Ive hosted my podcast on here for two years and I suddenly cant add a new episode of it. I have the app as well but nothing's working. Ive contacted support but am still waiting for a response. Very disheartening since Ive gladly used this site for my production
Was great until it wiped all of my podcasts that I had followed off and won't work to sign me in after I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This is the 2nd time I've had an issue like this. Not worth the headache.
Good app I like some podcast but there is an issue in the app, when my Bluetooth is on sometimes app opens by itself, example, I am talking on the phone using Bluetooth in my car and suddenly stop listening the other person cause app opens and plays last podcast I was listening or I'm listening music with Bluetooth headphones and suddenly music stops and app opens and start playing podcast is so annoying, sometimes I got a text message and THE APP OPENS and play podcast!!!!! Drives me crazy!!!
Love the content. so convenient. packed with high quality mandarin and english books. Listening while travelling become super convenient.
Avoid this app! They will use the access you give them to your phone to sign you up for their paid plan without notifying you that you're being charged. They don't even ask for your card info
I have paid one year membership fee on Oct. 2021, they asked me to pay again on Nov. , they resolved the issue one day after. Today they ask me again to renew my membership fee. I am wondering if they will ask me every month!
Very disappointing app, paid for the subscription and could not access the vip materials. Contacted the support team, could not get the problem resolved.
Himalaya charged me on 11/2/22 and for following 2 weeks I could not have the full access. After trying everything, I wrote to the customer support email add, stated my issue, gave my sign in details and UID no., attach images to show my problem. The staff just asked me if i needed to unsubscribe. I asked if i'll get a refund if unsubscribe. Then she said cannot help me without an order no. The issue is solved eventually, but I really think the customer service has a huge room for improvement.
So I'm having these issues. But upon reading the reviews, I found out that I'm certainly not alone. Paid on 17th April 21, knocked out of account, log in few months later, found out whole membership gone. it's like the app doesn't recognise my account, like my email is completely stranger and new to the application itself. Very strange and bizarre. Have been using lots of other app as well and none of these ever happen. Would like see how the support team respond and solve this issue.
Liked the app and used it for long time. However, An update ruined my membership and libraries. It took me several weeks to get the help from the supporters - I was being ignored probably due to the support load or something else. They finally refunded my membership. But I really hated that it took so long to get this problem settled especially it's obvious problem from their server update. 3 stars given all things I experienced
I loved until twice I lost access to my membership that I payed $70 for. The first time customer service finally fixed the glitch but it just happened again. My membership isn't over until June 2022 and it's still February. Tried to get in touch with customer service a few times and haven't heard a thing. Loved loved loved the content but it's not working.
I have paid the yearly subscription but the app keeps telling yo subscribe. Pls assist. I havr emailed 2 days ago but no one replied me. Tks
When sorting all the shows that I follow, sort by "updated" puts the oldest show at the top of the list then the newer shows. It should be the other way around!
Up until recently Himalaya has been amazing. Intuitive interface and huge number of podcasts. Recently I have experienced lots of problems... not picking up latest episodes of podcasts I follow, not removing podcasts I have unfollowed from my library, and randomly removing a podcast from my followed library when I attempted to unfollow a DIFFERENT podcast. Beginning to think I may need to use a different podcast app.
I've tried just about all of the free podcast players on Google and this one ranks right at the top. Beautiful UI, seamless playback, and a seemingly unending catalog of podcasts. The only thing I could ask for is the ability to import rss feeds by URL, a sound equalizer, and for it to have more social integration. (Update: I keep having issues with podcasts not updating. I've had to email them twice and both times it was fixed. But its frustrating and I won't be using this from now on.)
This is a really great podcast app and for the most part, I really enjoy using it. However, there are some improvements that could help a lot: when I use the app via Bluetooth in my car, the sound switches back to my phone whenever I get a text, then I have to switch it back to bluetooth audio. It also stops playing when I turn my screen off. Could you please look into it?
The app itself works nicely. Features I'd like to see are filter options for browsing. Right now you can only view by genre, top-rated or trending. I'd like to be able to refine my top-rated browsing by genre. I would also like to be able to browse by what updated today. Now for the bugs. The most annoying one is that I can't get rid of the player on the notice bar. I have to force close the app every time. Also, it double downloaded? There are 2 icons but idk how much space it takes up.
Love the ease of finding any podcast I'm looking for. I like the ability to create lists and to find others' lists. However, it is very quirky and frustrating at times. Glitches when playing. Sometimes it just goes blank for minutes at a time. (Even if connected through wi-fi.) Now it refuses to even load. And there have been no updates or changes. Emailed Support this morning with no response yet. Should I not expect a same-day response?
I've searched high and low for a podcatcher and I've never been able to stay "this is perfect" till this app. The searching is amazing, the suggestions are amazing, want to hear a podcast in reverse order, no problems, want to use tags that don't appear in the titles but are still relevant, done. This app is the app you've been looking for, trust me!
I do like the app and UI but for some reason my podcasts (all of them) are skipping back 20 seconds or so at least once or twice every commute (usually between 30 and 45 minutes). That is kind of annoying. Also, I just got a new phone and it did that for me on iPhone as well as on my new Pixel 3XL. The iPhone native app that I used before switching to Himalaya didn't do that.
Stuck in download hell Nice looking, user friendly app but it's far perfect. This player definitely has potential but it's missing some key features. There's no way download progress bar. Only a tiny circle that you have to go into the app to see. Not to mention downloading takes FOREVER. Which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the automatic download feature actually worked. I unintalled when it took 10 minutes to download 90% then failed. I'm going back to Castbox.
I love this app EXCEPT one annoying thing: you can't change the playlist order after you make it, AND it plays in the opposite order from how you add the episodes! So if you add episodes 1, 2, 3, 4 to the playlist, you have no choice but to hear 4, 3, 2, 1! Please fix this bug - then it would be the perfect podcast app!
