it's a nice game, with good visuals and nice gameplay. But there are a few things that disappoint me. 1. It doesn't bring anything new to the lore or the story. I expected to see interesting details about creatures, something I didn't know or just didn't catch from the original show. Or at least more variety from elfs and vittras. Dialogues become pointless after third time you meet them. 2. When you check stats if items in the shop, music stops and starts again. Annoying. Thus minus 2 stars.
This is a great game! Really fun. The only reason I don't rate it a full 5 stars is because of the ads that randomly pop up. As long as you complete any kind of purchase, it becomes ad free. This seems like a pretty quick way to lose interest. It seems easy to solve...make the base game ad free and just add in special items that are paid exclusives. There is already the rainbow plant and food set. More of the same seems like a good idea! If anything else, its a bit slow.
This game captures the magic and wonder of the show. There's not a lot to do in one session of playing, but it encourages patience, planning, and revisiting the game throughout the day to discover something new. I think the values of the show fit with this minimalism. So far there's no pressure to make purchases - I can play the game for free. I don't get any impression that purchases are necessary for success, which I appreciate (though after having so much fun in a game I like to make a purchase to support the creators). So far I feel that the rewards are spaced out well enough for a game that is so slow, and I feel like coming back. I like that it's not an interruption or distraction from my day but I still get a dose of the charming visual world, and I get excited each time something new visits. I look forward to additional features as I level up and updates are released.
For anyone hestiant on getting the game, I'd say go for it; it's cute, simple, and enjoyable! There aren't too many ads, and it's NOT pay to win- You can level up and unlock areas of the map just by playing. The art is lovely and meeting new creatures is fun. Just one thing: I understand it's meant to be the type of game you just check on occasionally during downtime, but it would be nice if there was more to do in it, such as more minigames with rewards alongside the card game with Hilda.
So Cute! I Love It! The gameplay is straight forward and intuitive. The controls are easy to master even for small children for supervised phone time. The graphics are quite similar to the TV show. But. Please. Look into the graphic novels at your local book store to see the original design of Hilda and how it has evolved, even in its short lifespan. I do reccomend it!
i like the graphics, animations, but it loads very long and often crashes on my phone, with some side effects, so i gave up. also i don't like the system of buying lots of items for money. also i would like to have possibility to pause (not miss anything because you need to sleep). would like more tips/hints because some features are not explained.
I really like the show and this game! The art style is so cute and translated to a pretty unique experience. I like the addition of more places to meet the people and creatures, I just wish there was a bit more variety to the dialogue or actions as you got to know them better (even if it was just one or two more lines or something like "Give favorite treat"/"scratch favorite spot"). But definitely worth playing, just don't forget to water your plants!
Cute game, and I enjoyed it as an idle sort of game, but after I unlocked a few zones, it became a bit tedious and time consuming. Acorn collection also slows down significantly once you start collecting materials, but nothing uses materials? The plants also die annoyingly fast, if I don't plan things perfectly then don't play right away, they die and I have to either start again, or pay premium currency to revive them. It feels like the game is punishing me for not playing for too long.
This is a great tie in game for the Netflix Hilda series. The art style and animation are very similar to the show which is one of the reasons I keep coming back for more. Gameplay is simple, place items and food. Take photos of the creatures that come to visit. No pressure to buy items, but gold acorns are not that common. Maybe impliment a acorn converter for the woodman. The adverts are a problem, even when the app is set to quiet the adverts all ways start with sound and are all videos too.
I love this show on Netflix and I love the idea of this game it's so cute, but a few things make this unplayable. there's an issue with the backpack and as others have reported, there's an issue with notifications/creatures. it says I have a new creature but when I go into the game there is nothing at all. So, to the developers/people responsible: PLEASE FIX THIS SOON. No one can play this until you do. It seems to have a lot of potential, but there is no way for us to progress like this :/
The game is so appealing, but quickly loses its luster. There is something really exciting about leaving your little gardens and waiting for a visitor to show. However, the spawns quickly become repetitive and honestly, once you've seen one woff, you've seen them all. More than this the controls are kinda unintuitive, often when dragging food to a creature I will have to do it twice. Sometimes I will tap on the food instead of dragging it because in the card game about dragons you tap.
I had a lot of fun playing this, I do love Hilda and it's creatures and characters, however, I did find a few animation errors while playing, if a character is holding an item like a book (mainly the nisses). Talking or giving them food can sometimes result an animation delay, the character will still be holding the item until you talk/fed them food. Another one is the canines' left leg looking like they don't stick to the body, but that's me nitpicky. other than that, it's great to kill time
The control were great and the animations are beautiful. Woffs are especially cute! The little twirl they do later is just ❤️. But, the notifications don't work too well. I missed many creatures because I didn't get a notification. A 'sleep' mode would be helpful as I missed a lot of creatures when I slept. Another annoying thing is how often I have to "check up on" the app so often. Kinda gets boring after a while.
I gave this a go for more than a week since I really enjoy the show and art style but found it lacking. The dialogue with the characters is repetitive and pretty much just quotes from the show, the notifications are sporadic or not even there at all even with full permissions granted so it's near impossible to keep plants alive since there's such a short window before they die, and no way to revive them if they do. All in all my main issue is that it just isn't rewarding enough for the effort you put in.
Seems my last review disappeared! This game is easy to play, beautiful graphics and many of the known loved characters from the series make many appearances. Can be played both on and offline. There are a few ads but unlike other f2p you can ignore them or buy a small box of golden acorns and then all the ads go! I would like to ask if there is a way the notifications could come a bit earlier for watering the plants as it comes when they have half a drop left and sometimes can't always get to it
This is a really sweet game. I'm really enjoying it. I have taken a star away as there have been a few occasions when a new creature has appeared and the picture taken of it doesn't register, so the game thinks you haven't seen it. When you restart the app the creature has disappeared. Very frustrating when it was a rare/special creature that came.
Hilda creatures is an adorable game, jusy like the show, the animations when you interact with the various creatures is enough to make my heart explode saying that... The game has a lot of ads. Both optional ads to earn more money, and forced ads (which can be removed for a one time fee) While playing, I felt forced to watch the optional ads, or fork out money just to get anywhere in the game. The gameplay feels very repetitive after a day, each creature has the same animations and dialogue
i like the concept of dipping in and out of this game. There is an annoying bug where if i open the game from the notification, it forgets I've turned off the music and sound effects, even though they are still checked off in the settings. ETA: with the new dravon card update, the sound effects play even though i have sounds turned off.
I ADORE the show and game so much!! Simple, fun, ads aren't too terribly intrusive. 12/10 stars! I did experience a bug, however, (with screenshots as proof). Wood Man gave me a blank quest objective (with a 0/50 counter underneath). There was no quest text, even after I closed and reopened the game. I just quit the quest, but I figured I would let y'all, the game devs, know. Your game is amazing, and can only get better! :D
The game is pretty fun once you get into it. It's awesome getting to see familiar creatures and ones I've never seen in the world of Hilda. Some issues with the ads though. Random pop up ads play fine, but when the game asks "watch an ad for bonus acorns" the ad dosen't work, it trys to load but shows black where the ad should be. If I exit the ad I get no reward and the game is frozen on the bonus gift screen till I fully close then reopen the game.
I love this cute game so much! The only problem is that I dont get notifications when I'm off the app, so I end up forgetting to check the monsters and missing them. The notifications appear in the game as soon as I open the app, but by then it's too late. Never had an issue with notifications before, and maybe it's just a small bug. It'd be great if ya fix it! Then it would be the perfect game!
This is super great it's a really fun enjoyable game! Only reason I rate it 4 stars is because it takes soo long to get a new creature there is alot of waiting involved in the game which makes it kind of boring sometimes. I also find it annoying that the creature come and go since I want to talk to certain ones but sometimes they are hard to get come back and it's annoying to wait all the time for certain creatures again if you want to hang with them. :/ super fun really beautiful design though
Limited dialogue options. Nothing separates a character from another in the same class apart from their design : all elves, all Vittras, all Nisse have the same interactions. Higher friendship levels don't unlock anything. Characters don't really interact with the objects. There's both much to do and nothing to do, as you have to go to every area to talk to the creatures and the whole thing get really repetitive. Too often when you click no to an ad you'll see one anyway right after.
