HLS Player Simulator FREE
This app is a simple HLS analyzer probe and stream validator that downloads HLS playlists and media segments. You can use it to gain ad hoc insight into stream quality and validate your HLS streams.
The app simulates a HLS player and provides insight into ABR switching and current CDN capability to deliver MEDIA playlists and segments in time for the client to achieve consistent playback and good quality picture and sound.

- Adaptive bitrate playback simulation
- MASTER and MEDIA playlist analysis, both live and VoD
- BANDWIDTH and TARGETDURATION parameters analysis
- Segment size, duration and download time analysis
- CC error check of non-encrypted TS (Transport Stream) segments
- Preview playback of non-encrypted TS (Transport Stream) segments
- Keep device awake option to perform longer analysis

Omg this app is amazing , keep up the grat work!
Useful Tool. Great information for analyzing HLS streams. Would like to see some more features but it's a handy little app. (Response to dev: it's difficult to identify features I'd like to see. It has been nearly a year since I needed the app and am now unemployed. The core desire is to know what the chosen player might be receiving. Which audio stream is it trying to decode? Are there ad breaks? Which bit rate ABR stream are we downloading? What's actually streaming vs expected? AV delay? Etc.
