Tried the app and renting a scooter in Athens. The registration process was reasonably smooth but then I was unable to stop the rental and return the scooter. The app kept saying that can't find your scooter and an unexpected error occurred. I tried a few times and with closing all apps, rebooting the phone etc. I definitely had Internet access at the time. Tried to contact Hive but there is no phone number or ability to chat. Eventually left the scooter after trying for 20 minutes. Was charged $60 for a ride that should have $2-3 for the 3 minutes that I used between 3 blocks. What a disaster. There is no response to my email communication with them via their web page. Stay away from them!
Very very bad provider and service. I couldn't end my ride for 20 minutes while the clock was running and i was paying. I tried to contact them but couldn't reach them and I never got an answer to the email I send about a refund. So I ended up paying way too much money for a 4 minute ride, plus spent 20 minutes trying to end the ride in all possible ways.
I'll never use this service again! the operation zone in Lisbon is quite small compared to the other apps and I didn't realize this when I started my ride, so, at my destination, it didn't let me finish the ride, ok my mistake. So, I had to go back 3km to leave it inside the operation area, but half way through, in the middle of nowhere, it suddenly stops and ends my ride. I tried to unlock it again, because the battery was still high, and all it says is that I can't ride this scooter again.
First three attempts to unlock a scooter failed, finally worked today. when I arrived at my destination, I tapped "Return ride", nothing happened. I tried several times and kept receiving an error message. My rental is still running and I have no idea what to do.... Just read the other reviews stating the very same issue. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
What looked like a fun and pleasant way to ride between two attractions for me and my family turned out to be not short of a scam.Registered one account, entered one card on one phone, then logged in with the same account on other 3 phones. Starting the first vehicle was smooth, then when trying to start the other 3 it first complained that the account was already in use, then that the card was. So it basically required to enter 4 different cards for us to ride together. Ended up uninstalling.
Invisible scooters?! Of the 2 times I tried using Hive scooters, a cluster of 5 or 6 were available. Only 1 of them was actually there, the others might be covered in an invisibility cloak. The one that was actually there said I should get closer to unlock it. I was standing on it! And my GPS works perfectly in all other apps. Can't figure this out...
- wasn't able to return scooter even when I was inside operation zone, my scooter was shown on app at the same place from where I took it 2 stars because of incredibly low response time from support, after 18 mins from sending request to support, they send a respond, and charge for rental was cancelled and back on my account. If app would work as suppor does then it would be ok
Horrible app, doesn't even let you sign up for an account, when I tried to agree to the terms and conditions, it took me to the web page with the agreement with no way to actually say 'I agree', and when I go back it kicks me back to the beginning of the signup process. Worthless waste of time!
Great way to explore city. Used first in Wroclaw on Samsung Galaxy S9. These scooters are better to ride than the Lime-S alternatives - faster acceleration, lighter and better handling. App worked well and was easy to use, easy to find scooters and know battery remaining. I did almost 8 miles. Would feel better if you could pay via PayPal.
scooter has locked itself on the go. parking / unparking didn't help. finished ride and started again. very poor usability of the app, scooter itself is rather ok - with sound notifications of finished ride, headlight, good stability on the go.
I ended my ride and the app did not work properly. I used it 12 minutes and I was charched for 35 minutes until I texted to support to check again it was closed because my friends told me there was an open hive under our building! Do not use this app!!!! They charge you more than they should!!!
The app glitches and crashes frequently, the QR scanning rarely works and the both times I used the scooter there were errors, plus the scooters themselves aren't very ergonomic considering the brake is electronically activated, what if it stops working? Overall this service needs some tweaking compared to other scooter companies which are vastly better
The app kept telling me that I couldn't park after leaving the restricted area. Eventually, it let me park and charge me extra for extra 7 minutes. I deleted the app because of this. There are so many other apps available. Choose another one instead Hive.
1. very low height. 2. has disbalance and when you try to break in high speed it just rotates. 3. you can finish your ride only in small part of the city.
What a bs service. First my payment info dissappears and I need to re-enter it (no camera to auto enter either), then it says my email address is already in use. Have to go out, re-enter everything 2 more times. Then I want to take a scooter, but the nearest one is not near, out of my way and hard to navigate to because of the gigantic and unprecise symbol. When I want to drop it off, it says I'm out of the region. While it's still the city centre and I see all other services operate here.
The scooters are good, that's where it ends. The map on the app shows you numerous scooters, you only find out they aren't there after walking around for ages. We couldn't end our ride as it said we were out of the boundary, but we were in the direct centre of the boundary. There is no tel number to contact just email, but while you're emailing and waiting for a reply, the bill for the ride time is going up. They contacted us 27 hours later requesting more info! We were back in the UK ffs!
I couldn't rent a scooter because app said I was standing too far from it, while in real I was right next to it. Of course my GPS was turned on. Anyway this requirement is just stupid. How would I get QR code if I wasn't standing next to it? Operational area in Warsaw is also just too small. I had one successful ride with this app, but I can't remember how many times I just couldn't start the scooter. With other providers I don't have such issues
Can't even log in. It just says: an unexpected error occurred. Worked a week ago but then I lost all devices on the map and wasn't be able to go to the account view. This app shouldn't be released to play store...
Around 90% of time the app doesn't show available scooters. When I click on "account" I keep seeing "503 Forbidden" . Very rarely Im able to see scooters and use the app normally. Looks like app can't communicate with server. Wrpte many times to support - no answers from them. Guys, please do smth with that. Such behaviour of app is unacceptable. Im located in Wroclaw,Poland.
Vienna, Austria. I took 4 scooters in less than 15 minutes and anyone worked correctly. I couldn't start one (of course I was charged by than), other 2 suddenly stopped working and the fourth was not working at the right speed (ultra slow). Definitely the worst experience... I rather choose Lime by far
A great and fun service, been using this while in Athens on vacation, they are all over the place with a useful stop and go switch on ether side of the handle bar. simple to use park anywherw thats not causing obstruction or bracking the law and dont park in red zones. I only ran into one issue the whole time and that was my own fault, and the people at customer service were very helpful and courteous. would recomend this to anyone of legal age to ride.
This app is a peice of junk, it charges you 5€ just to set up an account, and I'm glad that my card denied this payment, but because of that I keep getting notifications that I cant pay this app. And it's driving me crazy!
All worked well, except the scooter. Unfortunately the model I took was damaged and moved very slow. The excellent customer service reacted quickly on my feedback and I received 20 minutes for free. Operation zone in Vienna could be bigger but maybe they will expand it in the future.
I wanted to ride today. I connected on the scooter scanned the SQ code. I get on on it but still alarming. So i give up it. I wanted to end the ride but wont allow me to stop it so i logout my account and then closed the apps. I reopen the account few minutes later and it say i did 1km and took 8 euro. I wont ride this again and i want to deactivated my account but it doesnt allow me to.
DO NOT USE THIS APP!! I got it and the ride was normal, no problems at all, but when I got home and I couldn't lock it because it was outside their servise area. I was not informed that it only services a tiny area of my city and I had to got almost all the way back to where I took it and I paid double the amount I was going to. I was late to my appoiontement because of them and I had to take the bus to go home in the end. There was no warning that I could not leave the designated area.
Used these a few times whilst in Gdansk - they're easy to use, cheap and fun. I only had trouble one time ending a trip because I was in a business zone. The initial €4.50 payment is just a card check and will be refunded shortly after. Didn't experience any issues with locking/unlocking - the app just requires a bit of patience sometimes when it's loading.
