Steep learning curve to set up your patient account, but once achieved, very detailed, very good app, wonderful. Make sure you have strong wi-fi/internet signal. I'm also hearing-impaired so I use my Powerbeats3 (from Costco, under $100) to help boost microphone/sound. Other than that, I advise you to take advantage of the camera on your phone or tablet to take pictures. It's very useful to have in your medical file for insurance purposes. Just a helpful tip! God bless!!
I love telehealth as it allows me to remain at home, decreases travel and wait times, able to see each other without a mask thus keeping the session personable. This was the first time using the HMSA app and it was great! The countdown clock was a nice touch that wasn't distracting at all. Will use this again in the future.
This app does not function that great. The abrupt ending is irritating at least. The least this app could do is count down the last minute in seconds so you're not abruptly cut off in the middle of a sentence. And if you're lucky it'll function correctly through your appointment
Clean and simple. I was able to connect to a dr quickly and everything went smoothly. I had a likely gum/tooth infection while traveling and was able to start treatment with antibiotics before coming home without having to wait for a clinic to open here or worry about out of network costs. Very satisfying.
Less than one star. The app itself is barely usable and every time I'm about to see a physician, it kicks me to a different provider and to the back of the queue. I waited 3 fing hours and when I finally got connected , the fing audio wouldn't load. I ended up having to take an Uber to the ER since I couldn't wait another 3 hours
Knowing there was an app to go to for when I wanted to see a doctor was really helpful. And the app was very easy to use, the connection was clear. It wod even give you countdown when your time was almost up. That was an interesting addition. Helped me to try to remember what else I wanted to talk about before time ran out. Thanks HMSA!
As long as your connectivity to the internet is good, then you will have no problem seeing and hearing Dr for online visits. So much easier then flying to hear results. Also very easy to use for other services as well.
I don't care for Skype at all, or the like, but I must admit that this particular app had a really good connection & I also had a pretty cool convo w/ my doc, like in person...and I didn't even have to drive there and/or look for parking!😊👍
This app really puts me at ease and allows me to speak to physicians out of the comfort of my own home when i may feel too sick to go anywhere or on the run if im too busy to stop and wait in a doctor's office. its simple and easy to use and i will definitely utilize in the future.
Volume was low and hard to hear and video was a little choppy...maybe because I wasnt on wifi. Overall a good experience.
The entry process to see a doctor took longer than expected with the amount of questions asked, but in comparison to driving to my actual physician and finding parking, I still think it's still the fastest and easiest way to get a professional opinion with prescription capabilities.
Amazing! Being able to converse and see each other. There was a little audio lag but overall it did the job.
I like this because it's easier to text Dr. Harada. This way she can get back to me when she is not busy. The message gets to Dr. Harada right away. And she gets back to me right away. So. Don't get rid 9f this system. I like it.
Very easy to use once you log all your info. So much better than going and waiting somewhere in a room full of sick people, especially during this time.
I love the app! Suggestions: Add a time in waiting room- letting patients know how long they will probably be waiting. I sat in a waiting room so long that I canceled only to see the doctor was no longer online. I waited 30 min for no reason. Notifications- tell us the doctor left or is not active/Idle while in the waiting room. Maybe they forgot to log off? Telephone- offer calls and video upfront. Boredom- Don't kick us offline if we go into another app while waiting. Thanks!!
It is very difficult to switch between patient s. You have to go all the way out and come back in. We only see one doctor. Why doesn't that doctor come up as the first choice? Why do I have to search each time for that doctor?
Very convenient accessibility. Saved me a trip to the urgent care clinic. While waiting for the doctor to come in view, I really enjoyed reading each health fact and shared it with my family as it came up. Thank you!
not having to drive to the doctor for non threatening concerns is so appreciated. app is easy to setup. video quality varies but fine enough.
Convenient. Voice is a bit on and off, not sure if it's wifi problem at home or app issue though
Wow most easiest and convenient way to see a doctor. Very effective, saved me from spreading my germs at work. Thanks for the app!
Very useful app. It keeps me in touch with my provider. She moved across the country, but thankfully this app allows me to keep seeing her.
Convenient and helpful during this time of limited interactions in person. I Love my therapist she's really great help and it enables me to see her weekly.
In general I love this app except that sometimes the connection cuts out and I don't think it's my internet connection. Is there any way this can be addressed? Thank you!
Terrible! Tried to reser password and said would email me link. I tried several times and nothing. I missed my doctor's appointment because of this.
It's stuck at the loading page. I'm on WiFi. Spent 10 minutes waiting for the app to load a login page.
The signal connection isn't consistent & drops or breaks up a few or more times automatically every session with 3 - 4 bars out of 5 bars on a 4g signal. Video is disrupted more often than sound and sound more often than complete dropped session needing to recconect. during those times. This is all on mobile phone on verizon 4G LTE.
