I originally reviewed this app as 5 stars, but I am lowering it to 4. I don't have any major complaints, but it's very unintuitive and annoying that when you open a picture, then click download, and try to swipe back to go back the daily report screen, it closes the app. Please just let us swipe back out of things without closing the app.

This app does not allow me to upload multiple photos at once. It's really frustrating when you have eight photos and "collage" option doesn't work. I'm using a Galaxy A52.

Notifications don't always take you directly to the content you were notified about. And it seems like there are too many options for the care providers when detailing activities (i.e. free text entry instead of drop downs) which makes it confusing if the provider isn't consistent. otherwise great app.

the daycare is amazing. they keep me inform of changes of diaper, food, snacks, they send photos, videos. is an amazing app if they use it correctly. plus I can message the director or the director and the teacher. this app is amazing.

My children's daycare has chosen to use this app to communicate with me about my children. As a single father raising my children without their mother, I find the name of this app to be sexist. Fathers play a role in their children's lives and their care--even in a traditional man-woman marriage. The name of this app downplays the role of the father, and it's time to get with the times and update. #HiParent

We truly enjoy pictures of our grand daughter Astrid. Our hearts are filled with love and joy every time we get to see her! Thank you from her grand parents in Texas!!

HiMama is a great app. As a parent, I get updates, messages and photos directly from our daycare. This makes it easier to communicate back and forth on a regular basis, and to see how and what my children are learning, eating and playing!

"Check in", "notes" section is a bit finicky and sometimes page reloads and notes deleted before I have a chance to submit. Other than that, app is a great way to stay informed of what's happening throughout the day and good place to share pictures!

New update crashes all the time. I get stuck on many different pages and need to constantly close app and re open. Also stopped my printer from working from my phone. Not sure why but terribly annoying as I need it to work seamlessly for work.

Not user friendly. Latest update only allows me to see 1 page at a time. I literally have to close and click on the new notification to see a new "message" from teachers. A big pain now. This was not a problem until Jan. This no linger works on Google pixel 6 and galaxy s10+

I love this app. My daycare uses it and I LOVE the increase in communication and reminders. They are able to share pics of the kids during the day which has been such a treat. it makes me feel like I'm missing less moments in their day. This app is a must.

It's a good app to get updates on how a child does during the day. The UI is very rough when it comes to pictures. It would go a long way to be able to click on a picture and zoom in on it and pan the photo to see your child better without the app scrolling to the next or previous photo. That's my only real issue with the app. Otherwise it is pretty good. Edit: developer responded- thanks! Edit2: appears fixed!! Much nicer. Rating updated from 3 star.

Thank you for the hard work you put in to keep parents connected to their children. Performance is much better compared to a few months ago. A nice addition will be to enable searching the messages. This will be a huge help to everyone: educators and parents. So many threads get started because we can't search.

pics are great good quality, fast loading, easy to read and reply except not all info at bottom fits on phone, have to drag it up carefully since my home buttons on phone are there too.

I can't get over the old fashioned gender stereotyping of this app's name. If I had known my son's preschool was using it while we were evaluating schools, we probably would have gone somewhere else. I question the judgement of someone who would adopt this app as much as I do the company that makes it. Aside from that, the app works fine from my end, but I get the sense the teachers are annoyed by it since they are not consistent about using it.

Awful. My center just switched and I would rather opt out. The interface takes forever to load, is not intuitive at all, and there is no tutorial for new users. There are 2 versions of the app and no one seems to know which one I should use.. this version hasn't been updated since 2019?? Really?? Tadpoles was a far superior parent communication tool.

A great app. Love that I can communicate with the caregiver and see my kids activities while at work. Only improvement I would add is to have a photo album option to select multiple photos at once and then either transfer them or download all at the same time. Having to go into every individual photo and select it then either save or add it to an album is time consuming and could be more efficient. Make this adjustment and I'll give it five stars.

Very good and complete app. Tried several others, but kept coming back to HiMama. They are very interactive, and offer more than paperless documenting. Only downside, you can only upload one photo at the time, which becomes quite time consuming as I always put a collage of 3 to 4 pictures with each activity. If they manage to streamline this process, they would be perfect.

So far great experience with the app and it's integration with my babies daycare. As someone who likes to be in control, I feel rest assured knowing when my baby goes down for a nap, has a change of diaper and eats. The photos and video capabilities are also a huge plus! I only wish the app could tell me the times for meals (if it does, not sure how I can find it).

Used to be very good until it crashes all the time now mainly during the afternoon. I'll try and input something or write a message to a parent and it crashes. It's very frustrating to deal with lately when it's constantly crashing. Also I gave the recommendation over a year ago to fix back the interface on the programming page for phones to be able to zoom out to see the entire week. When I first started using the app I used to be able to see the entire week's worth of programming by zooming in

A great way to connect with my daycare provider and keep up with my kid's activities throughout the day. I like the image feature particularly. The comments second however is very small both in terms of screen real estate and text size, it is also unclear how to navigate to it initially. I didn't know the feature existed within the first few months of using HiMama. I would like to see an improvement in the UI in that part of the app to be more accessible.

It would be ideal to ask for comments and reviews after work, not during. Our primary focus is on the children and meeting tjeir needs. Asking for a review during work is disruptive. The app can be very slow sometimes, often resulting in inaccurate entries of info which needs to be edited ( a waste of time and source of frustration. We would also like the ability to enter better quality photos, video and the ability to arange thr collages in the sequence of events we as choose.

I thought I would be getting rid of my paper trail. NOT!! Happening. I still have to write down my notes then transfer to the computer at the end of the day. The app doesn't capture the data fast enough for me during the action taking place. I also can't be on the phone trying to enter data while caring for the children. I update during their naptime and again at 7 pm. After closing up.

From a parent perspective, I like it. I know the school would like some features simplified/ added so they do not use it to its full capabilities. But what they do use, works. We receive potty, mood and nap updates, photos, invoices, and have the ability to send a message to the teacher and/or director as needed.

I recently was having issues with seeing updates through the old app. I tried signing off and back on, but I still was getting the spinning wheel. Then I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Now I am back able to see updates. I am still waiting to see if notifications will come through properly via email and through the app. So far I like the layout and UI wayyy better. It is easier to understand

Great for parent communication. I just wish that children who were not present were also included on "activity" and "supplies" lists. The idea of documenting the children's different sickness types is great, but you can't document the different preset illness unless they are checked in. Most illnesses happen at home. I like how easy it is for parents and staff to "check-in" and the amount of paper we've saved. Photo journal is great, but wish you could upload more than one photo at a time.

Very frustrating. I downloaded the app as I'm very familiar with it from my old center. Go through the whole process of adding children and it tells me there's an error I scroll up to see where the error is and the form has been cleared and I have to start over again. Reenter all the info and then taken to a screen that's oops there's a boo boo and we're working on it. Spent an hour installing, uninstalling entering and reentering information.

The features in his app are great only if they work properly. I have it on my Axon ZTE on Android and once I go in the app I can't get out by touching the "back" button so once I go in I have to touch the "home" to get out. It doesn't show the contents updated most of the time immediately so overall not a great smooth running app.

I just love checking in on my granddaughter as she navigates through activities with her many friends. The teachers are very creative and involved. Thank you for being a safe place for my grandbaby!!!
