Checked the website and it said they have a VPN server on a particular Caribbean island but I had to upgrade to use it. I upgrade and it turns out that the server's IP registers as Miami making it completely useless. Reached out to customer service and they took weeks to get back to me with a copy/paste response that didn't address my concerns at all.
UI is slick and usually responsive, but ran into the same problem multiple times: VPN drops, UI shows it disconnected, toggling back to On doesn't work and just sits there. Requires Force Stop on the app and restarting to get working again. Secondarily, couldn't use VPN internationally to access Netflix even though website talked up all their options/solutions.
Idk how various users faced the bugs they described in the reviews. I, for one, had no issues whatsoever and it's been 2 months that I've been using it. Bought a 36-month plan. App is very easy to navigate around and connections are well established with no drops in speed except for regions which are a little further (no significant drops, mind you). Will definitely recommend 100/10
HMA VPN is a good looking VPN. When it comes to streaming it's easily detectable as Proxy by DSTV NOW, Amazon Premier and a host of streaming services. Some other features are top notch. Attend to streaming issues.
It used to be really good but now whenever I try to connect it loads for a minute or two the says it can't. I checked if I needed to update but it still wouldn't work. I also checked if it was the country I was connecting to but still it would disconnect.
My review was taken down I guess... For anybody that cares about customer service their "instant chat" on their website is misleading; mostly because it doesn't exist. It will take you to a support form to fill out and then you'll have to wait OVER 2 WEEKS for them to respond. Good luck to anyone with an issue
Terrible Customer Service. App does not work on Windows. I've sent 4 support tickets since Tuesday & have not received a response. Zero stars should be an option when giving a review.
This App is awesome and subscribing for a full year was the best decision i made, untill few days ago when i realized that the Nigerian server suddenly stopped giving out Nigerian ips, it's actually giving out ips in Czech country. Please can this be fixed? That's the major thing i needed in your App. Thanks.
It is not working, rhe support is not responsive, and when I asked for refund, they stopped responding at all, so I can't even get my money back! They're a scam!

Too many issues connecting. When I try to manually connect it just spins. The app will do this forever until I shut it down and reboot. OnePlus 7 Pro. I've reached out to support and haven't received a response.
I frequently find it necessary to disable the VPN in order to utilize banking apps, make payments by credit card, etc., most of the reasons I want the protection of an encrypted, VPN connection in the fiest place. So, while the app generally works well enough, it's ineffective in serving its primary purpose.
Very poor performance on my android samsung s6lite. The HMA VPN keeps on turning off every 3 minutes interval

24 month contract - 85% downtime useless! Absolutely terrible. Can't get a stable connection via any android device or pc. Even 5g / 4g / 3g and 90mb land lines just "connecting". Reinstall after updating after reinstall and nothing.
This VPN keeps disconnecting and then refuses to reconnect no matter how many times I restart my phone. I can't really protect when it can't even connect.
Changing review from 4 stars to ONE star. Don't buy this VPN they will never reply to your E-Mails for any problem you are facing.... the worst customer service I have ever seen!
Hello, I am in Iran and I also have a license for this VPN, but unfortunately, whenever I want to connect to it, it does not recognize the IP at all. Please return this VPN, which worked very well, to the previous days, so that it can be connected to it.
I am in the uae and cannot access the customer services chat line to cancel my 7 day trail. Extremely frustarated that no one ever gets back through the emails i have sent, must be more than 10 mails i have sent. Terrible customer support. I would not recommend this service at all.

HMA! VPN had a great 30-day trial. Tried it and loved it. Super easy to use. Very quick. Prices after the trial were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who wants to secure their privacy and data while using WiFi anywhere, or just ensure that they are very private for any reason. No complaints at all about HMA! No problems with software on Android or Windows 10. No connection problems whatsoever. Love the ability to easily change servers!
I've been using this for quite some time, and it has mostly been good. It's the only app that allows me to access servers from the Caribbean, and I've gone through quite a number of vpns. However, i haven't been able to get it to work with my smarttv or android box because it's incompatible. If the developers could fix this or provide a tweak i would've given this 5 stars.
Works much better than the desktop version. Still, I can't give it 5 stars because of the bug related to the notification bar button - it says 'connected to VPN' when I'm disconnected and 'Connect to VPN' when I'm connected. Plus that it doesn't change color to grey (off) when disconnected. I'm surprised that such a basic functionality problem is right in the user's face... I'm on a OnePlus 7t pro, running Android 10.
Been using this for 7 years but now the VPN keeps dropping on my phone. It works perfectly on my computer. On the phone it works for a while then it just hangs and will not connect. Tech support says reinstall, yes that works but have to do it daily which is not an option.
