better sound app for creating atmosphere in classic fantasy and also a very specific flavor of sci-fi (Warhammer 40,000 with some Star Trek sounds sprinkled in). I'll be using this in my Wrath & Glory campaign! One thing I'd like is some more ambience especially in the sci fi setting, like Manufactorum or something.
This is GREAT, love the loop and mixer, just wish you could find tune the mixer to time delay a sound or group of sounds. But ofc I can wait. This has levelled up our campaigns ! Thanks. Plus being able to use some as notifications and ringtones just makes for a blinding bonus! WAAGGGH
Convenient UI and a pretty good mix of sounds! One suggestion would be to make the buttons toggles with a visual indication of what's playing. Pressing once to fade off (like the mixer) and again to completely silence it.
Some useful stuff, but not much that a DM couldnt record off of a tv show. It needs more 5e/RPG geared sounds. There's literally a list of instruments, in the equipment section of the player's handbook, you could add sounds for.
Decent app with a lot of choices for sounds, problem is all them sound like them were recorded on a phone 20 years ago. I appreciate the time and work put into the app, but sadly I wouldn't recommend it.
When they say a song plays endlessly they really mean it. Even when I use the mixer - it keeps playing... EVEN when I turn off the App - it keeps playing. It finally stopped when I uninstalled. That fixed it. Fixed it real good,
As a tabletop companion app, this is great. I can save lists of favorite sounds and music, change the volume mix as they overlap, and there's great variety in the effects available.
Easy to use, but I wasn't a fan of most of the Sounds in the music. That's my own personal preference, but to me it sounded like a lot of the sounds were ripped from RPG Maker. I am still going to give the app a try in an actual game and see how it goes over.
Pretty good, would be nice to have crossfade as some clips halt suddenly. Also would be nice to have higher quality sound clips or ability to add your own clips.
really great app. I too wish you could record and save sounds to add to the list. I would happily pay for this feature. some sounds are kinda cheesy. 9/10
Has a pretty good selection of sounds, and they are neatly categorised. Most of the creature sounds have a lot of static though, which can ruin the immersion
I had various soundboard apps in the past and they worked ok, but I started to DM a new campaign so I decided to try something new. Upon exploring the app I found all kinds of sounds I could use, especially background and loop sounds because they work great to set the atmosphere for a scene. I have yet to run the campaign with this app but cannot wait to do so with its wide selection of sounds and ease of use compared to other apps!
