Hiya - Caller ID & Block

I love this app. It works just like described. I tried others but this one does best.I was getting about 30 calls a day for advantage Plans . Now it's down to a few a day. I used the 2.99 one thank you. but upgraded to premium and it's worth 15.00 a year to stop all those calls. Pay once a year and done. Thank you

I downloaded this app when I started receiving scam calls. Ever since, I haven't had a call from anybody I did not know. It also offers a choice which + number I do not want to call me.(e.g. I don't want numbers from +65 so I can block it in the block list.) When someone I do know calls, hiya would show me what is the callers name registered in hiya. If I do not want the name of the caller to appear on screen, than I can adjust in settings. Overall, a great app!

I love this app!! It screens my calls for the numbers that aren't in my contact list. It gives the caller a chance to call again, if not spam, so I may or may not accept the call. I have had no problem with this app!

Been getting A LOT of spam calld from lenders and other scams recently, thankfully we have this app so I know immediately which numbers to block. I hope they work with messages too. I've been receiving so many messages everyday it's been really frustrating.

This app used to be AMAZING, but now that's gone. I get atleast 4 spam calls a day and in the past 30 days Hiya has blocked two calls. I have everything as strict as it can be and have also blocked entire area codes. But I guess the spoofers are staying a step ahead of Hiya. Such a shame. Too bad I have a year subscription.

Can't verify your phone number as the app requires a code it texts you so when you go to your messages to get the code the app restarts the verify process all over again with a new code so you never can set that up at all. Also can't stop alerts from app unless it's paid so uninstalling the app.

I've been having a horrible problem with scammers and the like ringing my phone at all hours for almost the last 2 years. Finding a call blocker that would work was a necessity, or I was facing a possible need to change my number. Hiya worked amazing well as a free version. In my case, I purchased the yearly pro subscription. It has been working consistently well for over a year and a half. I have to sing the praises of the last updated feature! STOP OVERRIDING MY SETTINGS!!! I turn off "appear on top" and app keeps turning it back on! Not OK! It gets in the way, and it's frustrating to have to close it every call. Even shows up on my work app (has a phone function different from the default phone app)! Used to be great but now it's only good for flagging & blocking spam & sharing info on callers. Fomerly free features are "premium" now, yet functionality has gone downhill.

I've had this app a good while now. Like many of its type, relies heavily on crowdsourcing to ID spammers, and seems to become less reliable over time. More scam and spoofed calls get through than should. Settings could also be better (more options on the user side vs only the app side). If you want the premium features, you can subscribe but frankly I found the experience only marginally better.

This app now forces you to pay for a subscription: since the last update, the app wont let you fully open it without paying the subscription fee first. That right there says more than enough about the app maker(s) being greedy. I refuse to believe they cant afford to offer a free basic version to those of us who DONT want all the extra features. And I should still be allowed to fully open the app and scroll through it, despite not wanting to pay a subscription fee.

I have a request. Can you update the software to block, PORTFOLIORECOV? This contact keeps changing their number. Can you also block calls that are not on our contact list? Great app for filtering calls.

Doesn't block the call unless you pay. Scam calls ring like normal, with a message popping up telling you it's a scam call. Most phones do that anyway, making this app useless. Unless you're planning to pay for this app every month, don't waste your time.

I've had this app for years and in the beginning it was great, blocked spam calls, sent them to voice-mail or text, all was free! Now you have to subscribe to premium to get what used to be free! I'm getting all kinds of calls from non- contacts that used to be screened so I'm not even sure why I still have this app on my phone since it's not screening anything anymore. I used to refer this app to anyone looking for a great call blocker, not anymore.

I just got a new phone I have a subscription for the year mine ends in July and it won't allow me to restore my subscription. This is super unprofessional and straight up stealing.

Ad free, super inexpensive & wonderfully easy to use - I really love that it sends an unwanted caller a text letting them know their call was automatically blocked (& would continue to be) - & that AS the call is being blocked it informs you WHY - ie: suspected spam or fraud call likely. Highly recommended.

The nuisance calls were driving me nuts and I had deleted Robocaller because it was just too complicated to set up properly. I have a Samsung phone and Samsung recommended this app so I've been using it for a month, and it works great! As robocalls came in, I blocked them and now I'm down to one or two calls a day instead of 10.

This is the best money I have ever spent. I used to get so many spam/ scam calls and this does exactly what it says on the tin. Every dodgy call and text gets blocked and I get great satisfaction getting a notification which tells me so.

I had been getting calls from PACs every day several times a day for the past 3 months. Because they're political organizations, they don't fall under the Do Not Call registry. It was becoming harrassment, but Hiya has now blocked all those calls as well as other spam calls, which has made my phone life much nicer. Thank you!!

I really don't like adds. But i tolerate them if something is important . Hiya is a great for identifying calls. I love it. They block all my spam calls. Its a great app.

Pretty good app. I wish one of the caller categories to choose from when making a report could be "Scam Likely". That's what the call shows, Scam Likely.

Very effective. Keeps getting better. I highly recommend the premium version. It's a bargain for the annual price.

Stopped accepting reports DO NOT USE. Started sending spam/scam text messages. While phone numbers can be blocked it's EXTREMELY AGGRAVATING to have to receive them. Deleting this app.

Best App like this around. Easy to use. Software is smooth compared to other junky ones. Premium version is cheap. Opens up all features. Blocks unwanted calls from any Country Codes I select. Amusing how some people complain about the free version. Oh please. Do you want everything to be free??

I haven't had any text scams until I downloaded this app. I had the app for just a few days and now they are happening. From single texts to even group texts. It's a shame refunds aren't allowed. Hiya is compromised. Don't waste your time with this app.

Please take off the pop-up. It's annoying and not needed while making calls, otherwise I'd give a 5 star. It blocks spam calls and does everything else I need. I paid for all the spam to stop.

I like this app compared to Truecaller as it allows marking spam calls but I miss the feature to change the name of the person/business (Truecaller has this feature). In terms of identification of calls, Truecaller is better. I use both apps Truecaller and Hiya.
