Love this app! It makes working out HIIT style so much easier. I don't constantly have to be looking at my watch or setting alarms. I can just focus on my music and the exercise. The voice tells you when to GO and REST. You set the number of rounds, seconds of rest, and seconds of work. Plus the "Congratulations you have completed your workout" at the end is always nice.
I have used this app for several years and liked it very much. However, this morning I discovered it has been updated and all my saved presets were erased. The volume was also set to maximum, which was not appreciated by my wife who was still sleeping. Appears to be a case of "fixing" something that wasn't broken. I'm running Android 9 on a Galaxy S10e. I've also noticed that the volume level is no longer saved between sessions.
This app used to be fine but recently it has been glitching. I use it for running and it doesn't switch between the intervals sometimes. for example I take it out of my pocket to check and the second the app wakes up it suddenly catches up and says 'rest' or 'go' but it's actually well behind. seems to be an error with it running in the background. used to be perfect and there hasn't been an update in a while so perhaps it isn't keeping up with new android updates. shame as I cant rely on it.
This timer is great! I like that you can save timers and that you can rewind or fast forward an internal during the workout. It's worth paying for ad-free! I like the voice trainer, he's very motivating, and I look forward to his congratulations at the end of the workout! Only wish you could program circuits. Right now you just have to finish and start over.
I have been happily using this for years (paid version). But not I've noticed a bug: the volume no longer is persistent when I change apps. For example, I start a workout in a quiet room, then the volume way down using the slider, switch to another app, and when I return, the volume had reset back to loud. This is repeatable. I'm using a pixel 4a.
This is a simple yet very effective interval timer. I was going to spend over $100.00 on a wall timer, but this is less complicated and the voice and countdown modes are nice and loud so you dont have to look at the clock during your intense workout. No fumbling with buttons or programs on a remote. Just put in your prep time, work time, rest time, rounds and cool down and GO! I HIGHLY recommend this app! its perfect and better yet you save A LOT of money! Enjoy!
used this app for years with hardly any issues. recently had problems with it not running in background and update was released to fix this. since update today my saved workouts have gone and the interface is weird. the numbers are huge so when you reach 10 it can't fit in the total rounds anymore, and the function buttons are tiny making it harder to press the right one. but main issue is that the sound won't play through headphones, only the phone speaker so I have to keep watching the screen
Even when I disable sounds this app keeps paying them. I am forced to turn media sounds off. This needs to be fixed. Update: I give up on this app! Not only do they ignore the no sound, now they added a vibrate that you can't turn off. I am finding a new app and deleting this one. Too bad because I really loved it before this change.
New Update Today is a Fail! I've been using this app for 1+ yrs. But tonite brought a newly updated app that is terrible: the numbers on the face of the timer are incredibly small; the actual timer numbers on the working screen are huge (causing the user NOT to be able to see all 6 segments on their phone screen); and the volume is NOT responding to increasing or decreasing the volume button. PLEASE FIX! Until then, I have to find a new HIIT timer to use.
Yes it's basic but I like this app overall. Need ability to delete individual items in history. Also, the time given in history is often very incorrect. For example, today my exercise took about 23 minutes. When I was done I hit pause. Later, when I ended the exercise, the time tracked in history was 78 minutes. I understand that the time was still counting while paused but the actual start of the exercise was only about 63 minutes prior, not 78.
I've been using the timer for years and enjoy it, but as many have said, it doesn't work in the background anymore. The timer will stop running properly and will not notify you when it does. The option to use built in Android notification sounds would also solve many users sound choice frustrations.
Run everyday I downloaded this app to try it after switching phones. Super easy to setup and use, however when the screen is off the timer is erratic. I was doing 30/60s just to try it out. I would be halfway into my "rest" cycle before it would buzz me to stop my run cycle. If this was fixed, would be a great app for HIIT. On Android (OnePlus 7Pro).
Horrible. SO annoying because SOMETIMES it tells me when to work and when to rest and SOMETIMES it doesnt...so I'm sitting here doing jump rope for 2 minutes longer than I was supposed to...and I hate pulling my phone out of my pocket every 2 minutes during a run because I dont know if it randomly stopped or if it switched from "work" to "rest" without telling me I'm done with this app. Uninstalling right now. Good luck.
I've been using this app for around 5 years with no problems, why has it suddenly started to make the 3 sec. countdown timer very quiet. It is a fraction of the volume of the start/stop/finish sound. It is intensely frustrating! Please rectify this! I will happily give a good review if this issue is sorted quickly!
Great app, but it was better before the last update, because now it has the same sound when it starts as the sound on work/rest rounds witch can be confusing if you are using prep time option. Would be nice if it could be changed like it was before or start sound be something different.
I have no sound with this app. Otherwise, it is amazing. But unusable without sound. Have turned all my setting up- notifications, sound n such. Volume icon green, still silent. Hopefully u can find the reason. Best app I have found visually, but without sound. Uninstalled and installed, seems to have volume again. Hope it stays that way. Now 5 stars
Used to work perfectly well. I usually have at least my music app open and on screen, more likely my workout sheet in Word or Runkeeper open as well. When it's not the primary app on the screen, and I think sometimes when the phone screen sleeps, it is unreliable in letting you know your internal.is starting or over. No longer a trustworthy timer. I use a Samsung Galaxy Note S9
Inconsistent. I've used this app for several years and generally like it. Lately though, I'm having a problem. when I'm using the app I'm unable to toggle out of it to other apps, such as looking at the clock, changing music, et cetera. This was not always the case. I'm considering deleting it and trying something new.
Buggy. I used this for ages and recent updates basically broke the timer notifications. Sometimes they're going to sound. Sometimes it will only when I turn the screen back on, wondering why the timing seems overly long. And half the other round will be gone.
Not sure what happened. Used it for years. Now, after 2 or 3 rounds, it stops beeping. I noticed it would immediately beep upon unlocking my phone. As it is now, one of the most useless apps of all time. I have a galaxy note 8. Uninstalling now.
Hands down the absolute best app for boxing. I have been using it for years and still use it as my go to. It's simple and does its job well. I paid for the ads removal and it's totally worth it to support the dog. Hats off to my favorite boxing timer.
Inconsistent: Have used this app since 2018. It used to work fine and I loved it. Now it's inconsistent with the set times and alerts that I set.
I love it. The intervals are easy to set according to my preference. There are no adverts to disturb you, allowing you to work out without any interruption. The app also allows you to share your work out time sessions with others.
This WAS my favorite HIIT app. After a recent update, I'm having an issue with the vibration feature. I have it turned off but it still vibrates. I turn the vibration on then off again and it stays off for that workout but I have to do that very time. Very annoying ! Please address this little bug !
When you bring up the navigation buttons on Android, the notification panel drops down and you can't see the top of the app. This obscures the pause button and won't allow it to be pressed. Sometimes I have to pause to explain. Loved this app for years.. so it's disappointing to have these issues
